I'll be honest.... the most Epic Loot I ever got wasn't loot at all... It was actually a complete wipe lol... But the story rocks.I had just joined a new Guild <LEGION OF THE SKULL> and, after they aided me on my epic quest to gain my Charger Mount, which I was very happy they did, I went with them for my first foray into Molten Core. Now when I say first foray, I don't mean for that character, I don't mean for that server. I mean ever. I had been playing WoW on and off for 3 years, and this was my FIRST run into Molten Core! Now mind you, I the lowest leveled character (level 61) at the time, and the group consisted of almost all 70s except for myself, and a Druid of 63rd level who was running this, like me, for the first time. We entered Molten Core, not knowing what to expect, or at least I didn't know what to expect. And, after fighting off elementals, giants and other nasty things, we came to the room I now call... The Room of DestinyWhy you ask? Because the Room of Destiny was the site the of one of the most epic stands in WoW history! We entered the room and the Raid Leader sent a raid warning /rw When the Core Hounds drop, keep hitting them or they'll get back up!We all nodded, and when the ready check came through, I and the Druid both checked ready. Now, mind you neither of us were ready for the hellish events that were to follow this ready check as the 70s ran in, followed by myself, as one of the Off-Tanks. You see, my Paladin was Protection Speced, still is, and he felt confidant that he could take anything that came his way.I knew things were going bad the moment someone dropped a group, and moved onto the next one. I have no idea what that person was thinking, but I thank them as they started a chain reaction that would lead to a memory that's forever ingrained on my persona. We continued to fight, most of us unaware of the first person's mistake, and when the 70s started dropping like flies, most of the others panicked.I know what you're saying right now... "Oh, this is a story about how you Bubbled and Hearthed little Paladin?" Well you'd be wrong. I stood my ground, because I had a group to protect, and they were right behind he keeping me buff and healed. Now, while this was happening, the rest of the group wiped, except myself, and this Druid named Firedemon. But I stood my ground, not giving an inch. I heaped myself in aggro, soon the entire room was upon me, snarling, biting, blasting, raking. Trying to take my pound of flesh. Soon, I began realizing just how long I had stayed up. It was going on 15 minutes since we entered the room and I was still dropping them and keeping myself aggroed. The druid was doing an incredible heal job on me, and I felt that maybe, just maybe we could win this. The battle raged, 20 minutes! 30! Soon I realized that this was a complete stalemate. There was no way that I was going to defeat the Core Hounds, and, with the Druid keeping me alive, there was no way I could be brought low! I just kept pecking away at them, always attempting to completely destroy the dead ones before they rekindled, but it didn't work... I wasn't a damage maven, I was a protection. I kept damage away, I didn't deal it with any certainty. 45 minutes later, the Aggro turned from me, and nothing I did got it back, not even Righteous Fury... because I could not find my friend to cast it for. Soon, the Druid, despite my best efforts to keep him and myself healed, failed. He fell to the Core Hounds and their dripping molten maws turned back to me, who now stood without a reliable healer. They came at me in the drove they had formed, though it looked like only 6 were attacking me, it was in actuality several groups. I fought valiantly, and lasted another 10 minutes through Bubbles, Hands, Flashes of Light and Holy Lights. Keeping up Blessing of Light and Judgment of Wisdom up as best I could kept me going, as did Blessing of Sanctuary. But in the end, at the 55 minute mark, I too, succumbed to their maddened frenzy of death and molten destruction. We tried twice more to go through the Core, and though we defeated the Hounds, we ultimately failed to complete the core. I know what you're saying now "You're kidding right? That's not epic loot! Boo! hiss! Kill him!" Well... before you kill me remember this. What's more epic? Loot, or the fact that a lowly 61 Paladin and 63 Druid outlasted an entire raid of 70s. The latter my friend... the latter.
I think I have two of them to speak of. Both on my priest. First off, I'm a pretty casual WoWer. When I started playing, it was some 8 months or so before BC came out. 40-man raids were the big thing, and Naxx was the ultimate prize. Myself, and 5 others or so all started at the same time...We never made it to any of the raids in Vanilla WoW. Never really tried to. The firs epic I ever had was http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=14154 (Truefaith Vestmants) Gathering the mats was something that was exceedingly painful for me at the time, and equally expensive. When it was done though, man I felt like I was the king of the world. I...HAD...AN...EPIC! Moving into BC, that robe was replaced of course. I went Shadow, and began raiding for the first time once I got to 70 and put together my shadoweave set. Ended up getting up to the Eye before I needed to pull out of the raiding scene simply from schedule conflicts. But, the one time I was really excited about a drop was http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=28770 Natherizm's Mindblade - when it dropped off of Prince. For the most part, I had free reign on the loot to that point (We didn't have warlocks running with us at the time, so the neck piece and such were mine by default), but this mind blade a bunch of us wanted. I won the roll, and I was truly happy about it :). ...of course, as Karma would have it, that's probably the only thing that ever dropped for me that I really /needed. Was worth it :).
The most epic piece of gear I'd ever gotten on my Warlock has to be his Tiny Emerald Whelpling pet. I honestly can't tell you how many times I had killed those little Dreaming Whelps, but according to my mob info kill count (because I eventually turned it off after deciding I really didn't want to know how many times I had killed them) it was over 1500 kills by the time I turned off the addon. Spent around 3 weeks total in farming in because my luck as usual is incredibly poor.

Easily, without a shadow of a doubt, Lurky. I mean Blizzcon was amazing... but please... have you heard the noise he makes! Cute alert tbh.
My most epic loot? I would have to say my most epic loot would be the Illusionary Rod from the end of the Scarlet Monastery instance. Why you ask? It is a long story that I would be glad to share. As I logged into my account after work one day...which would be in the morning because I work nights...I logged in to my night elf druid and saw that my friend Baltastus was online. Amongst our talking he showed me a nifty rod he had recieved from running the Scarlet Monastery instance the night before...you guessed it the Illusionary Rod. So after inspecting his rod (not that one -.-) I decided it was...how do I put it....Magically Delicious! for the level I was at. So after finally finding a high enough level guild mate to help me on my way to obtaining my item that I so hungrily craved, Baltastus and I decided to head to SM to wait for our guild member Starcrest to join us. While waiting for what seemed like days for her to arrive, a very nice person on their way to the instance decided to throw an item named "Heavy Leather Ball" at me. Without stopping for me to say thank you the player was gone. After figuring out what it did Baltastus and I put it to good use and played catch until the cover of the ball was well worn down and we had been killed by a passing horde group on their way to the instance. =( Never can escape them....After our eyes were bloodshot from staring at the screen, Starcrest arrived and we entered the instance with our sore throwing arms and hurt pride from giving away more honor points to the horde. After taking in the awe of watching Starcrest demolish every creature in the instance we examined our bags full of wonderful loot and to my extreme disappointment....no staff...so we tried again...yet again no staff....(15 more runs later, after being awake for a full 30 hours total counting work the night before, and a rather large mound of empty mountain dew cans and two cheeze its boxes) the Illusionary Rod was finally in my possession! The mound of cans was immediately sent flying across the room as I knocked over my chair and began my celebratory dance. Unfortunately starcrest is yet to take me to another instance now but I have conquered many a quest and downed countless foe's with the magical goodie my heart desired as my wielded weapon of choice! =D
I miss my Staff of Dominance. >: The first epic I ever got.http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=18842#screenshots:id=44That's me~!
