Covenant Adventures
.
This Shadowlands guide will detail unlock The Scouting Map, recruit Adventurers, send them on Adventures, and rewards you can earn including mounts.
What are Covenant Adventures in Shadowlands
For Shadowlands, Covenant Adventures are the next iteration of
Missions
. They are an abstracted, turn based combat system that relies more on tactical ability management and less on pure RNG than the Missions that we are used to. As with previous Missions, Adventures is a system for offline progression, meaning that you set up what you want to do and the majority of advancement is done in real time without your direct interaction. You can be working towards your goal while you are playing other content, and even while you are off-line. The system is also available on the
Mobile Companion App
so you can collect and launch Adventures on the go.

Adventures are, like Missions, accessed by interacting with a dedicated table, the
Command Table
, that is in your Covenant Sanctum. This opens an interface, the
Scouting Map
which allows access to available, in progress, and completed Adventures as well as your collection of Companions and everything you need to send them on an Adventure. You can also view (but not interact with) your Scouting Map in the
Covenant Sanctum Report
accessed from the Covenant icon on your minimap.
Like previous iterations of Missions, your Companions have special abilities which are used in battle. Previous versions have required selecting units with abilities that counter requirements for the mission. With Adventures, your units' abilities are not static counters, they are combat abilities that are used directly to defeat enemy forces in battle.
You will be able to select up to five Companions to participate in the Adventure. When the adventure is complete, you will see it play out turn by turn. Paying attention to this will allow you to refine your choice of who to send against what type of enemy for greater successes.
Additions to Adventures in Patch 9.1
Patch 9.1, Chains of Domination, adds 3 new Companions to each Covenant. These are all acquired through Renown and all start out at level 1, just like all the previous Companions.

Current Challenges with the Adventures System
Before elaborating on the Adventures system, it's important to lay out some of the current design challenges of Adventures, so that you are aware of them from the beginning. It may even change your mind about which Sanctum systems to unlock, depending on your Covenant.
Covenant Imbalance
There are currently Covenant balance issues with the Adventures tables -- most notably for players who choose the Kyrian or Venthyr Covenants. The Companions for these two Covenants seem to be lacking some of the strength and synergies that Necrolord and Night Fae players enjoy. Since one of the key features of Adventures is the the strategies around the special abilities of Covenant-based companions, the current weaknesses of the Kyrian and Venthyr champions mean that completing any of the higher-level missions, such as the coveted

missions, is far more difficult for these Covenants than for others.
For example, the

appears as a Companion for the Venthyr, with a strong defensive ability of a 20% damage reduction. However, the Night Fae general troop, the

, has nearly exactly the same ability. This may not seem like a big deal, except that you can only have 1

as a Venthyr but can use multiple
炽蓝仙野诱捕者
as a Night Fae, stacking this damage reduction up to 80%. Venthyr common troops have no defensive capabilities beyond an ability to heal themselves (not the Companion or other troops).
Leveling New Companions
New companions currently start at level 1. While this is no problem early on, as you advance and the levels of your missions change, you're basically going to have to treat new Companions as a "carry pet", like you would for leveling a Battle Pet. Low-level Companions will need to be a ride-along on lower-level missions until their own level is decently high enough to contribute to higher level missions, which may slow down your progress and your ability to tackle high-level missions. The lower level Companion will bring down the average team level for a long time, so at this time it's a painful process to have to step back to do less profitable missions to level up lagging Champions.
To make matters worse, some of the most powerful Companions with the best abilities are acquired the latest in your Renown cycle (you actually earn your last companion at Renown 38, in Week 15), so this is a constant process of having to level up new Companions to deal with new threats.

