Walkthrough
Summary
Through the Shattered Sky
Sylvanas Windrunner has torn a rift through reality itself, opening a portal to the Shadowlands, and has taken Jaina Proudmoore, Baine Bloodhoof, Thrall, and Anduin Wrynn into the Maw, a terrible realm full of torture where only the most irredeemable souls are meant to go. You are summoned by Highlord Bolvar Fordragon to help Darion Mograine and the Ebon Blade as they venture into the Maw to try save them. You find Jaina and a wounded Thrall first, rescue Anduin from the chains Sylvanas bound him in, and finally, rescue Baine after seeing the Jailer himself. You discover a way out of the Maw - a waystone, supposedly dormant, but which seems to activate when you approach it. However, when you touch it, only you journey through, leaving your friends trapped in the Maw.
Arrival in the Shadowlands
You find yourself in Oribos, the Eternal City, where you find your arrival seems to have caused a stir. It's unheard of for a living mortal to appear here, nevermind a mortal who seems to have escaped the Maw. You learn that, in the Shadowlands, all souls are usually judged by the Arbiter before being sent to their eternal afterlife. However, something has happened. The Arbiter has gone dormant, all souls are being sent to the Maw, and there's an anima drought affecting all of the Shadowlands. Your arrival made the Arbiter stir and it is hoped that your presence will help return things to normal. You get to know the city of Oribos and establish portals back to Azeroth, and you explain what brought you here in the first place. When you describe the winged creatures who kidnapped the faction leaders, you're told about the Kyrian of Bastion - who are also winged and can ferry mortal souls to the afterlife, and you decide to head to Bastion to find out if you can learn more.

,
Baine Bloodhoof
,
萨尔

安度因·乌瑞恩
. In the last few weeks, Both the Alliance and the Horde have been dealing with a Scourge invasion on Azeroth, building your reputation with the Argent Crusade, and preparing yourself for the journey you've known you will have to make. Read more about this in:

