ALL THE THINGS is a World of Warcraft add-on that will help you collect, well, all the things. Instead of having to navigate through multiple panes to track different aspects of your collection (pets, illusions, collected transmogrification items and sets, toys, etc.), ALL THE THINGS tracks everything in one contained window.
Installation
ALL THE THINGS can be downloaded from CurseForge (
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/all-the-things
) or from the Twitch app. Just put it in your add-on folder (example pictured) and you should be good to go!
The work-in-progress version is also available on GitHub (
https://github.com/DFortun81/AllTheThings
) – it has some partially implemented upcoming functionality, but will also probably wreck your overall percent collected, so install this version with caution!
What You'll See
There are two central lists displayed by ATT. These can be freely moved around the screen, resized, and closed. We suggest that you SHIFT+CLICK the “ALL THE THINGS” header to force a refresh of your collection when you first install. It’s also a good idea to do this fairly regularly, especially if you’re having issues with items showing as uncollected when you know you have them. Sometimes Blizzard doesn’t autorefresh your collection, which causes issues with tracking.
The list on the left is the current zone minilist, which displays everything you need to collect from your current location. In this example, I’m in my Priest order hall and have everything collected, so it tells me I’m 100% done here and can move on. If you close this list and want to see it again, type /att mini to bring it back up.
The list on the right is the overall ATT list. Each of the categories (Dungeons & Raids, Outdoor Zones, etc.) can be expanded with a left-click. We’ll go more into detail later, but you can open sections and navigate to specific subsections to figure out what you need to collect from anywhere in the game. If you close this list and want to see it again, you can left-click the minimap button or type /att to bring it back up.
Configuration Options
Next, let’s talk about how you want ATT to track your collection. You can open this menu by right-clicking the minimap icon or the “ALL THE THINGS” header at the top of the main list (you can open the list with /att if you’ve disabled the minimap icon).
There are three main options for overall transmog tracking, which I’ll explain using the example of class-locked tier sets vs. lookalike sets that can be worn by any class:
Completionist mode = I want to collect every version of every appearance. This means you want to collect tier versions of items in addition to their lookalikes.
Unique mode (uncheck “Completionist”) = I want to collect only one version of every appearance; I don’t care about collecting every single one. This means that if you get a lookalike item, it will check off the tier appearance. It does not do the same in reverse! This option checks for an item that can be equipped without restrictions, so a class-locked tier piece will not check off a lookalike item that isn’t class-locked.
I only care about my main = I only care about appearances this character can collect. This means that if you get a tier item for your main, you don’t want ATT to remind you to collect lookalike versions usable by other classes.
If you enable “Debug mode,” it will ignore all the filters you have set (we’ll go over filters next). In short, it will show you every item you can get on every class, including unobtainable/legacy sections. This option is mostly used behind the scenes to help figure out where issues may be stemming from, but if you’re trying to build up your overall collection across all your characters, toggling it on can be a quick way to see what classes you might want to run in an instance or which armor types you still need to do quests on in a particular zone.
There are other general options here as well – you can turn fanfare or loot spec icons off here, turn off the minimap icon or automatic display of the minilist, or you can brave the “Only show personal loot” option. The “Personal loot” option may be less relevant in BfA, but for now you can use it in dungeons and LFR to see what you can win on your current character. It’s very slow, potentially buggy, and may need to be toggled off and on a few times to work – use with caution!
Account Filters
Basic Options & Seasonal
Descriptions of what checking these options does:
Filter groups by level = Only show things I can collect at my level. This may not currently be the most accurate, as many things that were level-tagged were changed with 7.3.5. If you’re playing on a 110, it’s probably not relevant to you.
Filter by known professions = Only show me profession items I can collect on this character. If this is unchecked, you will be able to see recipes you can pick up for your alts with other professions, but you will also see quests you can’t complete on your current character and BoP recipes for professions you don’t have.
Filter items by race/class = Don’t show me things my race/class can’t collect. This includes faction-specific quests, items, etc.
Hide BoE items = Pretty self-explanatory!
Ignore all filters for BoE/BoA items = Show me all BoE items, regardless of whether or not I can equip them on my current class.
Seasonal filters = Don’t show me items I can only collect during seasonal events/world events. Personally, I always have these filtered out, and only unfilter them during the actual event.
Unobtainable
This section is largely for filtering content we deem unobtainable – it’s separated into No Chance, Possible Chance, High Chance, and Legacy.
