While in
you come across a strange book that seems to be about relics. As you examine the book, a name, "
", begins to glow. Perhaps if you can find
, you can learn more. (
)
You come across
just outside the Seeker's Quorum, hiding under an illusion of a rock.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: You... are not one of them? Please, I need assistance!
motions for you to be quiet, and explains that he has no time to think about research or relics. The nearby Mawsworn have his teacher,
, and they're torturing her. You need to rescue her, not least because she has information that could be deadly if it falls into
's hands. (
)
Scholar Roh-Suir says: The Archivist must be rescued. All of our fates depend on it.
You manage to kill
's tormentor,
, and loot the
from him, allowing you to set
free.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: I am in your debt, mortal.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: You must have been sent by Roh-Suir. I will go to him at once.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: Thank the Purpose you are safe! Did the interrogator...
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Fear not, Roh-Suir. My resolve endured.
While
usually abhors violence, sometimes you're left with no alternative. You will need to carve a path through the Mawsworn if
and
have any hope of escaping the area. (
) She also shares with you the secret of the
. In an Archivist's hands, this powerful item can be used to locate influential and important relics in the
. To keep it safe, it's been split into three parts - and the Mawsworn have these parts. They don't yet know what they have. With your help, they hopefully never will. (
)
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Recover the Lodestaff. We will await you in a safer locale.
While clearing Mawsworn, you find the
on
, the
on
, and the
on
. You bring these pieces to
, who uses them to recreate the
.
She tells you that, ideally, they would use energy from another powerful relic called
to infuse this staff. However, it's also possible to use anima as a substitute. She hands you the
and asks that you gather this anima. (
)
Once the
is charged, it will be possible to restore its functions, but only with the help of the Archivists - plural. As in, you will need the help of those Archivists who came before. They were laid to rest near where you are. What with the Mawsworn invasion and everything, this might be your last chance to visit their memorials before they're destroyed.
tells you to take
with you, to record any messages the Archivists wish to pass along. (
)
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Heed the words of the archivists, Roh-Suir. The staff requires both anima and wisdom to function.
The area that the memorials can be found in is covered in Devourers, who turn out to be quite useful.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: Even devourers serve the Purpose. We will reclaim the anima they feed upon to empower the Lodestaff.
The former Archivists are
, and
. As
activates each memorial, an echo of the memorial's Archivist appears, offering words of wisdom.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: Let us call upon the archivist's echo.
Archivist Roh-Gema says: History forgets far more than it remembers.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: Allow me.
Archivist Roh-Luda says: Knowledge is nothing without understanding.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: I have read stories about this archivist.
Archivist Roh-Kiel says: Seek wisdom, but never covet it.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: One moment, please.
Archivist Roh-Mah says: A secret is only as powerful as those who fear it.