Adventures are Covenant themed and will be run through, and with the blessing of, your chosen Covenant. Once you reach Level 60 and commit to your Covenant, you will be shown your Anima Reservoir along with the upgrades that you can choose to make in your Sanctum. One of those upgrades is the Adventure system,
The Command Table
. The other possible upgrades are the Transport Network, the Anima Conductor, and the Covenant Feature which is different for each Covenant. Unlocking a Sanctum Upgrade costs both

Once you decide to unlock the Command Table you will receive a quest to create your
Scouting Map
where you will access the Adventures system. As you progress and gain more Anima, you will be able to unlock further upgrades to the Command Table.
There are three tiers to the Command Table:

The Scouting Map: Your Adventures Interface
The Scouting Map should seem very familiar; it looks very much like our previous Missions interfaces. Opening the Scouting Map shows you a list of available Adventures, along with a level, a rarity indicator, the time required for completion, and the rewards that you will get when you win.

The Cost of Adventuring
As with previous iterations of the system, Adventures require a currency, and each Adventure costs an amount of that currency to launch. For Adventures, the currency is

which is Anima earned from the weekly quest,

, along with World Quests, Callings, Quests, and more. It is stored in your Anima Reservoir. Unlike Missions, in addition to the base cost of the Adventure, there is a fee of for each Troop added to your party. More on that below.
Companions
In previous expansions we have recruited Followers to do our bidding and complete Missions for us. This time around we will collect
Companions
to run our errands. There are three categories of Companion,
Soulbinds
,
Allies
, and
Troops
, who are further divided into Tank, Healer, and DPS roles. Companions have special abilities as well as stats, including health and damage values, which level up with experience.
All Companions start out at level 1 and acquire levels by gaining experience from completing Adventures. Experience is awarded whether you win or lose the Adventure. The level of your Troops is the median level of your Companions.
Soulbinds
Your 3 Covenant Soulbinds, earned through Covenant quests and the Covenant Campaign, are not just for Soulbinding. You can also send them off on Adventures. Soulbinds each have two unique abilities to contribute; these are your most powerful Companions.
Allies
There are fourteen named Allies that you can collect as you progress through the game. Each Ally has one unique ability.
6 Allies are recruited by earning Covenant Renown.
6 Covenant Allies can be rescued from Torghast, Tower of the Damned.
2 unaffiliated adventurers can be recruited by any Covenant from inside Torghast.
The Torghast Allies are acquired from random quests that spawn during a Torghast run. If you are in a group, they are awarded to all elidgible players - ie. players of the appropriate Covenent and/or who do not already have that Companion.
Troops
Troops are unnamed units who are a fancy resource to fill out your ranks. Each Covenant has two different Troop types which have each have a special ability associated with their role. Troops can be used infinitely, but each one added increases the cost of your Adventure.