Highlord Darion Mograine
The time has come, <class>.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon requests your presence atop Icecrown Citadel. Meet me in <Stormwind/Orgrimmar>, and I will take you to him.
I would not keep him waiting.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Champion, the veil between our world and the Shadowlands has been sundered.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: The Ebon Blade stands ready. I await you in Stormwind/Orgrimmar. Come, before the icy grasp of Death claims Azeroth.
Note:
While most player characters are called "Champion" by Bolvar Fordragon, he calls
死亡骑士
players "Deathlord". While this has no impact on the story, it's great to see Death Knights get something special here!
You find Darion Mograine standing with
大检察官怀特迈恩
if you're Alliance, and
纳兹戈林
if you're Horde. If you did not complete the Pre-Patch Questline, Death's Rising, Whitemane or Nazgrim will fill you in.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Champion! Preparations have been made.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Whitemane/Nazgrim will tell you of the grim fate that has befallen our allies.
In other words, you are given another opportunity to watch the cinematic that shows
希尔瓦娜斯·风行者
sending winged creatures to kidnap various leaders of Azeroth.
Bolvar Fordragon: I knew she would come... one day... to seize this power for herself. Instead, she has done the unthinkable. Now, she will come for them all... to finish... what she started... And break all who opposed her. Those who held Azeroth together... Will be in her sights.
Genn Greymane: No! Sylvanas!
Bolvar Fordragon: And when she comes... Our end... Begins...
Lore Spotlight: Peacebringers
The leaders that the Jailer and Sylvanas chose to kidnap have a few important things in common. Apart from all being powerful leaders, they're also all known for their tendency towards peace - literally holding Azeroth together in times when war threatened to tear it apart. Thrall and Jaina did the unthinkable when they united Humans and Orcs during the events of Warcraft III, and though it's been strained and tested, a strong friendship between them remains to this day, despite its need to bridge factions and racial divides. Similarly, Anduin and Baine have always remained friends and watched out for each other, even during in times of outright war between the Alliance and Horde.
It is important that you rescue these heroes of Azeroth. Darion opens a death gate to Acherus, which has been moved to
冰冠堡垒
.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Acherus, the stronghold of the Ebon Blade, has moved to Icecrown Citadel. My death gate will take us there.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Highlord Bolvar Fordragon has recovered from his battle with Sylvanas Windrunner. He awaits us, along with our allies.
You enter the death gate and find yourself right at the top of
冰冠堡垒
, the broken sky, evidence of Sylvanas's actions, looming above you.
Highlord Darion Mograine: Before her minions abducted key leaders, the Banshee Queen attacked Icecrown. She cut a path to the Frozen Throne and seized the Helm of Domination.
Highlord Darion Mograine: Look to the sky and you will see the results of her actions. I... have never beheld anything like this.
Highlord Darion Mograine: But shattering the helm also freed Bolvar Fordragon from the burden of being the Lich King.
Highlord Darion Mograine: Bolvar believes he knows where the Banshee has taken those she abducted.
Highlord Darion Mograine: He awaits you at the Frozen Throne. The leaders of the Alliance and Horde have gathered with him.
As you approach the Frozen Throne, you see all the remaining leaders of the Alliance and Horde, along with some other important figures, standing around the fragments of the Helm of Domination. They are deep in conversation.
Lor'themar Theron says: … the peace remains tenuous. These are troubled times. Our people need stability--Alliance and Horde alike.
Lor'themar Theron says: We cannot risk sending Azeroth's leaders on what might well be a suicide mission. Our friends who were abducted would offer the same counsel.
Tyrande Whisperwind says: Coward! I would pay any price to see the Banshee impaled upon my glaive!
Genn Greymane says: I too want Sylvanas to answer for her crimes. But Lor'themar is right. Anduin wouldn't want us to risk the well-being of the Alliance for his sake.
Calia Menethil says: The kaldorei need you if they are to have any hope of finding peace, High Priestess.
Tyrande Whisperwind says: You dare speak to me of peace? After the atrocities your kind inflicted?!
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: Enough! The war is over. We can ill afford to start another.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: A far more pressing threat is at hand, and we must prepare to face it.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon
It is good that you have arrived.
We need heroes like you in this dire hour.
大领主伯瓦尔·弗塔根
explains the plan to you. Sylvanas is in the Shadowlands, in a realm called
噬渊
. Bolvar is able to open a rift so that you can follow her, and perhaps rescue your leaders. However, he will not be able to bring you back. (
穿过破碎天空
)
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon
When Sylvanas shattered the Helm of Domination, she was touched by the power it released.
I can sense the echoes of that power, and I know where she has gone.
If you wish to rescue your leaders, the shattered helm can open a path. It cannot bring you back, however. That you must do on your own.
The risk is great, <name>, but there is no other way. We will begin the ritual at once.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: When the Banshee shattered the helm, it tore a gaping wound through the veil between our world and the Shadowlands.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon: During my vigil upon the Frozen Throne, I caught fleeting glimpses into the realms of Death. Among them, I saw a place of inescapable darkness.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon: That is where you must go, if you are to save those Sylvanas has taken. Together, we can open the way.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon: Place the Shards of Domination around the circle of runes. Then the ritual can begin.
As you pick up each piece and place them around the ritual circle, Bolvar explains further.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: When the helm rested upon my head, it took all my will to keep its insidious power in check. Many times, I nearly faltered.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: I could sense a dark presence at the edge of my consciousness. Not Arthas... not Ner'zhul. Something... else.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: It is that very presence I sense lurking beyond the shattered sky above.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: I dare not travel with you. Even free of the helm, I fear I would become bound to the will of its true master.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: But this threat cannot be left unchecked. Therefore, you must venture where I cannot.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: The dangers you face will be considerable. Alone, you may well be outmatched.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: To aid in this task, the Knights of the Ebon Blade shall lend you their strength. Darion Mograine has volunteered to fight at your side.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: The Ebon Blade does not fear death. Here, or in realms beyond.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: Living mortals were never intended to cross beyond the veil. Where you are going, you may be unable to return.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: But there is no other course. Death comes to claim Azeroth. It falls to you to defend her.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: The time has come. Take up the shattered helm and we will open the rift.
You take up the helm, and the rift opens. Before you go through,
泰兰德·语风
jumps into the rift ahead of you.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: The path opens!
Lor'themar Theron says: Your courage will be remembered, champion. Al diel shala.
Genn Greymane says: Find those who were taken and bring them home!
Tyrande Whisperwind says: Rescue the others! The Banshee is mine to kill!
Genn Greymane says: Tyrande! Don't do this!
Tyrande Whisperwind says: Tor ilisar'thera'nal!
Genn Greymane says: We cannot lose you... to the darkness.
You jump into the rift yourself, landing in
噬渊
, along with Darion Mograine.
Highlord Darion Mograine
Not the most ideal of arrivals, but at least we are still in one piece.