can each be found close to their corresponding memorial,
ARCHIVIST ROH-GEMA, KEEPER OF TRUTH
An Archivist functions as a conduit for the transferal of knowledge.
However, the Archivist does not shoulder this burden alone. They rely upon the assistance of others who are faithful to the Purpose.
ARCHIVIST ROH-LUDA, RELIC RESTORER
The afterlives of the Shadowlands give rise to many curious, fantastic, and unstable relics. It is our Purpose to catalog, curate, study, and safeguard them.
By our ministrations, we will better understand the nature of each afterlife, we will comprehend how disparate souls fit in the fabric of existence, and perhaps most importantly, we will keep potentially dangerous relics out of the hands of those who would misuse them.
ARCHIVIST ROH-KIEL, SPEAKER FOR ALL
The Lodestaff serves a unique purpose. It can effectively locate the rest of the relics.
Each Archivist is attuned to the relics they studied. When five pass their attunements to the Lodestaff, it can be harnessed to locate these objects.
ARCHIVIST ROH-MAH, SCRIVENER OF WISDOM
The Shadowlands are composed of multitudinous afterlives. It is no small wonder that the properties of some subset of these afterlives, and the personalities of those who reside there, would lead to the existence of fantastic relics.
Our studies, therefore, are not merely centered on the relics, but also on the beings with which they are associated, as well as their afterlife of origin.
You manage to empower the
better than Roh-Senara could have expected. She asks you to meet her and
at the peak of Hope's Ascent, mentioning that there is one last thing that must be done. (
)
Scholar Roh-Suir says: It is tragic that so many loyal Archivists are no longer with us.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: They served the Purpose as intended, and their wisdom aids us still.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: In time, you will understand.
With everything in place,
is ready to begin a ritual that will attempt to attune the
to the relics of
. (
) To
's shock,
does not just call on the spirits of the past Archivists to empower the
, she completes the ritual by sacrificing herself to join them.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Take your place at my side, mortal.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Fueled by anima and guided by wisdom, the Lodestaff will lead its wielder to every relic the archive has ever held. Our sacred Purpose shall continue.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Archivists of old! Give unto the Lodestaff all of your knowledge! Though your echoes will be forever lost, your sacrifice shall never be forgotten!
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Archivist Roh-Gema!
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Archivist Roh-Luda!
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Archivist Roh-Kiel!
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Archivist Roh-Mah!
Archivist Roh-Senara says: And... Archivist Roh-Senara. May my wisdom provide guidance in our darkest hour, so Korthia might once again witness the dawn.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: Roh-Senara, no! We need you!
Archivist Roh-Senara says: For the Purpose!
is understandably upset, but also knows that
's sacrifice has created hope. He decides to establish a new archive at Keeper's Respite. Before departing, He expresses a hope that he will meet you there, and perhaps even work with you in the future. (
)
Just as
is wondering how he will cope without
, a vision of her appears to offer some words of comfort and name
the new Archivist.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Scholar Roh-Suir, as my echo fades, I leave the Archive in your care.
Scholar Roh-Suir says: There must be someone else. I am not ready.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Yes, you are. Far more than you realize. From this moment forward, you are the Archivist of Korthia.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Retrieve the relics. Restore the Archive. And place your trust in the mortals who seek to aid you.
Archivist Roh-Suir says: I will do what I can, Roh-Senara. May the Purpose guide us.
Archivist Roh-Senara says: Purpose guide you, Archivist.

s.
When

The Archivists' Codex
Herein lies a catalogue of notable relics held within the archive. I shall endeavor to contextualize their history and significance as the Maw Walker aids me in recovering them.
May the Purpose grant me wisdom.
--Archivist Roh-Suir
Rank 1
The codex details both items that are never lost, and some that can still be found.
suggests you look around the relinquary, where you can see images of some of the items that can still be found. Then head out into
and see if you can recover them. (
)
There are five relics that you'll be searching for first: The
, the
, the
s, the
, and the
.
Book of Binding: The Mad Witch
When you find the
, a muffled voice seems to speak to you. The book appears to be damaged, missing many pages, and it wants you to recover these
)
You bring the
and the
to
, who seems troubled. The book shows evidence that it was a fellow scholar who damaged it, rather than the Mawsworn. To be safe, when he repairs the tome, he will leave one page out. Just in case restoring it entirely would be dangerous.
Celestial Shadowlands Chart
When you find the
, it appears at first to be useless - so much so, the local Mawsworn discarded it. However, if you can recover the correct
and bring both to
, he can probably restore the chart to its fully functional form. (
)
Diviner's Rune Chits
You come across a
and realize it's one of many. You look around until you have a complete set, and then bring them to
, who explains how they can be used for divination. (
)
Singing Steel Ingot
When you find an ingot, wailing mournfully at its mistreatment, you know it is the
. It seems upset about the way the Mawsworn have been abusing it, so you get revenge for it, while it cheers you on, before bringing it to
. (
)
The more Mawsworn you kill, the more excited it gets.
Singing Steel Ingot whispers: A single Mawsworn slain, a taste of vengeance once again!
Singing Steel Ingot whispers: Though forge and anvil my wrath is borne, so all my foes will know my scorn!
Singing Steel Ingot whispers: Such carnage wrought brings sheer delight. Slaughter all within your sight!
Talisman of the Eternal Scholar
When you find the
, it's dented and dirty, and seems quite badly cared for. You bring this
to
. It frankly won't be much use, but it still has sentimental value. (
)
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Roh-Senara kept the final page of this book in a different wing of the archive, and once chastised me when I took it upon myself to finish its restoration.
I often wonder what its prisoner did to warrant such a punishment. One can justify terrible acts in the pursuit of knowledge.
Item Note:
<The ancient tome has been painstakingly restored and reassembled, save for a single missing page. Upon opening the book, a voice that was once calm and measured shrieks at you in rage.>
Did you not understand my directions? Where is the final crimson page?!
You must release me from this prison!
And heed my warning... whatever you do, no matter what he tells you, do not touch the azure pages! Do not set him free! He speaks nothing but lies!
Archivists' Codex Entry:
I have always been fascinated by maps. A few lines and names scribbled onto parchment, and entire worlds unfurl before the one who reads them.
Seeing all of the realms at once reminds me of the grandeur of the Purpose... and of my infinitesimal part within it.
Item Note:
<No matter how long you examine the chart, you cannot make sense of it. The enchanted projection of the In-Between swirls in constant motion, and the myriad afterlives found within it are all but impossible to distinguish from one another.
It appears that the geography of the Shadowlands is beyond mortal understanding.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
This is one of many items within the archive crafted for divination. As I have always been guided by the Purpose, I sometimes ask myself if mortals are frustrated by the ambiguity of their existence.
And sometimes, I wonder if they relish the thrill of possibility.
Item Note:
<Esoteric runes have been delicately carved onto the surface of each divining chit. The Archivist's records state that a skilled runemaster can cast the chits after asking a question and obtain an answer from their orientation once they fall.
It is entirely possible that the chits hold no power of divination whatsoever, though you doubt they would have found their way into the archive were that the case.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
It occurred to me while cataloging the ingot that music is something rare in our culture. Other societies exult in their triumphs and lows, but we simply exist. The Purpose is enough for true fulfillment.
Still, I recently caught myself humming along to it.
Item Note:
<A haunting choral melody emanates from the ingot as you approach it. One might describe it as almost hypnotic, were it not for the occasional harsh and discordant notes punctuating the music at seemingly random intervals.
At least the ingot's song is without lyrics... for now.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Thank the Purpose! I had feared that the talisman and all of its history were lost forever.
Roh-Senara never revealed its power to me. Yet when I hold it, I can feel the weight of my responsibility. It fills me with the strength to carry on.
Surely, that is power in and of itself.
Item Note:
<The surface of the talisman is worn smooth by time and the touch of countless hands. According to Roh-Suir, it has been passed down from one archivist to the next in an unbroken chain since the first attendants arrived in Korthia.
Whatever power the talisman once possessed has long since been spent. Only its sentimental value remains.
Perhaps that is enough.>