Covenant Companions Compared and Explained
Going on an Adventure
The actual Adventure is where you will notice the biggest changes from previous versions of the system. Each Adventure will present you with a selection of enemies and five slots in which you can place your selected Companions. You will want to choose a solid mix from your Soulbinds, Allies, and Troops to create a party to deal with the various threats encountered in the Adventure.
Two things to keep in mind:
You have to include at least one Soulbind or Ally in your party, you can't send a party comprised entirely of Troops.
Troops can be used infinitely, but each one added increases the cost of your Adventure by . This is usually worth the cost and can make the difference between a triumph and a tragedy.
When you first access your Scouting Table, there will be a brief tutorial consisting of three Adventures that each take only a minute to complete. This is the tutorial, step by step, with added commentary for your reference. You click on any of the images to see a larger version.
Step 1:
To start an Adventure just click on the one you'd like to go on. In the tutorial there isn't a choice, but eventually you will have a whole list to pick from.
Step 2:
Drag your Companions from the list on the left into the slots on the right. Above you can see the enemies that you will need to defeat. Hovering your Companion over the slot will show an icon over the unit it will affect. In this case Nadjia the Mistblade is going to attack the enemy with the red mark over it.
The Base Cost for the Adventure is shown at the bottom of the combat panel. This Cost will increase when you add Troops.
You will notice icons above your character. In the case of Nadjia, the triangle indicates that she is the leader - remember that you always need a Soulbind or Ally Companion to lead the group. The cross indicates that she can heal herself.
Hovering over a Character will show you their abilities.
Notice that the Cost has increased by for each Troop I've added.
Troops also have abilities that you can see by hovering over them.
You will want to make sure that you place your Companions in a way that each enemy can be hit. If you don't, they ones that can't be hit won't take any damage until the enemies who are targeted are dead - but they might still be able to damage your people.
A different Adventure shows a good example. I need to make sure I have a ranged Companion to deal with the Necromancer.
I also need to make sure that the Companion that the Necromancer is going to hit can take the damage. I move my ranged Troop over to do double duty, both hit him and be hit by him. The Troop has the ability to heal so I think she'll be ok.
Remember to add in a leader.
Step 3:
Review your troops! I have moved everyone to what I think is an effective spot.
Notice the stats on both the enemy's part of the screen and on yours. These show the health and the strength of their troops and yours. Make sure that your numbers are bigger if you can!
When you are ready, hit Start, and confirm that you mean it...do or die....
You can return to your Command Table to check on the time remaining on an
In Progress
Adventure, or you can check on it from anywhere by opening the Covenant Sanctum Report accessed by clicking the Covenant icon on your minimap. The Covenant Sanctum Report will also show you a list of available Adventures. If any look appealing, head back to your Command Table and send your Companions off on another Adventure.
Step 4:
After the allotted time has elapsed, returning to my Command Table shows me a check mark next to my Adventure indicating that it is complete.
Completing an Adventure
When your Adventure is complete, return to your Command Table and open the Scouting map. Completed Adventures will be highlighted and have a check mark after their title. Click on a completed Adventure.
You will be treated to a turn by turn replay of the Adventure. Checking out how each of your Companions performed can help you refine your choices of Companions and their placement for the next Adventure. Yes, you can skip the replay and go straight to rewards if you wish - there's a button for that.
After that any rewards for you and experience for your Companions are awarded. Click continue to accept your winnings and head on to the next Adventure.
Failing an Adventure
If you fail an Adventure, you do not receive the reward item, but your Companions still receive experience. Your Companions may also take
damage
. They naturally heal over time, heal to full on level up, or, if you are desperate, can be healed for
an Anima cost
by clicking the
Heal All
button. Of course you can send damaged Companions on Adventures, but they do go in with a disadvantage and there is always a chance that those who can heal may actually return in better shape!
Notable Adventures
Campaign Adventures
Campaign Adventures are Adventures that advance you through the Adventures system. Successfully completing a Campaign Adventure will grant you access to more Adventures with better rewards. Campaign Adventures are indicated by
Campaign:
in front of the title, and a helmet icon next to the rewards.
Soul Ash Rewards
灵魂灰烬
is an important currency notably required for crafting Legendaries.

is currently time-gated and has a weekly cap. Generally
灵魂灰烬
is available from completing Torghast Layers, and some quests. You can get an extra 100 or so more
灵魂灰烬
from Adventures, assuming that you are offered the Adventures in question. Make sure that you jump on those to get just that much closer to your next Legendary.
The
灵魂灰烬
Adventure seems to spawn after you have completed a couple of
Campaign Adventures
and is quite a difficult mission to complete. As you can see in the image below, it is higher level than other offered Adventures, so you may need to level up your Companions in order to complete it successfully.

Addons for Adventures
There are currently a few addons for Adventures, although this is such a new system that there aren't many yet. These also share some of the same shortcomings -- namely, not taking special abilities into full account when calculating success or failure. However, for those who are struggling with putting together viable teams, one of these addons will take some of the guesswork out of choosing between the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
Unlike previous mission/garrison adventure managers, these addons do not yet make troop suggestions. These merely help you get a better handle on possible outcomes, taking into account that neither addon can yet take special abilities into account. Still very much worth it while all of us are getting used to a new system.
You can even get the best of both worlds and run these together! Venture Plan is more comprehensive, while Covenant MIssion Success Estimates provides a real-time component for estimating troop strengths.

Improves the main Adventure Table interface with more details on missions such as time remaining and experience values for missions with rewards other than experience;

Covenant Mission Success Estimates
Simpler than Venture Plan, Covenant Mission Success Estimates gives real-time estimates as to the success of your missions, including estimating how many turns it will take for success or defeat. This box will appear at the bottom of the Mission screen, with statements ranging from "certain defeat" to "probable success" to "certain success", which allows you to move Companions and troops in and out to experiment with possible outcomes without having to click on anything.