I have not seen any sign of Tyrande. Either she landed elsewhere or continued on without us. We should keep an eye out.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: You made it through the rift. Good. I doubt this mission could succeed without you.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: No sign yet of the High Priestess. Perhaps she charged ahead into the chaos.
Darion tells you the Ebon Blade have been scattered due to the chaotic energies of
噬渊
. You need to find them quickly. (
断裂的利刃
)
Highlord Darion Mograine
The chaotic energies of this place have scattered the Ebon Blade.
I don't think Azeroth's blessings will reach you here, <class>. We will need allies if we are to survive this place.
We should find them quickly, before they are overcome.
And while you're about it, you should thin the numbers of the enemy Mawsworn. (
渊誓者威胁
)
Highlord Darion Mograine
Our knights are strong, but they don't stand much chance scattered against such an opponent.
We need to thin the ranks of our foe. The Ebon Blade won't do us any good if they're all cut down.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Fight your way out of here. We will meet you ahead.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Regroup with your fellow knights. We will not be far behind.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: We are establishing a forward position. Go, make sure we hold it.
While rescuing knights you come across
威洛娜·索恩
, who is dying. (
毁灭者的末日
)
Wilona Thorne
One of the... larger fiends... has several of our knights engaged...
Hurry to their aid... lest we lose more of our dwindling forces.
Go... it is too late for me...
Once
毁灭者马洛斯
defeated, you gather what Ebon Knights you can and rendezvous with Darion.
Highlord Darion Mograine
We've been in this place mere moments and already our forces are depleted. It will have to do.
Take this horn, it can be used to call upon the remaining Ebon Blade forces to rally against your foes.
Our enemy is relentless, but we will continue to drive them back.
Stand vigilant, <class>.
I am loath to leave some of our knights behind, but it is obvious we cannot stand against such foes.
We must make sure their sacrifices are not in vain.
Darion suggests you push forward, scouting the area for the lost faction leaders. (
不敢涉足
)
Highlord Darion Mograine
It appears we've escaped our enemies' notice for the moment. We should take the opportunity to scout the nearby area for signs of our allies.
We will draw less attention alone. The Ebon Blade will hold back, awaiting my signal.
Come, let us see what awaits us in this hellscape.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: We rally up ahead. Go!
Highlord Darion Mograine says: We have done all we can here.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Let's get moving--before reinforcements arrive.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: We are vastly outnumbered. Let's try not to draw unwanted attention.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Keep an eye out for clues that point to the whereabouts of our allies.
You very quickly find evidence of
吉安娜·普罗德摩尔
: Mawsworn impaled on spikes of ice.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Frost magic. Looks like the work of our friend the Lord Admiral.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: The conflict seems to move in this direction. We should follow the trail before it grows... cold.
You follow Jaina's trail, soon coming across a
飨宴的噬魂者
- that's been turned into a sheep.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: More of Lady Proudmoore's handiwork.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: It would be unwise to break the enchantment. Let's move along.
Next, you come across a fallen
冥河巨人
, enveloped in flames.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: The Lord Admiral is truly formidable, to have bested one of these monstrosities.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Hold! What's that up ahead?
Finally, you catch up with Jaina herself, kneeling over a wounded
萨尔
.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Up ahead! It's Lady Proudmoore!
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Looks like we've secured the Lord Admiral. I'll signal the Ebon Blade to advance.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Thank the Light you found us!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
Praise the Light! I... I'd almost given up hope.
<Jaina looks upon the Ebon Blade knights.>
Is this... all that remains of your forces?
Jaina is relieved to see you, but before you can do anything else, winged creatures similar to those who kidnapped Azeroth's leaders attack. (
黑化的双翼
)
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
It's a relief to see friendly faces again. But we have little time for pleasantries.
Thrall is wounded, and we are being hunted by the denizens of this realm. We must seek shelter at once.
Come, I believe I know of a place.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: We can't stay here. Can you walk, Thrall?
Thrall says: I... will manage.
Thrall says: Thank you for coming to my aid, Jaina.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Something's flying at us from above!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: They've found us! Be ready!
Tariesh says: Struggle all you like, mortals. You cannot escape your fate!
You fight the 'Mawsworn' as best you can, but as it becomes evident that you're outnumbered, Jaina teleports you to safety.
Tariesh says: Your chains will be eternal!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: We're overrun! I'm getting us out of here!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I left some mirror images behind to keep them distracted.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The illusion won't hold for long. Hurry!
However, her distraction will not work for long.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
Those images will keep our foes distracted for a time, but they will not give up their pursuit so easily.
We must make haste!
You need to hurry if you're going to get everyone to safety. (
逃离黑暗
)
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
There's a cave not far from here. If we hurry, we can seek refuge.
Those fiends will give chase if they spot us. Be prepared for a fight!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: There's a cave just around the bend. With any luck, we can reach it before they notice.
Thrall says: Let us hope so. Our captors will not be pleased you've managed to slip past them again.
As you make your way to safety, you're attacked from above by winged Mawsworn.
Tariesh says: You will not evade our grasp, mortals!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Well, there goes our luck!
Highlord Darion Mograine yells: Knights, secure the cave! We'll hold off these fiends.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: So much for remaining unnoticed. Let's hurry.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: What did Thrall mean by "slip past them again"? You've escaped before?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Indeed. I've broken free countless times, only to end up back in a cage.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I've hidden inside this cave before. We can't stay long, but it should buy us a little time.
Thrall yells: Another ambush! Bring them down!
You fight off the Mawsworn attacks and continue your journey, as Darion questions Jaina about Tyrande. Finally, you reach the cave, but it's too late - the leader of the Mawsworn,
塔里艾什
, has caught up with you.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Lord Admiral, before we found you, did you see any sign of the Night Warrior?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Tyrande? Here? No, I have not.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: She leapt into the rift just ahead of us. She vowed to find Sylvanas Windrunner... at any cost.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: That is troubling. An ancient ritual infused her with incredible power. I fear it may be growing beyond her ability to contain it.
Tariesh says: Your cell awaits, mage! The Jailer has plans for you!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I've had enough of your cages, fiend!
Tariesh says: There is nowhere to run! Nothing escapes the Maw!
Tariesh says: These allies of yours are insignificant. You will all end up in chains!
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Not if we end you first!
Together, you face and defeat Tariesh. Afterwards, Jaina leads you into the cave, where you are able to grab a moment of respite.
Tariesh says: It is useless... to resist...