Archivists' Codex Entry:
Today I asked Roh-Senara whether the Drust are truly part of the Purpose if they exist between Life and Death.
Instead of an answer, she posed a question in return: If the wind is not of soil or sky, is it truly part of nature?
It seems I have much to ponder.
Item Note:
<The fetish is unmistakably of Drust origin and seethes with the foul magic of Thros itself. You do not know how it arrived in Korthia, or if the Drust are aware that it is here.
Given what you know of the Drust, it might be best to avoid examining the fetish for too long.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Ah yes, this mask was one of the more recent additions to the archive. I understand that it originated from a mortal world but has passed through many a sorcerer's hand within the Shadowlands.
I suppose that even in Death, one often possesses secrets they wish to hide.
Item Note:
<This mask appears to be of shal'dorei make... but it has been altered with forms of magic that you do not recognize. The enchantment upon it seems more mercurial and intricate than even the most accomplished arcanist's handiwork.
One can only guess at what this illusion must be hiding.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
I asked Roh-Senara where the Netherstar came from, but she did not know. When pressed further, she shook her head.
"We must accept that some stories are simply lost. Those tales are no longer ours to tell. Instead, we find the ones that are."
Item Note:
<The device crackles with an immense amount of self-replenishing energy. So long as it is in the Archivist's possession, it can provide the Lodestaff with sufficient power to locate the relics that have yet to be recovered.
How it is able to generate such continuous power remains a mystery to you.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Every relic within the archive was made for an intended use. I once asked Roh-Senara why someone would craft a ring such as this.
"Perhaps they merely sought company," she mused, "even if it were only an illusion."
I did not understand what she meant. I believe I do now.
Item Note:
<Though unremarkable at first glance, a shimmering duplicate of the ring appears like a mirage in the desert when viewing its gemstone at an oblique angle.
You did not expect this relic's name to be quite so literal.>
Rank 3