Even though this guide was just updated four days ago, it seems to be out of date. The table doesn't show power level, it shows health and damage. Those stats don't turn red or yellow either. I'm having a hard time figuring out if I'll win the adventure. What am I missing?

It's a nice guide, as someone said, even though it was upgraded yesterday, it is still outdated. The photos need to be updated as they no longer represent what we see in game.
The adventures no longer show enemy and party power but instead show a heart (I assume for health, and a sword for (this maybe power, unclear as it doesn't say what either of them are).
Another nice feature that was missed about the followers. We're told what they do, what they're names are, but the one piece of information vitally needed wasn't included, how to obtain them. One commenter said he got one as a random in torghast, not sure if he meant random drop from the boss or a random follower inside that he helped and they volunteered to be his follower. I would think, for someone who was able to list the follower's names and their abilities as the author did, they would have known where they got the followers to know these things. Can we please get that information as well? Thanks.
P.S. If this sounds #$%^&y, I apologize, it's not meant to be. I'm just frustrated that I have the initial companion, two troops and nothing else and no idea how to increase my followers. I did the tutorials and one mission, after that, the enemy teams have all got a lot more health (heart) and a lot more power (sword) and I keep failing the missions. I've stopped sending them on missions until I can increase my troops as it's a waste of time and anima.

I just discovered tonight that you can get Soul Ash from Adventures! Level 19, 1 day, 114 Soul Ash. Pretty crazy considering the cap otherwise for Week 1 is 810.

These adventures are very unclear. Like how much xp do your followers gain on a mission? Nowhere to be found. My highest ally is level 6 and i only get level 6+ missions which are like impossible to complete succesfully...

adventures as a whole just feel terrible to me. i feel like my choices don't matter, it's unintutitve to see how likely i am to win or lose, and i feel like i'd rather my companion die and get instantly healed for free (and gain all the xp anyway) than survive at 5% and then either pay hundreds of anima to heal him, or wait until tomorrow to use him again. i like most of the rest of the expansion, but i hate adventures.

The note about the green arrow meaning that a character is "the leader" is incorrect, an upward green arrow over a character shows that it is is getting a Buff from some source. Similarly a downward red arrow on any character means it has a Debuff from some source.

I know its RNG if they spawn but is it a one per week type of deal? Are they in different parts of Torghast? Stuff that isn't unlocked yet? I cannot find a good answer.

Some things mentioned in the comments below that that are helpful to point out with this guide. These are mostly tips and in no particular order:
* You can use the same troop multiple times to fill multiple slots in the same mission. Dragging "warrior" to 2 slots causes 2 copies of "warrior" to show up in your mission. This is one of the single most missed things about the system people aren't used to.
* The numbers next to the missions (before clicking on a mission to run it) are the mission "levels". This is a "gauge" of how difficult the mission is going to be. If you have a level 14 leader and you're going to attempt a level 20 mission, you're probably going to fail.
* Once you click into a mission (and can assign soldiers) in the upper right corner are two numbers: One next to a little "sword" icon, once next to a "heart" icon. This is the combined Hit Points (heart) and Attack Value (Sword) that the enemy "team" has. Once you add soldiers (Companions and Troops) your own values will appear in the lower right corner.
* These values DO NOT take into account special abilities of your troops or the enemy troops. If there is a healer on the enemy side, 1000 health might turn into 3000 health over the course of the adventure...so be careful. However the Health/Damage values are another more finely grained "gauge".
* The best way to guess at success is to average the level of your companions and troops you're intending to send, if they're not too far off the level of the quest enter the quest and start placing your minions. Then look at the health/damage vs. the enemy. If the mission is a higher level than your average and the HP / Damage totals are similar, you're likely in for a difficult mission.
* If your level is similar, and your HP/Damage totals are on par with the enemy, you're probably capable of winning.
* The more "companions" you put in a team the more likely you can beat an "even" or slightly bad match because the companion special abilities will sway the match. That doesn't mean that 5 companions and no troops is the best layout however.
* The front row is the "melee" row, the back row is the "ranged" row.
* When you mouse over any minion (companion or troop) it will show what/where they will attack. Make sure your minions are affecting as many of the enemy troops as possible with your placement. What a troop will affect are shown by the "hunters mark" red arrow.
* More companions are available by running Torghast. I don't think we know if they're random or just at specific levels of specific wings. in other words, just running more Torghast might not get you more companions.
* Your companions do not appear to lose health if you win the mission, only if you lose the mission.
* For those who don't like this, consider: This is the first time that RNG has mostly been removed from the table system. The entire match should be "predictable" based upon health and damage values as well as special abilities and knowing who is going to attack what.

