Notable Trash Mobs
LOS Blast Wave behind spikesA massive

guards the entrance to the Blast Furnace. He has three abilities players must contend with:

Blast Furnace Tips & Strategy
Destroying the Heat Regulators is the first, and hardest, stepBlast Furnace is a complex, multi-phase fight that emphasizes target prioritization and has heavy movement requirements. The encounter is broken into three parts, each with a simple objective:
Phase 1: Destroy the

s on either side of the Blast Furnace
Phase 2: Defeat the four

s who have captured the Heart of the Mountain
Phase 3: Defeat the Heart of the Mountain
When players approach the Blast Furnace, there will be several enemies active - Foreman Feldspar, two
保安
s, and two

s. These are not trash mobs; they are part of the first phase of the encounter and will respawn every time the raid wipes.
The raid will need to split into two roughly equal halves to handle the first phase of the encounter, so
before initiating the fight, players should assign 1 tank, half the DPS, and half the healers to each side of the room
.
Each tank will take one Security Guard and one Furnace Engineer with them to their half of the room, and one of the tanks will need to pick up Foreman Feldspar.
If there are an uneven number of healers, have the extra healer follow Foreman Feldspar and heal the tank who is tanking him. While the raid is getting into position, and before any higher-priority targets spawn, players can spend some time damaging Foreman Feldspar.
Throughout all three phases, the Heart of the Mountain will cast
冲击
upon reaching 100 Energy.
This deals unavoidable raid-wide damage and healers must be prepared to heal through it while still managing the healing tasks created by the other mechanics of each phase.
The rate at which the Heart of the Mountain gains Energy is influenced by his Heat level, which appears as an Alternate Power bar on the Heart of the Mountain's unit frame; the amount of Heat the Heart of the Mountain gains is determined by how well the players handle the mechanics of the first phase.
Monitor Energy and Heat to predict BlastHeat increases Blast frequency as follows:
0-24 Heat:

Phase 1: Sabotage
Loot BombsThis is the most difficult and complex phase of the encounter. The primary objective is to destroy the Heat Regulators on either side of the Blast Furnace.
Players disable the Heat Regulators by dropping

s near them. There are two ways for players to obtain

Furnace Engineers will target random non-tank players and cast

on them.
Upon dying, Furnace Engineers

as soon as the Engineer dies

.) To ensure the Heat Regulator is struck by the

, the targeted player should be within the Regulator's red target circle, as shown in the screenshot to the right. Each

will deal 100,000 damage to the Heat Regulator, and the Heat Regulator is destroyed when players have reduced its health to 0.
Note that Furnace Engineers are valid targets for

. This allows the controlling Priest to choose which raid members the

will be cast on, and to potentially cast it more frequently than un-controlled Furnace Engineers will cast it. While this technique can speed up Phase 1, it is not required.
Furnace Engineers will attempt to channel

on injured Regulators, restoring their health and prolonging the phase. Players must kill Engineers quickly or interrupt
修复
to avoid allowing the Regulators to heal.
There are two other types of adds and one mini-boss that players must deal with while disabling the Heat Regulators:
Feldspar's Rupture zone
Security Guard - Frequently drops a shield on the ground, creating a zone of
防御
in which enemy creatures take 99% less damage
Bellows Operator - Increases the Heart of the Mountain's Heat levels; once Regulators die, Operators must be tanked, and will use
震耳咆哮
As long as Regulators are alive, Bellows Operators are not affected by the Security Guards'

Foreman Feldspar (mini-boss) - Creates

zones under random players' feet; targets random players with

; deals moderate damage to nearby players with

The general kill order for the adds in this phase is:
Foreman Feldspar > Bellows Operator > Furnace Engineer > Security Guard
. Players should aim to defeat Bellows Operators at roughly the same time as destroying the Heat Regulators, to minimize the number of adds that are carried over into Phase 2.

Tank Responsibilities
Move enemies out of Defense zones
Pick up one Security Guard and one Furnace Engineer at the start of the fight and drag them to your assigned location
One tank should take Foreman Feldspar as well, and tank him until

becomes too invasive, tanks can meet in the middle of the room to pass Feldspar off
Move enemies out of

Phase 2: The Heart Exposed
The objective of phase 2 is to kill the four Primal Elementalists who hold the Heart of the Mountain captive:
A Primal Elementalist with Damage Shield active
The Primal Elementalists have a

which makes them immune to damage
Players can remove this shield by killing a
熔渣元素
within 8 yards of a Primal Elementalist
One Slag Elemental spawns approximately every 45 seconds
Slag Elementals

random players; the targeted player must kite the Slag Elemental to the Primal Elementalist
Slag Elementals cast

when they die, dealing damage to nearby players, so ranged DPS should be assigned to kill them at the appropriate time
The Primal Elementalist will gain