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: In here!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: We should be safe enough here for the moment.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: When you first arrived, I wasn't sure if you were even real... or if you were just another illusion meant to torment us.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I was beginning to lose hope that I'd see anyone from our world again.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
Rest here while you can, <name>.
I will tell you what I know.
While you're resting, you question Jaina about what she knows about
噬渊
. (
片刻喘息
)
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
Anduin insisted that our allies would come for us. I confess I had begun to doubt him.
I'm sure you have many questions. I'll do what I can to provide answers, but I'm afraid even after...
What has it been... weeks? Longer? Time loses all meaning in a place of such darkness.
Forgive me. Let me tell you what little I can.
She explains that it's meant to be a prison for the most irredeemable of souls, but lately, something seems to have gone wrong.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Very well... where to begin?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Denizens call this realm "the Maw." From what I have gathered, it was intended as a prison for the most foul, irredeemable souls that ever existed.
Thrall says: Something has changed. Pure, noble souls are being held captive here as well. They cry out in torment.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Indeed. And one of their tormentors--and ours--is Sylvanas Windrunner.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: It seems she has made a powerful ally. The shades whisper of someone called... the Jailer.
Asking Jaina more about
典狱长
will cause her to tell you that he seems to have a special interest in the captured faction leaders, and she believes he's planning something major with Sylvanas Windrunner.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The Jailer rules this realm. We know little about him, but it's clear he has taken a special interest in us.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: He has personally overseen our... treatment here.
Thrall says: We have endured countless torments. At times, it felt as if we were being tested. Though for what purpose, I cannot say.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Whatever this Jailer and the Banshee are planning, it won't end well... for any of us.
When you question Jaina about the others, she will say that she knows
安度因·乌瑞恩
and
Baine Bloodhoof
are still alive, but little more than that, and she has no idea at all how one might be able to escape
噬渊
. She believes perhaps the older souls might be able to help, but after being tortured for millennia, they're not exactly friendly.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I caught glimpses of Baine and Anduin during my attempts to break free. They live... that's all I know for certain.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: But I have found no means of leaving the Maw. I can only manage to teleport short distances. This nightmare feels... inescapable.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Countless souls are now pouring into this realm. But some have been here for untold ages. Perhaps one of them knows a way out.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I can scarcely imagine the horrors such spirits have endured. I fear there's nothing left of them to save.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: They manifest as malevolent shades that wander the darkness. I doubt they'd willingly help us.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Knights of the Ebon Blade have ways to compel the dead to speak. If we seize one of these shades, we can extract its secrets.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
I need time to recover after that battle. Thrall could use rest, too.
While we rest, perhaps you and Mograine can seek answers.
While Jaina and Thrall rest, you and Darion use the pieces from the
碎裂的统御头盔
to try extract information from nearby souls. (
灵媒
)
Highlord Darion Mograine
If these souls have information we need, we will take it from them.
Even after being shattered by the Banshee, the helm fragment given to you by Bolvar holds the power of Domination. With it, we should be able take control of the spirits long enough to find out what they know.
They will need to be sufficiently weakened before we can break them. I'm confident you're more than capable of that task.
It doesn't work.
Highlord Darion Mograine
Useless! These souls are far too fragmented to provide us with anything.
Wait... what is that?
But then Darion sees a
痛苦的融合怪
- a malevolent collection of ancient, hostile souls. (
与亡者对话
)
Highlord Darion Mograine
Look over to the ridge. There lies our quarry!
No telling how many souls are writhing together within that amalgam. With any luck, one of them might be coherent enough to give us answers.
You weaken the amalgamation until you can use the pieces of the helm against it.
Highlord Darion Mograine
Find enough mouths and one of them is bound to speak.
Let's bring this thing back to the cave and find out what it knows.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Now! Bend it to your will!
Tormented Amalgamation says: You cannot bind me! I... will...
Tormented Amalgamation says: ...obey...
Highlord Darion Mograine says: You're coming with us!
You return the creature to Jaina. (
手中的灵魂
)
Highlord Darion Mograine
My instincts were correct. Whatever dark magic binds these souls together also keeps them more or less coherent.
It will take time, but we will find out what this thing knows. My interrogation will require use of the helm, but rest assured I will return it to your care.
Let's bring our prize to the Lord Admiral.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
It seems your search was a success.
Enough rest. There's much to be done.
While Darion questions the tormented amalgamation, Jaina tells you about Anduin. (
狮笼
)
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
Anduin is being kept in a place the shades call the Tremaculum. It's not far, but the way is perilous.
I have tried more than once to free him from his captors, but the forces holding him are too great for me to handle alone.
I'm counting on your presence to tip the scales.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Once we find Anduin, my staff will serve as an anchor for me to teleport us back to safety.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: All set. Let's get moving.
Thrall says: This is the Tremaculum. Here souls are tormented, twisted into wretched shades.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Last I saw Anduin, they were taking him to the tower above. We need to find a way up there.
After searching the Tremaculum, you finally spot Anduin, in chains, with someone very familiar standing over him: Sylvanas Windrunner.
You hide until Sylvanas leaves before attempting to approach Anduin. As you wait, you witness them arguing.
Anduin Wrynn says: You won't... succeed...
Sylvanas Windrunner says: Such a narrow vision. You disappoint me.
Sylvanas Windrunner says: No matter. We will find what we seek.. in another.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Anduin! How badly are you hurt?
Anduin Wrynn says: I... will live. I'm relieved you're all safe.
Thrall says: These bonds are too strong to break by force. We must find a way to free him.
Despite his situation, Anduin is in good spirits.
Anduin Wrynn
I knew in my heart the Light wouldn't fail us.
Your presence here is the proof.
To loose his bonds you'll need the key from the creature overseeing his imprisonment -
折磨者斐埃尔
. (
折磨者的钥匙
)
Anduin Wrynn
Sylvanas thinks us broken. She believes she has already won.
We will show her how mistaken she is.
First, I will need your help. The bonds that hold me are impossibly strong. We will need the key to free me of them.
My... imprisonment here has been overseen by a creature they call the Afflictor. The key is likely in its possession.
Ever concerned about the plight of others, Anduin also asks that you help the other caged souls in the area, you can free them with
渊誓钥匙
s. (
冤孽的命运
)
Anduin Wrynn
I have seen many souls brought here during my detention. The Jailer seems to want to break them, to twist them into his service... or worse.
No soul deserves such a fate, <name>.
The Mawsworn here hold the keys to their chains. Free as many as you can and we'll get them away from here.
You collect The
折磨者的钥匙
and use it to free Anduin.
Anduin Wrynn
I had almost forgotten the feeling of freedom.
Now, let us take the fight to these fiends.
I knew I could trust you with this task.
Though we face insurmountable odds, we must try to do what is right.
He warns that you should leave immediately. (