Drum of the Death Loa
You find the

inside the Chamber of Knowledge. It belongs to

Everliving Statuette
The
can also be found within the Chamber of Knowledge. It is dropped by
, and resembles the statues that flank the Dark Portal. This statue will whisper to you while you carry it, and the things it has to say are... concerning... to say the least. (
)
So many secrets, so little time left to share them.
A city of secrets. A history of lies.
How many voices do you heed? How many are real?
Hope. Betrayal. Sacrifice. Faces change. The tale does not.
The seventh covets what the six hold fast. The fulcrum wavers. All will be undone.
Hidden from daylight, a sleeping flame rests atop the sixth tree.
Obelisk of Dark Tidings
The
is dropped by
warns you to be cautious while handling it, as more than one scholar was driven mad while attempting to research it. (
)
Sack of Strange Soil
Though not particularly dangerous, the
is truly remarkable, as it can grow any plant, anywhere. (
)
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Trickster. Liar. Swindler. A few of many words to describe Bwonsamdi. I feel as if I hear his voice whenever this drum is sounded.
Though he is the loa of Death, it is said that he began as a mortal. Perhaps that is why, despite his title, he always seems so full of life.
Item Note:
<Bwonsamdi's face features prominently on the skin of the drum, pulled taut into a lurid grin. Every so often, you can swear you see it wink at you out of the corner of your eye.
The drum is cold to the touch, and it produces a muffled sound as if being heard through a thick fog. As it fades, you can just barely hear a low rumble of laughter underneath.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
This statue has vexed me for eons. It claims to know much but speaks only in falsehoods. I once told Roh-Senara as much, and to my surprise, she laughed.
"There is one truth above all others," she said to me as she regarded the relic. "No one knows everything."
Item Note:
<It is difficult to determine the statuette's age, but something about it feels older than you can imagine. There is no telling what events it must have witnessed over the eons.
Roh-Suir has warned you not to trust any of its whispers. Whatever wisdom it seeks to share is surely wrapped in deceit.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
So much power in such a humble object. Its whispers speak of the Purpose--if there is only one true way, why then does it diverge into different paths?
Such musings might work on those who lack faith. But my kind are faith incarnate. There is no shaking our convictions.
Item Note:
<While in proximity of the strange totem, you can hear a quiet voice murmuring sweet lies and maddening truths. Or are they sweet truths and maddening lies? Perhaps they are all true... or perhaps all of them are false.
As darkness begins to cloud your vision, you quickly step back from the totem.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Though I am unfamiliar with its origin, this small parcel of earth seems most eager to cultivate life. Perhaps it is not soil, but possibilities that merely wait for the right moment.
"It is nothing so complicated," Roh-Senara told me with a laugh. "The soil merely fulfills its Purpose."
Item Note:
<The dirt within the satchel is a deep brown in color, almost black. A rich aroma arises from it, smelling of earth and spring.
Roh-Suir has mentioned that any seed planted within this soil will grow and thrive regardless of the climate in which it finds itself. In time, perhaps it could even regrow Korthia's own verdant greenery.>

Book of Binding: The Tormented Sorcerer

Archivists' Codex Entry:
Occasionally I wonder what would happen if I were to retrieve that final page. Would I be fulfilling the book's part of the Purpose?
And yet the adamant calls of the text only further my resolve to leave such matters be. Some stories are better left untold.
Item Note:
<When you first found this book, the muffled voice within was relatively calm. Now that it has been reassembled, save for a single page, the voice is yelling at you.
The tome rustles with every word.>
Are you here to release me? You must!
Recover just one additional azure page...
Remember, do not touch the crimson pages. Do not open the other book. She seeks to persuade you with her lies! You have been warned!
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Sometimes I ponder the nature of language. We learn to communicate, forming symbols that evolve into text. Yet languages vary widely, even within a single realm.
Would it not be in the best interests of the Purpose if we could all understand each other?
Item Note:
<Several blocks of text are etched into the stone, each in a different language. Although the writing is now legible, you do not recognize any of the languages inscribed. However, the text seems somehow familiar.
Perhaps if you were to squint, you could make out a word or two...
...or give yourself a headache in the process.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
We attendants are straightforward in our speech. Such is not the case with other beings.
Duplicity can be easy to detect. But there are more subtle inflections--sarcasm, innuendo, allusion--that often elude me.
Perhaps I should make use of this device myself.
Item Note:
<The device seems to be of broker design, yet infinitely more complex. Roh-Suir has made mention of its intended use to "discern the true intent" of a given phrase.
You are uncertain who made this device, but you suspect it may prove invaluable in the right hands.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
This relic makes me nervous. I do not like storing it in the archive, but Roh-Senara insists that we must. In our hands, she explained, we can be certain it will never be used.
We trust in the Purpose. Is it really so difficult to trust in each other as well?
Item Note:
<A massive amount of explosive energy hums within the orb. You cannot discern any physical mechanism that keeps the magic within contained.
This relic has existed within the archive for untold eons. If it were truly unstable and liable to explode at any moment, the archivists would certainly have taken measures to ensure its safe storage.
You simply hope such measures are still in place.>

