Tol Barad: A Prisoner's Battle for Baradin Hold

is a battleground found in Eastern Kingdoms. Unlike almost all other battlegrounds, this one persists in Azeroth at all times, and can be accessed by riding into the zone from

above, as well as through queuing for the battle. Battles are scheduled every hour, and the size of each team fluxes depending on the number of players who want to participate from each faction, though the numbers are kept relatively even. When not in the midst of a battle, Tol Barad is an dangerous zone filled with prisoners roaming freely with daily quests available to players of the controlling faction. The Baradin Hold raid (BH) is located in the hold at the center of the zone, and can only be accessed by players of the controlling faction.
Here, the achievements found in Tol Barad are addressed. Maps, explanations, and strategies to complete each achievement are presented in an organized manner to assist all players, regardless of faction or level (so long as they are 85+).

In the center of the zone is Baradin Hold (marked in yellow), which houses the Baradin Hold raid instance and can pretty much be ignored for the duration of the battle. Some players from the attacking team may choose to camp around the hold to kill defending players, as they are resurrected at the top of the hold and jump down. In the top left is the bridge (marked in yellow), which is the only pathway to Tol Barad Peninsula to the north. As it is the resurrection spot for attacking players, some players on the defending team may choose to camp that area.
The active battle zones in Tol Barad are the three barracks (marked in green) that can be held by each faction as they gain control of the area.
Also of note are the three prisons (marked in purple), one of which will randomly open after a battle culminates to allow players from the controlling faction to complete quests.

Strategy:
Tol Barad is devised such that there is an attacking team and defending team pitted against one another every hour. These teams are determined by which faction last held Tol Barad, similar to the setup of Wintergrasp. The attacking team is given 15 minutes to simultaneously secure control of the three bases around the island, while the defending team attempts to prevent them from doing so. The attacking team may use

Daily quests in Tol Barad come from both the Peninsula zone and the Battle zone.
Quests in the Peninsula can be obtained and completed at any time, regardless of the Battle zone status. The quests are broken into sections, so only one from each set can be obtained and completed each day.
Battle zone quests (in Tol Barad itself) can only be obtained while the zone is held by the character's faction, though they can be turned in to an NPC in the Peninsula if the questgiver is unavailable (ie. if the zone is held by the opposing faction or the battle is underway). One of the three jails (The Hole, Cursed Depths, and D-Block) will be randomly opened after each battle, and the three-quest set provided will match the open jail. Failure to complete them during the downtime between battles will result in having to wait until the next time that jail is randomly opened. Three additional quests will always be offered, and are not jail-specific.

While your team is attacking Tol Barad, use the Abandoned Siege Engines to destroy a tower.
Strategy:
It should be noted first that only the player whose deployed Siege Engine strikes the killing blow on a tower receives credit for this achievement, and not the entire raid group. The player does not have to be near the Siege Engine, however, as long as they remain in the battle. Once a player has obtained an honorable kill in the battle, they may control any of the Abandoned Siege Engines found scattered around the island. There are six total Siege Engines, and their sole abilities are a speed boost and deploy siege engine. A Siege Engine may only be deployed while in close proximity to a tower, although they may be re-abandoned if a player dismounts or the Siege Engine is destroyed. Deploying the Siege Engine will cause it to automatically bombard the tower, slowly depleting its health. This is the only way for towers to lose health, as they cannot be attacked directly by players.
Destroying a tower will increase the time allowed for the attacking team to attempt to gain control of Tol Barad.

Strategy:
Everyone in the defending raid group will receive credit for this achievement as Siege Engines are destroyed. There are six total Siege Engines scattered around the island, and they will most likely be used by the attacking team to destroy the towers. Siege Engines can be attacked while abandoned, controlled, and deployed, so there are many opportunities to deplete their health. Siege Engines may not be damaged before they have been piloted, however, so it is necessary that they have at least been taken control of at some point.
All three Siege Engines must be destroyed within a single battle to receive this achievement, as credit will be reset at the start of each battle.

Strategy:
Everyone in the defending raid group will receive credit for this achievement as Siege Engines are destroyed. There are six total Siege Engines scattered around the island, and they will most likely be used by the attacking team to destroy the towers. Siege Engines can be attacked while abandoned, controlled, and deployed, so there are many opportunities to deplete their health. Siege Engines may not be damaged before they have been piloted, however, so it is necessary that they have at least been taken control of at some point. In order to receive credit, however, the Siege Engine must be deployed to attack a tower before being destroyed.
Credit for the destruction of twenty Siege Engines must be obtained by an individual character across all the battles in which the player participates.

Strategy:
Success in this achievement depends on a player being aware of what is happening at all the bases. Camping out at each base until the required honorable kills are obtained is possible, but requires a bit of finesse and luck. Instead, it is advised that a player move to whichever base their team is attacking - the chances of receiving honorable kills increases with attacking rather than defending. Additionally, it ensures that a player is always closest to fighting, but again, since they will be attacking rather than defending, their chances of staying alive are increased.

