The Dreadwake is part of a new game time bundle promotion in celebration of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, which grants the mount and 180 days of game time for $77.94 USD. Recent 180 day game time purchases made within 30 days of the promotional launch date (approx August 19, 2018) and recurring subscriptions also automatically award the mount with no extra charge. The offer lasts from September 19th - October 21, 2018 and the mount must be claimed in the Battle.net desktop app (gift box icon in the upper right hand corner of the launcher) before April 30th, 2019. It is a flying mount, similar to the one Jaina commandeered in the Battle for Lordaeron cinematic, but themed more around pirates and kraken, with giant wing like sails protruding from the sides. It makes a unique bell toll when mounting, appears/disappears with a splash of water, and the /mountspecial command fires its cannons.

I just purchased this and seeing as no one has mentioned this yet, it is a flying mount, but it is NOT a passenger mount. Nor does it float/waterwalk. Still gorgeous model though and the /mountspecial on it is awesome the cannons which also independently rotate fire.

This mount uses the same base model as the 暴风城逐天战机, with the back passenger seat replaced by a chest of gold and a mast which supports a crows nest and furled mainsail. Various ropes and riggings hang from the mast, and an anchor hangs from a chain off the side of the boat, all of which bob and sway as the mount moves.

The side propellers have been replaced by two sets of side sails that extend as the mount begins moving, and a ghostly blue water effect shimmers across the bottom of the mount at all times.

Ships bells chime as the mount is being summoned, and mounting and dismounting both create a splash of water and fish around the player.

It's sad that it is not a water walking mount.

BUT, you can use it with 幽光鱼竿 and the 幽光祝福 trait on water, and have your friends believe that their 惊魂号 is broken. ;)

Nice effect when you mount and dismount, it's gorgeous and filled with little piratey details. And, it fits through doorways!
The only thing that would make this better is if it worked like the Water Strider mount and went full speed over water. No one would have a word to say about the cost if that were the case.
I absolutely love it anyway.

The flying animation is a little...bumpy. You might want to zoom the camera out when using it.

The /mountspecial to fire the cannons currently doesn't have any sound associated with it even though it shoots cannonballs :( Would be awesome if they added sound to that!

Too much hate directed at blizz for trying to 'trap' players into buying a six month sub. I would say that was true if blizz gave it a 'limited-time-only' tag.

Instead, blizz immediately announced it will also be available in the store sometime next year as a separate purchase. The six month sub has always been available, nice to get something free with it.

Ton of people in battle.net saying this should walk on water.At first im like why itll hover above it while flying.

But while in boralus I now change my view.

This thing should easily walk on water since no flying yet out here. If they didnt 'cause of pvp battles thats not a good enough reason (Excuse). This thing should float or walk on water..Its like buying a fishing pole and it does everything except help you fish.
ITS A FRIGGEN PIRATE SHIP! should anyone say anymore.....

This is WoW guys, we got lots of stuff that don't obey physics laws, AND we already had another 'boat' that couldn't walk on water or float... Wait they DO float, just on ground, and they can FLY. There is no mount in the game that can do more than 2 terrains properly. Sure you can dive with this but you could dive with any other flying mount and they would go in the same speed. That's why we already have AQUATIC mounts, once you pop outta water what happens? You're dismounted from them.

I know I may get downvoted all the way but I really need a GOOD reason why y'all complaining about it not floating, since even at the promotion page it says it can FLY. Well then, if blizz would have to change it to float on water, then they should keep their line and REMOVE the flying ability, or keep it and this could be the first mount that could do 3+ terrains in the game.

Apart from that, in my opinion this should be called The Flying Dutchman, more appropriate name. Wondering if I renamed my outlaw rogue to Davy Jones would feel even more piratey, heh.

Got it automatically for having a 6 months recurrent subscription. Received it as a gift in the App. Subscription was renewed in June, hence I reckon everybody should receive it for having the 6 months sub, regardless of the billing cycle, as previously stated by Blizz.

Really wish it was less wobbly while flying but I suppose it's fitting that the boat mount is giving me seasickness.

Surprised nobody complained about the flying camera yet. It's very low right now and should be raised up quite a bit imho.

This mount can no longer be obtained by purchasing 6 months of game time. Blizzard confirmed it will be added as a shop mount somewhere in 2019. Right now there is no way to obtain this mount.

Received the Dreadwake today (3 november) although I didnt purchase the 6 month game time during the time frame but before it.
Not sure what happened to people who purchased it after the offer ended.

It was available as a Battle.net launcher "gift" along with Destiny 2.

Anyone ever just wish Blizzard would STOP removing paid promotions? I'd happily pay £100s on mounts, etc. IF they were still available, but Blizz have this obsession with ruining good mounts with FOMO and I'm getting a little sick of it.