No chance – this section is for things that were never implemented in the game, things that aren’t transmoggable (fishing poles, invisible items), promotional events that have come and gone, etc. There’s no way you’ll get these things now unless Blizzard decides to introduce them somehow.
Possible chance – old recipes that you can still use if you learned them, collector’s editions you could still obtain, BlizzCon rewards, and Gladiator rewards.
High chance – removed BoE items you could buy from players on the Auction House, things available on the Black Market Auction House, old dungeon items that require players to have summoning items, and in-game store items (filterable for those who oppose microtransactions). These things are all obtainable if you have money (in-game or IRL) or, in the case of dungeon summoning items, know people who’ve played the game for a long time.
Legacy – Content that was removed in one of the numerous revamps to the game. If you’ve played for a long enough time, you could still have some of these quest rewards or boss drops.
Mini List
This is where you can configure the display of the minilist. These are the options I run with on my main, and you can see the main ATT list on the right as an interactive example of how checking/unchecking options changes things.
“Show collected things” will display all collected things with blue checkmarks next to them.
“Show completed groups” will display completed sections, like entire instances or bosses within a dungeon. In this screenshot, you can see I’ve completed Molten Core and also that I’ve collected 100% of the items I need from BWL zone drops as well as Vaelastrasz the Corrupt and Broodlord Lashlayer.
Here you can see what Molten Core looks like with both “Show completed groups” and “Show collected things” enabled. 100% across the board!
Now let’s look at the questing options. ATT automatically tracks quests that reward collectibles, but doesn’t show you other quests unless you ask it to. In this screenshot, you can see I never did “The Karnitol Shipwreck” quest and still need an appearance from it on my Priest. However, that’s probably not the only quest I haven’t done in Desolace.
We’ll go over more about questlines and quest tracking in a little bit, but after turning on “Show incomplete quests” you can see that I actually haven’t done 5 quests in Desolace. “Treat as collectible” makes it so that non-daily quests act like collectible things, which helps give a more accurate % when you’re questing through a zone on an alt or for Loremaster.
Enabling ATT tooltip information can help you determine where things come from, what you need, and where tracking issues arise. These options also help us diagnose issues reported on our Discord (
https://discordapp.com/invite/8ZrDBAV
). Uncheck “Display in combat” if you want to get higher performance in raids, and please uncheck “Only show relevant” if you’re reporting an issue to us, because it really helps us out!
ATT Functionality
Quest Tracking
It isn’t implemented fully yet, but in many zones you can now right-click a quest in the ATT minilist to pop out a list of its prerequisite quests. For the Desolace quest example earlier, it looks like I still need to finish one more prerequisite quest before I can pick up the last “The Karnitol Shipwreck” quest (there are 3 quests with the same name and different quest IDs, and I’ve only done 1 out of the 3).
There is a pinned list of zones where this is implemented on the ATT Discord server (
https://discordapp.com/invite/8ZrDBAV
), or you can check our release notes to see which zones have been added.
Viewing Shared Appearances
Hovering over an item will display its shared appearances. Here you can see the source for Karnitol’s Leftover Robe (ATT -> Zone -> Kalimdor -> Desolace -> Quests -> ), but you can’t tell where its shared appearances come from. If you play on unique mode and only want to collect one appearance, or if you’re searching for the final piece for a transmog set, you may want to determine which is the easiest appearance for you to get, and would want to see sources for the shared appearances to figure it out quickly.
Right-clicking Karnitol’s Leftover Robe will pop out a list of the item's shared appearances. You can now hover over each one to see where they come from! (In this example, I already have its 4 shared appearances, so I had to enable “Show collected things” in the minilist options to view them.)
You can CTRL+CLICK on the minilist headers to expand or close groups quickly. In this example, #1 has all groups expanded, and Ctrl+clicking on “Trial of the Champion” header closed all the groups in #2.
If you have Auctionator, you can use ALL THE THINGS to search for BoEs you need to collect. Navigate to the appropriate section in ATT, scroll through all the items to cache them, and SHIFT+CLICK the header to search. You can also use TSM!
ATT Commands
/att – opens the main ATT list
/att main – does the same as the above
/att mini – opens the minilist for your current zone
/att list – displays a list of your saved settings profile names in chat
/att load
/att save
/att delete
/att – opens the shared appearances list for the linked item
/att itemid: – does the same as the above
/attnote – creates a custom note for your current zone, visible at the very bottom when you hover over the header.
/attnote clear – removes the custom note from your current zone
Upcoming Functionality
We’re currently working on fully implementing questlines in all zones, recipe collection for professions, and improving functionality with regards to finding uncollected items on the Auction House, along with other ideas waiting on our to-do list!