Strategy:
Since a player must participate in at least 25 battles, there is no rush to obtain all the achievements in a single battle. By focusing on a single achievement each time, a player is not only more likely to complete that achievement, but also more attentive to the battle in general. Upon completing the desired achievement for that battle, the player should spend the remaining time trying to help the group win.
As soon as a battle is won, the player should look to join one of the raid groups forming or alert their guildmates to start their own raid.
Raiding in Tol Barad: Baradin Hold

: Defeat the Pit Lord Argaloth.
Argaloth

is found inside Baradin Hold, the raid under Tol Barad. It is only accessible while your faction controls Tol Barad.
While in either 10-player or 25-player raid sizes, defeat the Pit Lord.
Strategy:
The entire raid group should be divided in half, with a tank in each group as well as evenly splitting the healers and DPS. Each group should be assigned one of the corners of the metal grid that Argaloth is standing on before the fight starts. Each time Argaloth casts

on his current target, the tanks should switch threat to avoid taking too much damage while waiting for the debuff to fall off.
When Argaloth's health falls to 66% and 33%, he will cast
邪火风暴
. When it begins, all players should run around the room and not stop moving until the cast stops. Once it is over, players should return to their original spots and continue fighting.
Healers should be particularly aware of

, as it needs to be dispelled immediately.

is found inside Baradin Hold, the raid under Tol Barad. It is only accessible while your faction controls Tol Barad.
While in either 10-player or 25-player raid sizes, defeat Occu'thar.
Strategy:
The boss should be tanked where he stands, though turned away from the rest of the raid. He will periodically cast

, striking any player in a 60* cone in front of him, so it is important that only the tank is in front of Occu'thar. An off-tank should be used to switch aggro off the main tank after it has been cast, as shadow damage taken is increased by 100% for 30 seconds for any player hit by the cast.
The raid group should stack near Occu'thar's hindquarters, as there's no real need to spread out most of the time. When he casts
欧库塔尔之眼
, it's imperative that all damage-dealers switch their focus off the boss and onto the adds, using AoE attacks to kill them before ten seconds elapse. While they deal damage during the first ten seconds, after that passes the eyes explode, dealing

for a significant blow to the raid. Once the adds are dead, everyone should return their focus to the boss and resume the fight.
When the boss casts

on a player, everyone (including that player) needs to move away from that spot, and the player should keep moving until the cast ends. Fire will spawn wherever his eye beams hit, so everyone needs to be paying attention enough to avoid standing in it.

Strategy:
Tank the boss where she stands before the fight begins, as it will make the fight explanation easier. The rest of the raid should stack up together in a predetermined spot. Within 6-8 seconds of being pulled, Alizabal will randomly cast either
刺穿
or
沸腾之怨
. If it is
刺穿
, it will be cast on the main tank, and the off-tank must taunt aggro off of them. If it is
沸腾之怨
, since the raid is already stacked up, the damage will be easily mitigated. Eight seconds later, she will cast the other ability, and then roughly twenty seconds later, she will cast
刃舞
. When it starts, she will spin her way over to a randomly chosen player, pirouette for a few seconds, and repeats the process until the buff fades, dealing damage to anyone in her way. In order to minimize damage, players need to spread out when she starts the cast and stack back up after it ends.
Alizabal will repeat this process of one cast each of
刺穿
and
沸腾之怨
before
刃舞
until she has been defeated (or the raid has).

A word about the Tol Barad All-Star achievement: You need 10 honorable kills at each of the three bases. You do not have to do all 30 kills in the same battle; however, there are circumstances under which your progress will be reset.
The rules are weird and somewhat complex, so I'll try to outline them as clearly as I can:
1. Once you have 10 kills done in one location, these 10 kills will never be reset under any circumstance.
2. Partial progress in a location (that is, 1 to 9 kills) WILL be reset if:
(a) The battle for Tol Barad ends.
(b) You die within Tol Barad.
3. Partial progress is NOT reset if:
(a) You leave the battle before it ends.
(b) You die outside Tol Barad.
The strategy, therefore, is to concentrate on getting 10 kills in a single place, at which point it can't be reset. If you have partial credit towards a particular location, take what steps you can to avoid having that progress reset: that is, try not to die (stay close to other teammates, pop defensives, stealth or invis out of dangerous situations if you can), and exit the battle before it officially ends if necessary.

The title really suits your guide, too bad tol barad. nobody is in here and the only thing you get is a couple of honor points for waiting around a couple of minutes.

About Tol Barad All Star achie. You do not need to in battle time to get it. You can simply getting by your friends help if they have over 85 lvl other faction char and enough lvled that u get honorable kill from him. just wait in the place where u need the kill and kill your friend when he comes. he spawn near his camp at below section it ll take some time. but u can do it that way also.

Excellent Guide however the time between each battle is 60 minutes not 2.5 hours. Also on my realm (ravencrest) we (alliance) 99% of the time control the area. Horde rarely shows up now due to the team we have at each battle.

You can get to Tol Barad from the Tol Barad Peninsula? That does not say much on how to get to Tol Barad. Tol Barad is the islands off the Northwest part of the Eastern Kingdoms. Far West of the Wetlands. You cannot fly there directly, you have to use the portal in Stormwind. 73, 18, the tests with the blue and white banner. As for Horde, I've found information that says it is, it is the portal in Orgrimmar, just above the Valley of Wisdom near the flight master.