, becoming vulnerable to damage for a brief window of time
Once the Primal Elementalist is affected by

, all DPS should switch to it and burn through as much of its health as possible.
Primal Elementalists have only one ability, which they will only cast during

Security Guards will spawn throughout the phase, and will continue to use

. This ability deals damage to a Slag Elemental and makes it more vulnerable to damage. This is not necessary to complete the encounter on Normal or Heroic mode, but it can speed up the phase, especially since the mind-controlled Guards themselves deal strong damage to the Slag Elementals via

Note that Primal Elementalists are immune to the damage-reduction portion of

, but Slag Elementals are not; it is still important to keep Security Guards away from the Slag Elementals to ensure players do not have trouble killing them.
Firecallers will also spawn periodically, and will afflict random players with

, which will explode and damage nearby players when the debuff runs out. Affected players should move out of the raid. Additionally, the Firecallers will cast

on other injured enemies - typically the Primal Elementalists. This cast should be interrupted, or the buff it places on the enemy should be dispelled.
The Heart of the Mountain continues to

the raid throughout this phase, with increasing frequency as he slowly gains Heat from the Slag Pool beneath him. The rate of Heat gain is somewhat offset by

At the start of Phase 2, players should work on cleaning up any remaining adds from Phase 1 before the Primal Elementalists spawn. Since the Heat Regulators are disabled, players with

should simply explode at the edge of the room in a safe position.
Tank Responsibilities
Tank Security Guards and Firecallers a bit away from the current Primal Elementalist target, so the Elementalist is not affected by

Primal Elementalists and Slag Elementals cannot be tanked
Interrupt Firecallers'

Phase 3: Freedom!
During this phase, players should quickly finish off any remaining Security Guards and Firecallers from phase 2, and then focus on defeating the Heart of the Mountain.
The Heart of the Mountain will choose random players and

the floor beneath them. This deals heavy damage to players in the area, so players must move out of any nearby
熔化
patches quickly. As the room begins to fill up with
熔化
patches, the raid may need to migrate to a clear area of the room to continue to DPS. These areas also grow in size over time, so it is important to move the boss intelligently.
The Heart of the Mountain maintains the Heat levels gained from Phase 2, which will likely be 100 Heat, and there will be very frequent
冲击
damage. This phase is a race against healer mana and room space. Using
嗜血
/
英勇
/

during this phase will help the healers keep the raid alive long enough to defeat the encounter.
Tank Responsibilities
Move the Heart of the Mountain away from any patches of
熔化
that spawn nearby
Drag the Heart of the Mountain to clearer areas of the room as

begins to fill up the available space
The off-tank should taunt when the current tank reaches 3 stacks of

, or when the off-tank's
高热
stacks fall off
Damage-Dealer Responsibilities
Ranged DPS should spread out to limit movement for

Use personal damage-reduction CDs when

Use DPS CDs to defeat the Heart of the Mountain quickly before healers are overrun

Looking For Raid Difficulty
On Looking For Raid difficulty, each phase has been made mechanically more simple.
In Phase 1, only 5

s are necessary to destroy each Heat Regulator. Bellows Operators also give the Heart of the Mountain less Heat while they are alive.
In Phase 2, Primal Elementalists are not protected by
减伤护盾
, and can simply be killed. Slag Elementals do not spawn.
In Phase 3,

s occur less frequently - approximately once every 20-30 seconds. Additionally, the Heart of the Mountain's
熔化
pools do not grow in size the way they do in higher difficulties.
Since Phase 3 is not a race against healer mana in LFR difficulty, players should use

at the start of the fight to keep ahead of adds and kill Foreman Feldspar quickly.

Mythic Difficulty
The Mythic version of this fight primarily increases the difficulty of the Phase 2 mechanics.
Mythic Slag Elementals are buffed with

, reducing their damage taken by 99%.
The only way this can be countered is by having Priests in the raid cast

on the Security Guards; they can then use the Security Guard's

ability to remove the

buff from the Slag Elementals. This allows players to quickly kill the Slag Elementals and break through the Primal Elementalists'

Additionally, the Heart of the Mountain no longer gains
, so will continue to gain energy from the Slag Pool beneath him.

s will come more frequently during this phase than on lower difficulty levels, and players must defeat Primal Elementalists quickly to save healer mana, which will be needed for the final phase of the encounter.
The raid should be sure to chain

phases together on each Primal Elementalist to speed this phase up, and may wish to use

here, although it may only help with one Primal Elementalist.
Note that the removal of
means that any Heat gained by the Heart of the Mountain during Phase 1 will carry over, and be built upon, during Phase 2.
If players allow the Heat to accumulate too quickly in Phase 1, healers will be unable to keep up during Phase 2.
The raid must defeat Bellows Operators swiftly in Phase 1, and destroy Regulators as quickly as possible, to control Phase 2 Blast damage.
In Phase 1, the arming time on
炸弹
is reduced to 8 seconds.
Players must react very quickly to use an entire Cluster of Lit Bombs.
Additionally, the Bellows Operators will abandon their bellows duties and require tanking upon reaching 50% health, whether the Heat Regulators are disabled or not.