I cannot express my gratitude enough for your help, champion.
We mustn't linger, however. The Jailer's forces will soon be alerted to the disturbance here.
Let us leave this place at once!
As planned, Jaina is able to open a portal back to the cave where Darion is waiting.
Anduin Wrynn says: Thank you, champion. I feared I would never be free of those shackles.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: We should move quickly. Are you fit to travel?
Anduin Wrynn says: I will be fine once this place is behind us. Lead on.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: My ability to teleport is limited here, but I should be able to open a portal back to my staff's location.
While Anduin heals Thrall's wounds, Darion calls you over to hear what he's discovered from the captured amalgamation.
Highlord Darion Mograine
The fiend is ready to talk. Let's get on with it.
It turns out there is a way out of
噬渊
- a waystone - but it's long been dormant. Still, it's all you have to go on.
Anduin Wrynn says: Those wounds look serious, Thrall. Let me tend them.
Thrall says: Thank you, Anduin. It will feel good to be back at full strength.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Your arrival is timely.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Our friend has something to share.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Speak! How do we leave this place?
Tormented Amalgamation says: Futile! The path... sealed... long ago...
Highlord Darion Mograine says: So there is a way out! Tell us where to find it!
Tormented Amalgamation says: Waystone... at the Cauldron... perhaps...
Tormented Amalgamation says: No! Dormant... broken!
Tormented Amalgamation says: Nothing... escapes.... the Maw...
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Could you make sense of what it said, Lord Admiral?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The Cauldron it spoke of lies beyond the River of Souls. I believe Baine is being held captive there.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Then it seems our course is clear.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: We cannot leave these innocent souls alone to their fate.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: Our remaining forces will remain on guard here. Signal us when you find this "waystone."
First, you, Jaina, and Thrall will need to travel to Zovaal's Cauldron to see if you can find Baine. Once you've rescued him, you can begin the search for this waystone. To get to your destination, you will have to cross the River of Souls. (
在河边顺流而下
)
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
Our next step is clear. We must travel to Zovaal's Cauldron--a frightful place I've heard spoken of in fanatical whispers. It's a forge of sorts that lies across the River of Souls.
I have only been there a handful of times, but I have seen Baine held captive by the soldiers there. If fortune favors us, he'll still be nearby.
Once he's safe, we can see about finding this waystone the shade spoke of.
On your way, Jaina and Thrall discuss Tyrande, who Thrall does not want to leave behind.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: You're troubled, Thrall. What is it?
Thrall says: Still no sign of Tyrande. We cannot leave her alone in this nightmare.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Agreed, but we have no idea how to find her. We will do our best, but this waystone may be our only means of escape.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: If there's a way out of the Maw, then there has to be a way back in. We will return for her.
As you step onto the bridge that crosses Gorgoa, the River of Souls, the sea-witch
海拉
appears and tries to stop you. Thrall throws his axe at her, and, enraged, she knocks you off the bridge, into the river below.
Thrall says: Hold. I hear something stirring...
Helya says: Your wretched souls will feed the coming darkness!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: "Wretched"? I heard you were soundly beaten by a force of "wretched" champions, witch!
Helya says: You will pay for that insult! The skies of your world will be darkened by the wings of my Mawsworn!
Thrall says: For Azeroth!onHelya says: Drown! Drown among the souls of the damned!
Lore Spotlight: Helya
Many centuries ago, Helya was a titan-forged watcher closely associated with the keeper
奥丁
, who sold his own eye in exchange for a look into the Shadowlands. Catching a glimpse of Bastion, Odyn decided to create his own afterlife - the Halls of Valor, an eternal hall of drinking, feasting, and hunting for those mortals who died a worthy death in battle. To ferry the souls of these mortals to his Halls, Odyn decided to create Val'kyr - winged creatures inspired by Kyrian. However, when no one volunteered to become these Val'kyr, Odyn decided to force the role on mortal Vrykul. Helya, who was like a daughter to Odyn at the time, strongly objected to this, and even threatened to leave if Odyn went through with it. Seeing her threat as an act of disobedience, Odyn forcibly transformed Helya into his first Val'kyr instead, and then made her do the same to unwilling Vrykul herself.
As a result of this betrayal, Helya became consumed with loathing of Odyn and everything he stood for, and when she eventually broke free, she became the ruler of the underworld Helheim - a direct contrast to the Halls of Valor. It was during Legion when Sylvanas approached her with a deal - the details of which we still don't know, but which seems to have converted Helya to the Jailer's cause.
Though it may not be filled with water, Gorgoa is a truly terrible place, in which souls flow, crying out their final words.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore yells: What is this madness?
Thrall yells: This sound... it's unbearable!
Anduin Wrynn yells: Keep moving!
You struggle through the river, and finally make your way onto the bank, to witness a disturbing sight. Atop a tower in the distance stands the Jailer, and in his grasp, Baine Bloodhoof.
Thrall says: Look! On the precipice above! Is that...
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The Jailer.
Anduin Wrynn says: He has Baine!
The Jailer says: Pitiful mortal. I find your spirit...
Baine Bloodhoof says: <Groan.>
The Jailer says: Unworthy.
Thrall says: Baine! No!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
The Jailer has Baine!
This is worse than we feared...
As you watch, the Jailer, clearly unimpressed with Baine, throws him down into the Cauldron. You manage to get to him, to find him unconscious. Though Anduin can heal his physical wounds, his spirit is still close to death.
Anduin Wrynn says: His wounds are mending, but his spirit remains weakened. I've never seen anything like it.
Thrall says: I believe I have. In a place very far from here...
Thrall has seen this sort of dark magic before, among the Shadowmoon clan. The only cure is to find the object that poisoned his spirit, and shatter it. You're looking specifically for a
凋零之刃
. (
超越血肉的伤口
)
Even as Baine's flesh mends, his spirit draws closer to death. I have seen dark magic like this before... among the Shadowmoon clan.
The Jailer's minions must have inflicted a similar malady upon Baine.
The only cure for the Shadowmoon's curse was to find the object they used to poison the spirit and shatter it.
The sorcerers of this realm wield ornamental daggers. That might be what we're looking for.
We must find the one that they used on Baine--quickly!
And talking of weapons, Thrall needs a new axe now that he's lost his old one. (
一把好斧子
)
I was a damned fool for throwing my axe at that sea hag. We can't afford to lose focus.
The battle ahead won't be easy. I'll need another weapon to help us fight to the waystone.
Looks like these soldiers have plenty of armaments. Let's keep an eye out for one I can use.
Thrall says: A crossbow? I prefer to strike my enemies face to face.
Thrall says: I suppose it's got heft to it. Let's see what else we can find, though.
Thrall says: I've never been one for staves, but at least it won't break in a melee.
Thrall says: Let's keep looking.