Just making sure I understand this correctly: unless I go through and craft hundreds of engineering/mining/cooking recipes I will not have credit for anything listed under professions? I'm also confused as to why my profession tab is showing me blacksmithing progress when I have only ever had engineering/mining on my main.

Does it have an option to put tom-tom marks on the map for the rares/npcs/etc? I couldn't find it. If it don't, I'd suggest to add it in a future version. Other than that, it's just what I was looking for my collector needs. Thank you so much for your work!

It's pretty decent. It doesn't always track everything correctly. Like for example, Black Temple isn't 100% for me because its listing Tier 5 look-alike PVP set as a potential drop from the Tier 6 tokens. But considering the amount of items/places that this addon keeps track of, a hiccup or two is to be expected. A manual blacklist/hide option would've been pretty nifty. Like Modificer+Click on a group/item in the list to remove it. (unless there already is one and Ive just missed it)
The interface is a wee bit of a mess as well, but otherwise this is probably the best addon for collectors.

How can I know the location of the right mob or "things"? Didn't find a way to use it with Tomtom or Handynotes. Are there plans to add compatibility with them?

I have a question, i have been trying to figure out how to stop ATT from showing 3 classic recipes from showing up whenever i go under cooking those being lean wolf steak lean venison and dig rat stew.
It says that the source of the item has been removed but the item is BOE or a cageable pet. Does that mean in theory someone could put it on the AH for me to buy or am i missing how to deactivate it. Because i have unattainable items and no chance items filtered out.

As a completionist I've installed this addon a couple months ago and LOVED :-) I have only one toon since 2004 when I start playing WoW which is a Druid and therefore a leather user (I have a couple other toons but to act as Bank only). A couple days ago and I don't know what happen..maybe I mess with something or it's a another addon that is conflicting with ATT but when I mouse over Bosses the tooltip is showing all kind of gear I don't have including the ones that is not for my class such as Plate, Mail and even weapons like Bows, Swords, etc. it's showing. In the Tooltip Tab of the ATT Interface/Settings the only thing I've unchecked is the "Show Relevant" and everything else is checked. Thanks in advance and congratulations for your mod. It's really awesome :-)

Great addon. my only dislike is that you cant manually select items. IE quests. 99% in thousand needles because I didn't pick up a breadcrumb quest. if only there was a way to mark it, or remove it

Love the addon :) i have collected so much more since i installed it several month ago.
But i have two things that still annoy me:
1. it sometimes shows recipes that i already learned as not collected in the zone minilist
2. i would like to be able to untrack specific items individually

Is there a way to remove Single Items? I got a lot removed with all those Filters that is not necessary or i dont want to track. But there are still quite some Items that dont need to be in the List and i would like to remove them.

After playing WoW for half of year now this addon already became one of the main reasons I play the game, I honestly can't imagine what I would do without it.
P.S. Is it possible now or will be in future versions to disable Zone Drop items from dungeon/raid lists?

Quick mention about 8.1.5 brawlers transmog + tabard is not in the addon.. the addon tells me to notify on the discord, yet the discord invite is out of date! Hope someone reads this, and can fix it.

I just want to say thanks for the tip on the "Shift+Click" on the icon. That helped so much! Somehow, all of my addons reset, including ATT. It would display things that I had already collected and, for the life of me, I could not figure out how to correct the issue. This was very frustrating as I am on a very long journey to collect transmog appearances from quests. This little tip helped out, so I appreciate it very much!

Is there any way that I can see on the list (or Mini list) the currencies, and the items I can still buy from those?
For example pet charms, Seafarer's Dubloons, etc.

I'm becoming addicted to this addon. :) I've always had to track this stuff by hand, and now having an addon that does it for me... amazing! It isn't the most intuitive, but that's what guides like this are for. Thank you so much!

First off, AWESOME add-on! Thank you so much Crieve for making it!
I do have a question though (and hopefully not a stupid one lol). Is there a way to disable or untrack the "Alliance/Horde only" achievements? I mainly play Horde, and am really not interested in doing the Alliance stuff...but the ' only' things are kinda cluttering up my list.
Please tell me there's a way to pare it down? Lol
Thanks!

To me the mention of this option
Filter groups by level = Only show things I can collect at my level. This may not currently be the most accurate, as many things that were level-tagged were changed with 7.3.5. If you’re playing on a 110, it’s probably not relevant to you.
was the most useful because it made me think maybe if i disable that ATT will work properly again. Because with that option turned on july 21.07.2020 it didn't show stuff that was relevant and obtainable for me on my dk in utgarde keep for example and other places. So if you are in a dungeon and are getting the wrong results in the mini list then uncheck the option filter groups by level.

I’m addicted to this addon. I do have a question…how do I turn off the icons in the world map? If they are on top of something else, you only see the att description. For example, if I mouseover a dungeon entrance but there is an att icon over it, instead of seeing the dungeon tooltip, I only see the att tooltip.

As the Discord invite is invalid, I decided to post that here.
I'm having "collected" issue with this addon.
On my main character it correctly indicates the items I collected - in case of bind on pickup, once I picked them up; in case of other items, once I put them on my character.
Unfortunately, on other characters it is not always the case. If the item is bop/boe, it will register as collected, but sometimes regular items won't be marked as collected no matter what.
I tried importing the profile from main character to others, but it did not fix the issue. Any ideas?