At long last,
has uncovered the locations of the final relics. These are hard to find, but with the
, you'll have enough knowledge to locate them. These relics are the
, the
, and the Shadow Slicing Shortsword. (
)
With your newfound knowledge, interacting with certain
s will cause them to reveal a secret pathway, which can be used to reach each relic.
Bulwark of Divine Intent
The
is a shield from an afterlife known as the Inn of Forever. When spirits reach this afterlife, they hang up their arms. This shield represents the sense of duty and selflessness of its former owner. (
)
Lang Family Wood-Carving
Lang is a
surname, and the carving shows a
pagoda - though one that has apparently either long-since crumbled away, or it has yet to be constructed. (
)
Shadow Slicing Shortsword
considers this sword, which can literally slice away shadow, one of the most dangerous relics in your collection. (
)
Archivists' Codex Entry:
Sometimes when I am alone with the bulwark, it feels as though someone is standing watch nearby. I am overcome with the sense that I am somehow being protected.
One might think such an experience would be unnerving, but in truth I find it a source of comfort.
Item Note:
<The shield appears to be incorporeal, yet it feels solid to the touch. Narrow cracks mar its surface, suggesting that it has seen heavy use. Though they have not been mended, the cracks appear to be sealed by some form of magic.
Roh-Suir mentioned that the bulwark derives its resilience from the spirit of its wielder. It is possible that the intentions of those who once held the shield live on within it.
You struggle to comprehend how such an item was crafted.>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
It took great effort to restore this carving. I removed untold ages of soil until the image underneath was at last revealed. Roh-Senara praised my dedication to the task.
For the first time, I felt truly accomplished. Perhaps Korthia is where I am meant to be after all.
Item Note:
<Well-worn with faint etchings that were once deep and sharp, this carving depicts an unfamiliar event at some sort of ornate temple. The architecture seems pandaren in nature, but you know that no such temple exists.
Is this a depiction of a building that has long crumbled away... or one that has yet to be constructed?>
Archivists' Codex Entry:
While considering the blade, I asked Roh-Senara about the nature of violence. What role does it play within the Purpose? She told me this was a mystery I would have to unravel on my own.
Rather than think upon that question, I now wonder why she answered in this way.
Item Note:
<Though unassuming at first glance, at times the blade catches the light in such a way that you are temporarily blinded by its brilliance.
The shadows themselves seem to slink back from the sword, as if they fear its power. You note that the one of them appears to have somehow cut itself on the blade's edge.
If nothing else, this weapon is likely excellent at attacking the darkness.>

