While Legendaries cannot be put into the upgrader currently, datamining indicates what might happen when Legendaries are able to be upgraded.
Discounts Not Being Applied to Legendary Upgrades
Datamining indicates that even if your
Fyr'alath, o Demolidor de Sonhos
or
Nasz'uro, o Legado Desatado
were able to be put into the upgrader, there are some bugs:
Yesterday's global 50% Flightstone discount wouldn’t apply to it
This appears to have been hotfixed as of 10:00 PDT
The 50% Flightstone discount for having a higher weapon on your account doesn't apply
The 100% crest discount for having a higher weapon on your character doesn't apply
As this is datamining, this could be incorrect but it may be worth double checking the cost of your Legendary when you're able to upgrade it.
Legendary Upgrading Datamining
The Bullion'ed Awakened Items seem to be related to these three spells in the database.
ID: 360 is the 12 rank Awakened Bullion items
ID: 382 is the 14 rank Awakened Bullion items
ID: 405 is the 14 rank Legendary items
Global 50% Flightstone Discount
Until today at 10:00 AM PDT, the
50% Flightstone discount
was only applied to IDs 360 and 382. So even if you could upgrade your Legendary yesterday, you would be paying full Flightstone cost for all of them. Thankfully, this now seems to be fixed and should be discounted as well when players are actually able to upgrade Legendaries.
Crest and Flightstone Discount
Unfortunately, dataminining indicates that other upgrade discounts aren't being applied to the legendary weapons yet. There are two types of discounts from the upgrade system:
When a character on your
account
has a higher item level piece of gear in that slot, you get a 50% Flightstone discount.
When your
current
character has a higher item level piece of gear in that slot, you get a 100% Crest discount.
However, you'll notice something different about the ID: 405 row -- it's missing an ItemGroupIlvlScalingID entry. What is ItemGroupIlvlScalingID? Here's what it looks like in the database.
The Currency types listed are Flightstones and the 4 types of Crests and you'll see that each Currency has a "CostScaling" modifier. It's heavily assumed that this is the database that controls the discount when you have a higher item level piece on your account (Flag: 1) or on your character (Flag: 0). 50% cost on Flightstones and 0% cost on crests, as expected.
Because ID: 405 has ItemGroupIlvlScaling ID set to 0 instead of 5, this likely means that Legendary upgrades will cost the full Flightstones and Crests, even if you have a higher item level weapon on your account already. We can't 100% know for sure, but whenever the Legendaries are upgradable, make sure to check that at the very least the Crest discounts are being applied for levels that you already have obtained.