Currently troops level is an average of all your companions levels. So adding new companions to your list is extremely penalizing, brining troops level from 15 to 8 for me with 16,14,3,1 companions. Be aware.
Edit: receiving more companions from torghast the following week didn't down the troops level so it's safe to assume the algorithm for their level isn't just the average. Looks like it's average of your 4/5/6 top leveled companions. Still penalizing when you start collecting more companions, but isn't a problem as you move on.

i cant seem to even hold a flame to these elite missions. They display with a completely unbalanced 2-3x the teams i can even build and will AoE for more then i can even try to heal.

I was excited for this system at first, and I didn’t run into most of the issues that seemed to confuse many players.
But... the more I’ve done them, the more flaws I see with the system.
The main thing that stands out to me is that my characters are getting to be higher and higher level, as are the enemies’ difficulties, but the (realistically attainable*) rewards aren’t improving and the healing costs are getting more and more expensive.
In essence, the more I level my characters, the harder it gets for the same rewards.
Perhaps it will get better when I reach cap, or when I reach some kind of breakpoint (my characters are on average 18 now), but things don’t improve, it’s my (admittedly early) opinion that the system looks like it needs some serious overhaul.
*I say realistically attainable because I sometimes see Soul Ash appear but the missions are always 3+ levels above my best characters, and if I tried to do them I would just be throwing away anima.
EDIT: As of this edit, 12-9-2020, my characters have all leveled 2-3 more levels, and I have not witnessed the difficulty of adventures continue to scale (I wish I had taken screenshots before, because, if anything, they seem like they got easier). I'm not sure if there was a hotfix, or if I reached some kind of breakpoint. Haven't seen a Soul Ash mission recently though.

I just wonder when the campaign missions will start having an effect. I've completed 3-4 of them and have not seen a change in the quality or amount of missions so far. Still getting the same 2 crafting material missions, 2 anima missions and 1 XP mission that I've always gotten and the ilvl of the rewards haven't changed.

Every Companion on the mission receives the same amount of xp - the mission xp is NOT SPLIT. So for maximum xp, and also to save on Anima cost, send as many Companions as possible on every mission.

It appears that companion XP requirement goes up every ten levels. The first ten increase by 50xp per level. The next ten increase by 100xp per level. The following ten increase by 200xp per level. The middle values in the chart are not cumulative XP. The middle values are XP to get to the next level.

Maybe someone said this but the arrow doesn't mean leader, it means that add is being upgraded somehow by itself or a different ally's ability. The heal means its getting heals from itself or an adjacent ally's ability.

I have noticed that, as the Night Fae, if you send your follower in the bottom left slot with an Ardenweald Grovetender to the right and 3 Ardenweald Trappers in the front you will be successful in just about every mission. I have sent level 25 followers with this strategy up against level 36 adventures and succeeded every time now as well. The only thing I haven't really messed with is the Soul Ash adventures. I'll update this once I figure it out or if anyone has figured it out it would be great if you could post it here. Thanks!

Does anyone know how experience works? Is it split evenly among all present, companions and troops? Is there an impact on potential experience earned by having higher level companions or troops accompany lower level ones?
As an example, right now my troops are much higher (25) than a trio of companions I am trying to level (17, 14, 14). I can send the three companions on a mission that they will assuredly win on their own, but will take more damage than if I sent a couple of troops with them. Does sending the troops lessen the experience each companion earns?