Thrall says: A serviceable weapon. Though I've never understood why the Alliance seems so fixated with swords.
Thrall says: Too much blade, not enough haft.
Thrall says: Hmph. Too long a handle.
Thrall says: Better than nothing, I suppose. Let's take one more look.
Thrall says: At last, a proper warrior's weapon!
Thrall says: If the Jailer comes, he will taste my steel!
We were fortunate to find the sorcerer who poisoned Baine's spirit.
I will need your help breaking its link to the High Chieftain.
This lacks the balance and craftsmanship of a good Frostwolf axe, but it will have to do.
Let's get moving.
Lore Spotlight: The Shadowmoon Clan
The Shadowmoon Clan was once a peaceful Shamanistic clan of Draenor, but like many Orc clans, it fell demonic corruption. This clan's final chieftain was Ner'zhul, infamously the first Lich King. It is now known that the Lich King's armor and blade were forged of Domination magic - originating from the Jailer. If Thrall recognizes the magic within the withered blade as weilded by the Shadowmoon clan, this suggests that some of their magic originated in the Maw as well.
For his part, Ner'zhul was meant to herald the Jailer's coming in Azeroth, but he failed. At this point in the story, the Jailer still keeps the tortured
耐奥祖的残迹
deep within the
统御圣所
, within the heart of Torghast itself.
Once you have the
凋零之刃
, you perform the ritual to release Baine. (
抽出黑暗
)
Now that we have the dagger, it will take the combined will of all of us to sever the weapon's link to the High Chieftain.
Jaina, Anduin, and I must do our part to keep Baine's spirit grounded, so it will be up to you to deal with whatever force is unleashed when the blade is broken.
Are you up to the task?
Thrall breaks the blade and you defeat the
衰颓之息
this summons, freeing Baine's spirit from its poisonous influence.
Thrall says: When I break the blade, be prepared for whatever comes.
Anduin Wrynn says: This curse is tearing his soul apart!
Anduin Wrynn says: You must defeat it, quickly!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Hold on, Baine! Do not let the Jailer take you!
Anduin Wrynn says: I think he's coming to.
Anduin Wrynn says: Baine, can you hear me?
Baine Bloodhoof says: Anduin? I had thought my end had come...
Thrall says: It almost did, were it not for this champion.
Baine Bloodhoof says: Then you have my eternal gratitude, Hero.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I wish we had more time for you to recover, but we need to move.
Baine Bloodhoof says: Understood. Lead the way.
Baine Bloodhoof
Were it not for your efforts, I am certain my body and soul would be trapped in this forsaken place for eternity.
I owe you my life, <name>, and I will fight to my last breath to repay this debt.
If you're going to escape
噬渊
now, you have to find the waystone Darion learned about. (
救赎之路
)
Lady Jaina Proudmoore
We must move quickly if we wish to find the waystone. The soul mentioned it overlooks the Cauldron, which would put it somewhere upon the ridge on the other side.
Unfortunately, this area is swarming with the enemy forces. We'd best avoid engaging them, lest we draw the Jailer's attention.
I can shield us from sight, but we all have to stay together.
Thrall says: We seek a waystone located beyond the Cauldron. Have you seen it?
Baine Bloodhoof says: I spotted an obelisk of ancient stone upon the high ridge.
Baine Bloodhoof says: It did not seem important. The Jailer's forces pay it little heed. What do you think it is?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Our way out of here--we hope.
Baine Bloodhoof says: The Jailer's forces seem endless. There is no way we can fight through them all.
Thrall says: Jaina, can you hide us from their sight?
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: My spell will get us past most of his guards, but there will likely be some who can see through it.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Stay close. We can't afford to draw their attention.
As you sneak past the Jailer's forces, your allies comment on the steady stream of souls pouring into
噬渊
. The fact that so many souls are being damned to an eternity of torture is a harrowing one.
Baine Bloodhoof says: The size of the Jailer's army rivals that of the Legion... and it's growing larger.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Hold here.
Anduin Wrynn says: So many souls pouring into the Maw. The dead of Azeroth... Draenor... worlds beyond our imagination. All damned to this place.
Baine Bloodhoof says: To be forged into weapons for the Jailer.
Thrall says: Despite all Sylvanas has done, I never thought she would be part of something like this.
You finally catch sight of the waystone.
Anduin Wrynn
We made it!
If we can activate this waystone, we just might be able to escape this place!
Though you were told it was dormant, and even broken, it lights up as you approach, seemingly responding specifically to your energy.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Look! On the platform ahead! That must be the waystone!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: We need to reach it before the Jailer takes notice.
Anduin Wrynn says: The waystone was said to be dormant, yet it seems to be reacting to our presence.
Anduin Wrynn says: I can't find a way to activate it.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I don't think the stone is responding to us. I think it's responding to this champion.
Since the waystone is responding specifically to you, you attempt to activate it. (
团结一致
)
Anduin Wrynn
<Anduin examines the obelisk intently.>
I've never seen markings like these before. I've studied titan artifacts, but this appears to be made by a different hand.
Hmm. It doesn't respond to me. I think Jaina's right. The waystone is reacting to your presence.
Perhaps you'll have better luck activating it.
Stay on your guard. The Jailer's forces paid this no mind when it was dormant, but there's no telling what they'll do if that changes.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: When the Jailer realizes our plan, he'll send all his forces against us.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Our only chance is to keep them at bay long enough for the waystone to fully charge. Every second counts!
Sure enough, while the waystone is still charging, you are set upon by the Jailer's forces, and you have to fight them off.
Baine Bloodhoof says: I think the stone is gaining power!
The Jailer says: A relic of the First Ones... responding to a mortal?! Impossible!
The Jailer says: Mawsworn! Take them!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Hold the line! The waystone must finish charging!
The Jailer says: My forces are vast! Endless!
Thrall says: We have stopped endless armies before. We will never yield!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: It's nearly charged! Do not falter!
The Jailer says: Death comes for the soul of your world! All that you see--all that you know--will be undone!
At the worst possible time, the Jailer's army threatening to overwhelm you, the waystone stops charging. Desperate, Jaina suggests you try activate it manually somehow, since it seems to be responding to you.
Baine Bloodhoof says: Jaina, something's wrong. It seems the waystone has stopped charging!
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The stone responds to you, Champion! Try to activate it while we hold off the Jailer's army!
As you reach out your hand to try activate the Waystone, the Jailer himself appears. He sends forth his shackles, recapturing Thrall, Jaina, and Baine before your eyes. Anduin is just able to summon a shield of Light for long enough to allow you to escape before he, too, is captured.
<The waystone appears to be fully charged.
You reach out and touch its surface...>
You touch the Waystone...
The Jailer says: Nothing escapes the Maw.
The Jailer says: Yield to the inevitable!
Anduin Wrynn says: They've stopped their advance...
Anduin Wrynn says: The Light is with me... even here.
Anduin Wrynn says: Go, champion! Go!
The Jailer says: Interesting...
Anduin Wrynn says: You... have failed.
The Jailer says: No... I have precisely what I need.
...And find yourself transported out of