, Keeper of the Waystone, tells you that there is a matter of some urgency that they could use help with. The Fatescribe of
,
, has gone missing. Many Attendants are hiding in the caves near the ruins of the Seeker's Quorum - he suggests you start your search there. (
)
Pathscribe Roh-Vess says: The Purpose guide you to the Fatescribe and lead you both to safety.
You may ask what a Fatescribe is, and
will reply,
A Fatescribe is one of the most important attendants to serve the Arbiter. They are honored in their duty to the Purpose.
Within one of the caves, you discover
standing over a
.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: A dropped page remains, but he does not. Where have you gone, Fatescriber?
She asks to join you, as she's looking for the Fatescribe as well, but the Seeker's Quorum has become too dangerous to search alone. The only place she hasn't looked in is the meditation chamber. (
) And since you're going to be in the area, you should save the survivors that the Mawsworn are interrogating - after all, they might know something. (
)
Caretaker Kah-Than says: I will meet you in the ruins. Thank you for assisting my search.
Before following
, you may choose to examine the
that she has left behind,
<A torn page that has been left behind. Covered in hastily scribbled notes, it has been folded and refolded many times. Most of it is in a language you cannot read, except for one part.>
Who can be trusted?
You head to the Seeker's Quorum, which is still overrun by Mawsworn.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: I would assist you, but combat is not my expertise.
While searching the ruins, you come across Korthian Artifacts on the Mawsworn - a
, a
, an
, and a
. You're not sure why the Mawsworn would be collecting these relics, but decide to bring any you find back to the Attendants in Keeper's Retreat. (
) As you gather them,
keeps up a running commentary.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Hmph. That is clearly useless.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Little more than trash.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: That artifact is... actually, it does have some value. But it's not of use to us.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Ah, this is it! Precisely what we need.
As you rescue
s, they speak brokenly of the torment they've suffered and the fact that the Mawsworn were after the Fatescribe, but none can tell you where he is, much to
's disappointment.
Tortured Attendant says: I told them... I knew nothing...
Tortured Attendant says: Such... horror...
Tortured Attendant says: They... seek the Fatescribe... couldn't tell them anything.
Tortured Attendant says: I must... find safety...
You reach the meditation chamber, but do not find the Fatescribe within.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: This was once a place of meditation and serenity. We would gather here and commune with one another.
You look around for clues, investigating the Fatescribe’s journal and some burned incense, but your search is interrupted when the Mawsworn
attacks.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Mad ramblings and delusions of paranoia... He thinks there are secret saboteurs! That would be exciting.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Oh! Right here, he mentions going to pray for guidance.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Incense. This is from the Sanctuary of Guidance. I bet he's headed there.
Kizesh says: You should have fled when you had the chance.
Kizesh says: Foolish... mortal...
The mad ramblings and incense are weak clues, but they're enough to convince
that the Fatescribe was mostly likely last headed to the Sanctuary of Guidance. Your tendency to pick up every piece of trash you find on the ground comes in useful, as
can use the
to track him. (
)
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Let us rendezvous near the Sanctuary of Guidance. Make haste!
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Good news! I found more monstrosities for you to vanquish!
The Sanctuary of Guidance is a place where atendants would leave offerings of anima at the shrines. With the
, you can trace the Fatescribe's anima - and path. (
) You also come across a wounded Protector
, and decide to finish his task by killing devourers. (
)
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Mawsworn. Devourers. This place has seen its share of defilement.
As you investigate each shrine, you call forth a vision of Fatescribe
. The Fatescribe seems frantic in these visions, clearly running from someone, before finally deciding to use an illusion to hide.
's commentary as you witness these visions is odd, more frustrated than sympathetic.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: He has found us! Korthia is in grave peril!
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: Arbiter forgive me... but I have need of this anima.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Why does he need the anima? Such a tedious plan!
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: Eternal Ones, grant me your guidance and wisdom.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: An illusion... yes, that might work. Hide in plain sight. Employ their own tactics against them.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: An illusion? How quaint.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: I need a scroll from the vault, and the anima to fuel its magic...
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: May the Purpose shield me. And may they never find me.
Caretaker Kah-Than says: This way! Hurry!
Caretaker Kah-Than says: The Fatescribe! We have him!
believes she finally has enough to pinpoint the location of
. He is in a nearby chamber, but you'll need to dispel the illusion hiding him.
is certain
will be more than happy to see a friendly face. (
)
You dispell the magic, and
is revealed, but he seems terrified of
. Before you know it, her disguise has fallen away and she's transformed into her true form: the Dreadlord
. She has been sent by
to drag
into Torghast. As she is about to leave with the Fatescribe,
thanks you for your help, before instructing the Dreadlord
to kill you.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: No! They have found me!
Caretaker Kah-Than says: Indeed we have.
Kin'tessa says: Thank you for all your valuable assistance, mortal.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo says: How many? How many spies has the Banished One seeded among us?
Kin'tessa says: You can ask him yourself once we arrive in Torghast. He is quite eager to meet you.
Kin'tessa says: Kill the Maw Walker.
Kin'tessa says: Oh, and make it quick. As a sign of gratitude.
We will meet
again, as the horribly transformed, third final boss in the
raid.
There's not much else to do but bring the
to
, along with the bad news that the Nathrezim walk among you - and appear to be serving
. (
) The situation is dire indeed. As they are masters of disguise and of playing the long game, it means anyone could be a Dreadlord. You have to warn the others of this latest threat.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: The nathrezim... serving the Jailer? But they were part of the Burning Legion. At least, that's what we were led to believe.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: The dreadlords are masters of infiltration and illusion. Our covenant forces must remain vigilant.
Tal-Galan says: Our Fatescribe... taken. I pray the Purpose gives him comfort in that dark place.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: Stay alert, Maw Walker. They could be... anywhere.