This is what I found from my experience:
- The mission level rises with an average of 10 levels every time you win 3 of the special "campain" missions with the helm icon on them. This campaign missions are average 10 levels higher that the other missions you have, but they are EASIER to complete and this may lead you in a situation in which you could raise your mission levels beyond the capability of your troops. As I did. I finished 3 of them lvl 50, my troops were average lvl30 and all other missions jumped to level 40-50 range made most of them impossible to complete.
The level 50 of campaign missions offers you pet rewards. The level 60 of the campaign missions offers you mount rewards. They are still easy to complete, but I don't dare coz I'm afraid I could level up all other missions higher. I have no idea is this (level 60 campains) the final state of level for all missions.
So my advice is not to finish pet campains before you troops get to 34-35!
- Passing to level 40-50 range made all "experience" missions to disappear. (!) Only chance to level the new recruits is to send them many times on suicide missions. High level golden dragon offer highest level experience (51 level - 1500 exp), Others in 39-50 range offers 500-1200 exp.
- There is no way to have add-on to predict completely the exit of a fight because most of them have units casting on random enemies. All you can do is to observe carefuly what units do and try to arrange your troops accordingly.

During my Night Fae adventure campaign I didn't pay much attention to what is happening to the missions, because everything was relatively easy do beat. The big shocker came when I stopped getting XP mission and my max level guy was 35. So definitely try to pace the campaign missions if you have trouble with some of the other missions.

One correction and one clarification on Kyrian adventurers.
Kythekios is listed as both a renown and a Torghast recruit. He is from Torghast.
Nemea and Pelodis are both listed, but should perhaps be noted as exclusive. You choose one or the other via the
Pride or Unit
side storyline, even though it doesn't tell you why you're making a choice.

So even though they added more of the lower level missions for XP back into the rotation it seems that they didn't do it across the board.. When I was working on campaign missions 9-12 I had plenty, some offering up to 2000+ XP. Once I finished that 12th campaign mission and moved up to the next tier the XP missions basically evaporated. I might see one per day for 1500-2000 XP. What gives? I just got Bron (I should note I'm Kyrian) at Renown 33 and I've been working to level him up to use him as he's my only tank companion besides the generic one. Next week I'll get Kosmas. How am I supposed to level him up if I'm not even getting XP missions anymore?
The mission table has been a pleasant surprise this expansion but now that I can't even level my new companions we're getting months into the expansion is making me dislike it. It's a steady stream of great cosmetic and vanity items (pets/mounts) plus a steady drip of Anima and Gold. Even outside of leveling new companions how can I level my current top companions? My top few are level 36 and 37. At 37 it takes about 5k XP to level and some of the other quests only provide 200 to 400 base XP for the mission. Disappointing to say the least. My next set of campaign missions are lvl 48 so I really should level them up to at least 44-45 to have good odds with each mission and ideally to level 48.. but it's going to take weeks getting only 400-500 XP per mission every half day.

I've managed to build a stable of four companions. The highest two are level 43 and the lowest is 13. My troops are level 42.
So far I've used just one companion for each mission and included four troops. I'm Night Fae. I put my companion in the top center, two Ardenweald Grovetenders in the right two spots and two Ardenweald Trappers in the left two spots. Before submitting a mission, I multiply my total team Health by my team Attack, then divide by the two values for the enemy team to generate a victory ratio. If the ratio is greater than 1.0, then I

