I really like that hunter sketch, looks like a glamour from FF14.
Too bad the in-game maps dont look like this. Very nice work.
Looks awesome. But the legend at the bottom provides for 5m+ population and urban areas. Which aren't used?
Very cool. It's a little weird that they use a cross for churches & shrines though.
What a wonder! I love those maps!
the maze of mountains that separate zones looks really goofy when put into actual map form.
It states on the EK map that the elevation numbers are listed in kilometers, which cannot possibly be right. If so, then Hyjal is almost 9 million feet high. In comparison, Mount Everest is a little over 29 thousand feet high. And if he meant meters, instead of kilometers, that puts Hyjal at 8900 feet (which seems quite low).
Very nice maps and well done on your efforts. Only question I have is for the population numbers I assume they are best guesses as I am not aware of lore sources that specify them? But great work.
About the kilometers: that was a major mistake I made, but only noticed it the next day :/ Obviously I meant Meters. This would put Hyjal at about the same height as Mt. Everest, which is not that low ^^ And thank you all for the feedback :)
Absolutely beautiful! The maps in wow shouldn't have to be so cartoony, this is a welcome change for sure.
Those maps are so tempting. I might have to make a splurge purchase soon. Definitely bookmarking his shop. I've had good luck with custom prints from Redbubble, they seem to use good quality materials.
These are great!
I like cartoony the reason why I like wow and not eso or ffix there art is too sharp there water looks awful ..and so does the grass ..and trees look really stiff....wow art is soft and flowy..which I like alot better sometimes I wish wow had a virtual reality optionoption so I could swim in there waters they look so amazing and the fish sharks orcas are awesomeness
As a person with cartographer ancestors, this amazing job fills me with joy. Would love to see another version with zone borders.
These are absolutely incredible and I have a mighty need for these to be on my wall! They look so professional and the attention to detail is incredible. Few mistakes (acknowledged already) but honestly, a project of this scale, you're going to get a hiccup here and there - does not detract from the accomplishment whatsoever and the overall brilliance of the maps is immense. Massive kudos, phenomenal work! :D
There's a blaring issue with this map.. it's labeled as a Map after the 4th war... however the areas around the ruins of Lordaeron are still labeled as if the Forsaken still have encampments there (high command and rear guard), but as of present time in lore the Forsaken soldiers and many civilians are gone, they fled to Kalimdor along with the Horde retreat after they plagued the capital.. Same goes with the Forsaken Front over by Gilneas, that's just a remnant left over from Cataclysm in-game but isn't actually there anymore in current lore.. Also the harbor icon is missing from Keel Harbor in Gilneas.. while it may not be a harbor that players can use freely to travel around Azeroth, it is still a harbor nonetheless as it has a dock, etc, and last had Night Elf ships docked to it when it was used to evacuate the Gilnean refugees.. it's no different than the Bilgewater harbor in Azshara, which does have the harbor icon on it, even though players cant use it to travel.