Overseer Kah-Delen says: The reports from our scryers were unmistakable. The Maw shuddered for a moment, as if reacting to some change.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: An ill omen, to be certain. What can it mean?
Attendant Protector says: Overseers! This stranger appeared at the city's edge. I believe them to be... a living mortal.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: Another unexpected development. We will see to their reception.
Kah-Delen seems amazed that you, a mortal, stand before her.

Overseer Kah-Delen
A living mortal ... incredible!
Forgive my astonishment. I am Kah-Delen, an overseer of the Arbiter's attendants here in the Eternal City of Oribos.
You stand within the heart of the Shadowlands. While we are accustomed to receiving souls from all manner of worlds within the mortal realm, never before has one arrived that is quite so ... corporeal.
Answer honestly, mortal. Did you truly escape the Maw?
You tell her that you did, and the Overseers explain why that is astonishing.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: Every attendant in Oribos is taught that the Maw is unbreachable. That the malevolent souls within were sealed away for all eternity.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: This mortal's escape might mean the prison is weakening. If true, the Banished One could ...
Tal-Inara says: Kah-Delen! Kah-Sher! Purpose be praised! At long last, the Arbiter has stirred!
While they're discussing this,
塔尔-伊纳拉
, another Attendant, arrives with news:
仲裁官
has stirred. Apparently, this is incredibly important and unusual, and though Kah-Sher does worry that you might be an agent of the Jailer, the Attendants ultimately decide to bring you to the Arbiter - since her stirring on your arrival surely cannot be a mere coincidence.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: Wondrous news, Honored Voice! Mere moments ago, there was a disturbance at the boundary of the Maw. Then this mortal appeared, claiming to have broken free of it.
Tal-Inara says: A living mortal! Surely their presence here serves the Purpose. If the Arbiter reacted to their arrival, perhaps they are the key to waking her.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: Is this mortal worthy of such an audience? They may prove to be an agent of the Jailer!
Tal-Inara says: It is the Arbiter's place to judge souls, Kah-Sher, not ours. I will bring this mortal before her. With her voice have I spoken.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: Blessed be her Voice.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: Blessed be her Voice.
Tal-Inara
Finally, the Purpose may be guiding us again.
Tal-Inara introduces herself and suggests you come with her. (
觐见仲裁官
)
I am Tal-Inara, Honored Voice of the Arbiter. I speak for she who is ever silent.
The Arbiter watches over Oribos. She blesses us with her wisdom. Every mortal soul that enters the Shadowlands passes before her for judgment.
In the merest fraction of a moment, she sees every glory, every folly, every joy, every regret. With this knowledge, she chooses an ideal afterlife for that soul.
At least, she did. Not long ago, catastrophe struck, and ...
Come. Some things are better seen than explained.
You agree to come with her, and she teleports you to the Crucible, with the Arbiter before you. It's immediately clear that something is wrong.
Alas, your presence does not seem to have any further effect on the dormant Arbiter. Disappointed, Tal-Inara decides to show you a vision of the Shadowlands as they were before, and what has happened to cause so much chaos now.
Tal-Inara says: I pray the Arbiter will awaken in your presence, mortal.
Tal-Inara says: She is unchanged. Ever silent. Ever still.
Tal-Inara says: When you arrived in Oribos, I saw the Arbiter stir for the first time in many cycles. It gave me hope that she would awaken and resume her blessed Purpose.
Tal-Inara says: Mere words cannot describe the glory that was. Step forward, that I may show you.
Before, the Shadowlands was in perfect order. The Arbiter judged every soul that came into the Shadowlands and sent them to the afterlife they deserved, until one day, something terrible happened. The Arbiter was made dormant by some strange power, and ever since, every soul that comes into the Shadowlands has been damned directly to the inescapable torment of
噬渊
- the most hellish zone in the Shadowlands.
Tal-Inara says: For uncounted eons, the Shadowlands was in perfect order.
Tal-Inara says: Infinite afterlives, with Oribos, the Eternal City, as the shining heart.
Tal-Inara says: Every mortal soul came before the Arbiter, and she, ever wise, experienced all that had shaped the soul in life.
Tal-Inara says: With this knowledge, she consigned every soul to the afterlife it justly deserved.
Tal-Inara says: Until...
Tal-Inara says: In that dread moment, perfect order was shattered.
Tal-Inara says: And so it is that every soul, kind and cruel alike, is denied its rightful afterlife.
Tal-Inara says: And instead is damned to the inescapable torment of the Maw.
With all the souls heading to
噬渊
, the Shadowlands have been struck by an anima drought, causing widespread disaster, all because of the Jailer's hatred.
Tal-Inara says: Now souls rich with anima travel only to the Maw. We have tried everything to stop it, to awaken our blessed Arbiter... to no avail.
Tal-Inara says: Without anima, drought has gripped the Shadowlands. The afterlives have grown isolated. Fear and uncertainty haunt us all.
Tal-Inara says: With countless souls feeding the Jailer, I fear he may grow strong enough to break free from the Maw.
Tal-Inara says: It is said he is filled with hatred for the Arbiter. If he strikes her down, it would bring the end of everything the First Ones made.
Tal-Inara says: Return to the lower levels. The overseers will prepare you for what is to come.
Together, you and Tal-Inara return to The Enclave in
奥利波斯
.
Overseer Kah-Delen
We may find a shared cause in the Purpose. It has sent you to us.
Kah-Delen suggests creating a tether to your homeworld - which you might be able to do by placing a memento from there on a map chamber that she tells you was made long ago by the First Ones. You decide to use the fragments from the Helm of Domination. (