fail. I built a spreadsheet to do the calculations for me. I have the data for my companions in it and update that data when they level. For each mission, I enter the data for the opponent. It then shows the ratio for each of my companion teams (one companion and two each of the troops). I'd rather see that info right on the command table so I don't have to bother, but I don't and the spreadsheet saves me a lot of time.
The closer to 1.0 your victory ratio is determines how much damage your companion suffers. When companions are heavily damaged, I send them on low-level missions with a large victory ratio and my Ardenweald Grovetenders heal them.
When I get a new companion, it seems easy to raise their level quickly. I got the (now) level-13 companion two days ago. Using four level-42 troops with the new ones makes it so the companions' levels don't hurt much. I think my latest was promoted to level 9 after the first mission. I think it took only two or three missions to get to level 13.
For Niya (my first companion), I apply a 20% boost to my troops' attack when calculating the victory ratio. The 20% boost she gives to adjacent allies is why I started putting companions in the top-center spot so that she is adjacent to all the troops.
I suppose I could be more judicious in placing my people than using the simple method I've developed, but the number of combinations is so large that it's just not worth the effort. The system works. I've failed only once and that was because I slightly violated the 1.0-ratio rule to see what would happen. Maybe I could do higher-level missions if I did put more effort into it, but...meh. I should also try including multiple companions on missions. Experiments early on when I had just Niya and Kota didn't seem to help much when using both and I could do twice as many missions when splitting them.
Edit: Just after writing the above, a successful advancement mission with Niya completed and my entire top row,
including
Niya, died. It had a victory ratio of 1.006, so that shows how realistic the victory ratio is. Even though her health is now just 8, I'm going to send her on a low-level anima mission with a victory ratio of 25 to see if she recovers during the mission. If she dies again, I'll let her sit out a half day to recover what I think will be about half her health. That victory ratio of 25 included using her 8 health. If I used her full health in the calculation it would have been 32.
Edit Update: When I checked in on Niya after her successful low-level, anima mission she hadn't died and had 40% of her maximum health. I don't know exactly when the mission ended, so I'm sure part of that recovery was after the mission. Anyway, don't worry too much about using a nearly dead companion on low-level missions as long as the victory ratio is fine.

So I have looked through it and cannot find the answer I am looking for. How many Chapters/Campaigns are there for table missions? I have completed 20 of them with no new offered ones in a week now.
My companions are in their 40+ levels and my Troops are level 37.
For my last 4 campaign levels(chapters) I was awarded a new mount each time. But since then, no further campaign missions have been offered. Is 20 the cap?

My advice is to have a night fae be your table "leveler" to get to 60 with, and never touch the campaign missions on any other characters because the rewards you get at higher levels are not at all proportional to the difficulty increase.
A Level 20 soul ash mission gives you 120 soul ash. A level 40 soul ash mission gives you 130. Not 240.
So my alt characters who have never touched the campaign missions are breezing through a dozen missions a day with a tank to soak the damage and 10 times the net reward of my alt who made the mistake of continuing the campaign. I'm lucky he was night fae.
Also, the rightmost positions in both rows are the ones least likely to take damage on average, because the attacks that aren't randomized tend to go left to right or farthest (which is usually second row). So in Catch the Anima Smugglers, if you have characters in top center and bottom right who live through the fight, the top right character takes no damage at all.

At this time my followers are 51 x13, 50, 50, 49, and 48 posting as much as 3-4 times a day and up to 15 missions at the same time. which does give a tons of crafting mats, gold, and anima.
just was able to complete the next upgrade mission of level 48(17,500 opponent health) but for a Venthyr that took a team of 51's with a 13turn/13turn(50/50 chance) lleveling at this point can take more then a week to gain the experience and i can only imagine that will get worse.

I wanted to point out two things in regards to Kyrian companions. You have Kythekios listed under both Renown & Torghast companions when it should only be under Torghast. Also, for those or you looking for Nemea or Pelodis, you can only have one of them. Nemea comes with choosing Larion and Pelodis comes with choosing Phalynx from the Pride or Unit quest. You cannot have both companions on the same character

Venture Plan Dev got bored of the game and quit. Will no longer be updating his addons for the foreseeable future. Sadly his addon was the only thing making the mission table kinda fun for me. It not having a baked in success chance like previous expansions is kind of annoying. It was nicer when the counters and success chances were easy to read. I main Venthyr too which from what im noticing is the worst of the mission tables

The article stated "The level of your Troops is the median level of your Companions." This simply is not true.
In my Night Fae covenant, my companions are the following levels: 47, 47, 43, 35, 25, 11, 10, 9, 3. My troops are level 43. The mean and median of my companion levels are 25.6 and 25.
In my Kyrian covenant, my companions are the following levels: 25, 25, 24, 23, 23, 20, 20, 17, 10. My troops are level 22. The mean and median of my companion levels are 20.8 and 23.
I really would be nice to know the
actual
way the troop levels are calculated so I could work on the things that will increase their level.

