With Mythic difficulty Castle Nathria opening this week, the race is on to see which guild will defeat Sire Denathrius and claim world first in Shadowlands! Complexity-Limit stands as the frontrunner, ready to defend their title after winning the race in Ny'alotha, though Limit, Pieces, and Blank will all be hosting their own Race to World First events with several streams and casters on both sides of the world.
While the previous Race to World First events have been large high production events featuring entire guilds raiding together from well established venues, the first tier of Shadowlands will be largely broadcast from home due to the current climate, but it will be no less large an event because of it! More guilds than ever before are getting involved with the Race to the World First in Castle Nathria, each bringing their own streams, team of casters, charity events, and more!
Wowhead Coverage
As usual, we will be providing our own coverage of the race, with frequent articles highlighting first kills, important objectives, and any surprises along the way! Wowhead is officially sponsoring Complexity Limit's event, but have also
partnered with BDGG
to create written and video guides for Mythic content as the tier goes on! As a part of our coverage, we'll be consolidating information from all across the web, all the different streams, as well as compositional information from Raider.io and WarcraftLogs, so be sure to check our recaps each day to see how the race progresses!

Complexity-Limit (NA)
Complexity-Limit stands as the frontrunner, ready to defend their title after winning the previous race in Ny'alotha, and will stream approximately 16 to 18 hours of live Race to World First content exclusively on the organization’s official Twitch channel each day as well as individual Twitch streams from Limit members including Maximum, Thdlock, Imfiredup, and Lightee. Limit's coverage will also be closed captioned for the hard of hearing. Six guild members will live streaming from Complexity’s headquarters, the GameStop Performance Center (GSPC), while many others streaming from their homes.

Big Dumb Golden Guardians (NA)
Formerly known as Big Dumb Guild, they joined the Golden Guardians family last June following a strong showing in Ny'alotha, coming in second place in the NA and 14th worldwide. BDGG has announced a different approach to their broadcast this tier, producing an "Old Hollywood" horror stylized event with custom art, machinima and skits galore. The event will be hosted on their
Twitch channel
by 17 different casters from around the world, starting on December 15th @ 7am PST. BDGG's coverage will also be closed captioned for the hard of hearing, the guild will also be sending all
donations toward AbleGamers
, and feature additional
casting by DesMephisto
.

Lazarus Imperative (NA)
Is coming in for their first Race to World First event, and while they may be relatively unknown, their leadership should be familiar to many world race veterans, having been founded by Riggnaros of Blood Legion fame.

Echo (EU)
Echo is a new guild making their debut with their first Race to World First event. Made up of several former Method players, they're no strangers to progression racing, but they're still coming in with a lot to prove, which they'll be doing with their own lineup of casters including Cayna, FatbossTV, MRGM, and more. Echo's coverage will also be closed captioned for the hard of hearing.

Method (EU)
Method will also be in attendance, recently rebuilt after their disastrous public fall out earlier this year. While previously pioneering publicized Race to World First events and holding the record for the most number of World Firsts in WoW history, they're now facing an uphill battle to prove they aren't just a shadow of their former self. Their
announcement trailer on youtube
is tempering expectations, using humor to downplay their level of involvement in this race compared to previous, but they still intend to compete in what they're calling their "Scuffed Race to World First but we're aiming for top 10".

Pieces (EU)
Pieces has now competed in several races, including a world first kill victory over Uu'nat in the Crucible of Storms. They will be streaming voice comms for the first time, and have a solid lineup of casters providing insights, analysis, and commentary, including mental health advocate
DesMephisto
.

Exorsus (EU)
Famed Russian guild Exorsus has also announced their event for the World Race, including interviews and giveaways. While their primary language is Russian, it may not all be available in other languages, but the guild has been a credit to the progression raiding scene since as far back as Ulduar during Wrath of the Lich King, making them well worth watching for sheer performance if nothing else.
Watch Exorsus event on December 16th
Aversion (EU-German)
The German guild Aversion has ranked in the top 10 for every raid since Crucible of Storms, and will also be streaming with their own lineup of casters, although their coverage is planned to be broadcast completely in German.

Raider.io
Raider.io has also announced their
Global Coverage of the Castle Nathria Race to World First (RWF)
event, headed up by Starym and WarriorSarri. While unaffiliated with any particular guild, the pair have provided coverage for Ensidia, Manaflask, and Method in the past, and will now be assisting Raider.io in keeping players updated on everything that happens live with coverage - including all of the live-streamed events, behind-the-scenes progression, and more. This will of course be in addition to the boss kills and progression trackers that the site normally provides.
Follow Raider.io's coverage starting December 15th
OTKnetwork
The One True King Organization, founded by twitch personalities Asmongold, Mizkif, Esfand, Rich Campbell, and Tips Out will similarly be covering the Race to World First with discussions and commentary, though also unaffiliated with any participating guild.
OTK's coverage begins on December 14th
Warcraft Radio
Warcraft Radio will also be continuing the same coverage they did for Ny'alotha, with daily recap videos and interviews to include a daily morning radio show called
Cutting Edge
at 8am EST daily. In it, they will help listeners catch up on the previous day's events - the live feed can be watched at
https://warcraftradio.com/live
, but is also available on iOS, Android, and Spotify - just search Warcraft Radio!

Of course, several other guilds who have not announced official events will still be competing in the race to world first, and if there's anything we've learned in these events it's that surprises do happen! Be sure to check out our coverage over the coming week, as we watch to find out who will become the first world champions in