Overseer Kah-Delen
It is disappointing that you were unable to stir the Arbiter, but we must not give up hope.
Your continued presence in the Shadowlands may help our cause. Perhaps your efforts would benefit from creating a tether to the mortal plane.
The map table in this chamber was put in place long ago by the First Ones, the wise architects of all you see.
If you have a memento from your homeworld, place it there. The table's magic can establish a connection.
You place the Helm on the map table, and as you do, a deathgate opens.

Overseer Kah-Sher says: More outsiders! What have you done, mortal?
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: Be at ease. I am Bolvar Fordragon. These knights and I are here to help.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: The touch of the Maw is upon their souls as well.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: But if they found a way to break free of its influence, perhaps they can aid us.
Bolvar, meanwhile, tells you that he's been able to watch your journey through

thanks to your mutual connection to the Helm of Domination. While the tether you created was enough to bring him and through, you'll need to establish stronger portals to bring others across. (

Highlord Bolvar Fordragon
The Helm fragment connected us while you were in the Maw. As if through a darkened pane of glass, I saw glimpses of what you endured. The terrors you faced.
At least the heroes of Azeroth yet live. They must be saved.
By affixing the Helm here, you gave us a tether to Azeroth that served to bring a few of us across the veil. But you, and other heroes who join us, require a stronger connection.
Our acolytes can open portals back. No doubt these attendants will be particular about their placement.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: You seek to open a doorway back to the realm of the living? Oh dear. Oribos is crowded enough with so many Brokers arriving every day.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: Now, now, Kah-Sher, be hospitable. Mortal, I suggest establishing your portals where you first arrived... just outside the city.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: As you wish. Champion, please confirm where our acolytes should open the portals.
Ebon Blade Acolyte says: I have opened countless portals in my lifetime. But never one that connected two planes of reality.
Ebon Blade Acolyte says: I thought death was the end of existence. Here, it seems, Death is a power that offers new beginnings.
Overseer Kah-Sher
Your path and the Purpose are now entwining.
After establishing portals to

Overseer Kah-Sher
You should become familiar with the Eternal City and how best to navigate it.
We, the attendants, serve Oribos as its caretakers.
Everything you see here is done in service to the Purpose. In this time of chaos and drought, we must adapt our perspective. It seems we are to serve the Purpose in a new way.
You mortals are not the only visitors here. Others have come as well.
Like you, the brokers are not of Oribos. They are congenial and willing to aid you. Usually for a price.
Lore Spotlight: Denizens of Oribos
According to the
Grimoire of the Shadowlands
, the Attendants of Oribos were created along with the Arbiter, specifically to serve her, and to look after the Eternal City. These Attendants follow something they call "The Purpose", a grand pattern laid out by their creators, and each has their own role. Tal-Inara, for example, acts as the Voice of the Arbiter since she never spoke - even when she did seem to work.
While the Brokers are not native to Oribos itself, they are native to the Shadowlands. A Merchant race, the Brokers put a lot of effort into exploring and gathering everything of value that they can, from knowledge to powerful relics. As a society, the Brokers are divided into cartels, distinguished by the prefixes before their names. For example, Au'brak is a Broker from cartel Au. Trust among Brokers is rare, sometimes even among members of their own cartels, and even their appearance is a manipulation - designed to be specifically appealing to mortals.

from consuming all of reality, and stop Sylvanas and the Jailer, you will need to learn more about this realm you find yourself in. He suggests you speak to Tal-Inara for advice. (
理解暗影界
)
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon
As I sat upon the Frozen Throne all those years, <name>, I could peer into the Shadowlands. Brief glimpses, clouded and uncertain. Sights both wondrous and terrible.
We must work together to make sense of what has happened. To prevent the Maw from consuming all of reality.
Whatever Sylvanas and the Jailer want, we must stop them. But we cannot do so alone.
Perhaps Tal-Inara can put us on the path to find answers.
Tal-Inara is interested to know how you came to be trapped in
噬渊
, and Bolvar describes the dark, winged beings who kidnapped your world's faction leaders. To Tal-Inara, this sounds similar to the Kyrian of
晋升堡垒
, who are both winged and able to bring souls from mortal realms to the Shadowlands. It's not a total match - the Kyrian are noble and don't use chains - but it's the best clue you have right now, and Tal-Inara gives the command that you be sent to
晋升堡垒
to find out more.
Tal-Inara says: Tell me, how did these allies from your world become trapped in the Maw?
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: Sylvanas Windrunner sent her agents to abduct them. Dark, winged beings who caught them in chains and dragged them through the shattered sky.
Tal-Inara says: The winged kyrian of Bastion ferry souls from the mortal realm into the Shadowlands, but not with chains. And they are noble, untainted by the Maw.
Overseer Kah-Delen says: True, but it would seem this is the only clue our mortal friend has to follow. It falls to us to open the way for them.
Tal-Inara says: Agreed. Overseer Kah-Sher, take this mortal to the Ring of Transference. Use our anima reserves to open a pathway to Bastion.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: But Honored Voice, we have so little anima in our reserves! Surely we should be more--
Tal-Inara says: See it done, Kah-Sher. With her voice have I spoken.
Overseer Kah-Sher
Your path and that of the Purpose are becoming one.
Kah-Sher shows you the way upstairs, to the Ring of Transferrence. The gateways here have remained closed since the Arbiter became dormant, but together you can channel some anima to open the way to
晋升堡垒
. (
通往晋升堡垒之路
)
Overseer Kah-Sher
Within the Arbiter's Chamber are gateways to the infinite realms of the Shadowlands. As each soul was judged, a gateway would be opened to the appropriate afterlife.
But since the... incident, all gateways have remained closed. Dormant.
We dare not use the Arbiter's sacred chamber for so mundane a purpose as travel. But here in the upper ring of the city, gateways can be configured for your needs.
Before us stands the means to activate a gateway. Together we can channel the anima to power it.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: We have precious little anima to spare. But the Honored Voice has blessed your mission, so we will use what we have.
Overseer Kah-Sher says: We will call down one of the soul conduits for use as a gateway to Bastion. These paths have been dormant for some time. Your arrival will be... unexpected.
Pathscribe Ron-Avonavi says: Welcome, Kah-Sher. Is it true? Are we to open the gate again?
With the gateway open, all that's left is for you to travel through, to seek the Ascended in
晋升堡垒
, and begin your adventures in the the Shadowlands.
Overseer Kah-Sher
Purpose be praised! Your path becomes clearer.

How do you skip the intro quests after finishing the part 2 (that is mentioned under the quick facts?) Is there a special NPC you must talk with? I was not able to skip it on an alt, and I had finished that part already on my first character.

I assume that the title is required, but for my Death Knight, the opening line was different:
Highlord Darion Mograine says:
Deathlord
, the veil between our world and the Shadowlands has been sundered.
Highlord Darion Mograine says: The Ebon Blade stands ready. I await you in Stormwind/Orgrimmar. Come, before the icy grasp of Death claims Azeroth.

Unfortunately the quest is bugged where the leader npc's dialog doesn't happen. At least only Lor'themar speaks and nothing else happens.