There are two Torghast companions that are missing from the 9.1 updates section:

Both of these are related to Ardenweald and the character I obtained them on is part of the Night Fae covenant. It's therefore likely that there are two more companions for each of the other three covenants.

Au'dara sells a timebound Ruminations for those suffering from companion gaps. It cost 10k Anima but raises a chap to level 30 which can help even out your mission success chance and get you back on track.

For anyone relying on Venture Plan, you've probably noticed that updates didn't happen for Chains of Domination. For those who haven't found it yet, updates for these were added in an addon for the addon:

Hopefully this can help anyone else like me who enjoys knowing the odds for the missions, and who misses what was simply built into Legion and BFA. I am extremely thankful for the people who put in the effort for all of this.

I found a great addon that works for me called TLDR Missions located here

and is easy to use. It doesn't show the success that I've noticed but since I've been using it I've hardly had any missions to fail and you can choose the missions you want it to do and ignore ones you don't want to do. I just wish I could find one that shows you your missing companions and where to get them like the one from WoD did, it was nice. I hope this is helpful at least! The website does say it tries to send out missions that are guaranteed success but I have had a few that did fail, but that may have been because of how I had them setup in the options to send companions on failed missions for experience. Check it out!

Does anyone know if the mount rewards are the same 4 mounts for each covenant? I already got them on my Night Fae but haven't leveled up my tables on all my alts in the other covenants and was just wondering if they were the same across the board. Thanks!

For those who have been working the command table, and have come across comments along the lines of "Troop's level is the average of your companions", please note that this is incorrect.
The troops level is the average of the
top 7
of your companions.
But, how does this help, well....
1. Firstly, once your troops reach a particular level, they'll never go down in level for that covenant...
2. If you do not have troops at level 60 in one covenant and swap to another, that other covenants troops will start at 1...
3. If however you get your troops to level 60 in one covenant, if you swap to another covenant, then they will start at level 60 in that other covenant...
4. So if you want to build up in multiple covenants, the most efficient way to do it if you have an existing command table is to get your top 7 companions to level 60...
5. If you get a new toon to level 60 and am starting a command table,
ONLY GET THE FIRST COMPANION
and then use the Wisps of Memory plus other companion XP boosters to get that first companion to level 60. This will boost your troops to level 60 for that covenant,
AND
the other covenants! It also makes running missions
sooooo
much easier!
NOTE: This swapping of covenants
ONLY
works if you have
NOT
yet started a command table in the new covenant! The level of the troops will
ONLY
be 60 if you
ALREADY
have level 60 troops in a covenant!
ADDENDUM: They appear to have changed the mechanism as I just tested it with a new toon. You no longer get level 60 troops in the new covenant, so it's even more important to make sure that you power level just 1 companion to level 60
BEFORE
you get any other companions, or else you'll be making levelling troops orders of magnitude slower.
ADDENDUM 2 : I've tested with another toon, where I didn't trigger a covenant until I'd gotten troops to 60 in a first covenant, but it made no difference. The troops in any new covenant now start at level 1, regardless of whether you've gotten them to 60 in a previous covenant. Keep in mind that there are companions that follow you across covenants, so you're going to want to get them to 60 before swapping.

Mission table gold rewards (aka the free money printer) has now nerfed down to about 7% of their former value even if the mission was already in progress. I'm seeing 25g rewards today where it promised 350g yesterday. It's a shame I was so late to learn about these and never got to make my millions over the course of the whole expansion, but I did get a few weeks of easy cash!

For ALTS using the Broker of Distinction from Oribos. When you leave Oribos and get to the Covenant you settled on, go to the reservoir sanctum (e.g. downstairs in Heart of the Forest, Zayhad the Builder, Sanctum Upgrades, Night Fae) and spend Anima on the Command Table (3rd option in Night Fae) you only need level 1 to get the table happening but it's 1 x HOUR to finish the build. Then the table should be available wherever the table is located. (outside for Night Fae). I hope this helps!