Now excuse me but why has Blizzard decided to make encounters that force you to take in certain Classes for Mythic progression?

Having two priests for especially P1 is god-mode. Using
Dominate Mind
will help you spread the bombs in your raid faster and allow to advance into P2 quicker.

Notes regearding LFR difficulty are moslty wrong. Heat Regulators on LFR have 499k hp (unless I noticed it wrong and it's 399k) so take 5 bombs, and clusters still drop.
During phase 2 I don't think I've seen even single Slag Elemental, so probably not only shields but also elementals are removed.
During phase 3 Heart does go Superheated, and according to tooltip blasts occur every 6 seconds. Note that at LFR this does not cause so significant raid damage.
As a side note, on LFR Security Guards can be CCed to break their Defense, unless it's not possible to CC them on higher difficulties, that is better way of handling them than moving out.

For all you priests out there making full use of their
精神控制
, there are a few catches to this.
First off, any mob you used
精神控制
on, will receive the
激怒
buff afterwards. This is permanent and not removable. In other words, you can only mind control a mob once and it should be nuked to death shortly after to avoid unnecessary damage.
Since the first phase is more about control instead of a mad dash to get the Heat Regulator's down, mind controlling the
熔炉工程师
's is generally a waste of effort. However, it does help to end a phase, so with some training and communication you can "force" the phase transition by using
精神控制
on the
熔炉工程师
's and manually casting
炸弹
on designated targets. This'll ensure a phase transition when you want it - in a perfect scenario when you've cleared most of the mobs and before new reinforcements arrive.
When the second phase arrives
精神控制
is a good spell to use on the
保安
. There are two abilities not listed on WoWhead, as well as the permanent passive of
元素杀手
. The two abilities are a stomp-taunt and a direct damage ability that both only work on
熔渣元素
. The perfect strategy is to mind control a security guard when an elemental is at low health.
(Mythic difficulty will do this at full health as to remove the buff)
. Make sure the
熔渣元素
is near a
元素尊者
and then cast the stomp-taunt. Follow up with the
元素杀戮
. The guard itself will be hitting for a substitutional amount. Melee should move out of range and let ranged DPS finish the
熔渣元素
and let the security guard eat up the
炉渣炸弹
. If this does not finish off the guard he should be nuked down thereafter.

's are the final mob that are susceptible to
精神控制
. Their noteworthy ability of
烧灼伤口
is useless when used on players. However, it can still cast
熔岩爆裂
which has a mana cost. It's possible to drain his mana this way, but it only stops future
熔岩爆裂
casts for a short while. The primary use of using
精神控制
on the
召火者
is stalling all other instant spellcasts of the
召火者
which are not available to the player.

I only did this on normal and this was earlier on, it may not work this way any more but it's worth looking into. That defense ability security guards do doesn't seem to work for stationary targets like the bellows/ elementalists (they seem to take full damage while it's up and in it as far as I can tell). Feel free to test and see if you come to the same conclusion.

If you are an MC Priest, move MCed adds near the tank before you drop MC because this makes it easier for tanks to gain threat while adds gain

once out of MC, immune to taunt and crwod control.

This really sucks that you have to have a Priest will you on Mythic difficulty for Phase 2: The Heart Exposed. Hope it gets changed sometime in the future so it is easier for people who don't have a Priest.

This seems to have been nerfed heavily with patch 7.3.5 on mythic difficulty.
Last week at ilvl 969 it was difficult to solo as a Rogue due to the CD of Bribe (MC). The 5 minute window was rough. I was all prepared for the same thing this week and it was a joke. You don't even need the elementals to DPS the Primal Elementalists even though doing so will be quicker and the elementals don't need their buff removed to damage them adequately.
I don't know if this was intended but it was a joy to solo.
Quick note: make sure you create an LFG group and set the loot to "Group Loot" or "Free for All" otherwise it will automatically be on personal loot even for mythic. This screwed me out of some transmog on the first boss before realizing the 7.3.5 personal loot changes effected even Mythic content for WOD.

Since 7.3.5 landed this has been soloable without a priest. The hp scaling has allowed enough damage to be done to negate the damage debuff from the elementalists in phase 2. It will probably still be safe to take a friend for the extra dps but it no longer has to be a priest
