"To accommodate this nerf, BFA stat scrolls were also nerfed slightly."Well its more than 50% xD so not that slightly...but i guess it must be done. As i watched some streams game looks, a bit harder to stay alive than lets say BFA. We cant be OP anymore
i dont know anyone who even wanted these maintenance buffs back in the first place. theyre just annoying to press in combat because people die and it doesnt add anything flavorful. and it locks your raid into bringing specific classes that you might not want just because of the stupid debuffs. classic exists for people who want this kind of stuff and if youre going to add it then just nerf it so badly just remove it again.
This means that you're losing less power when you are missing any one of these classes.
This seems like a fair change. Getting a monk or demon hunter always seemed like a lower priority than getting a warrior, priest, and mage when forming raid groups, so hopefully this brings some much needed attention to monks!
Wait... really? They're not giving every class a buff like prior to Legion?Honestly, I thought BfA really mishandled the buff situation. In MoP and WoD, every class brought one or two buffs, so it paid to bring a variety of classes. If you were missing one, another class could probably cover it, but you couldn't just stack one class. In Legion, nobody brought a buff.In BfA, only three classes bring a buff, so you HAD to bring those specific classes. It's just the worst of both worlds. This isn't really fixing it, it's just making the problem less significant. This is disappointing. I had really hoped that they had learned why this was a bad set up.
What is the point of buffing the raid now that it's only 5% increase? I see no point in them reducing that value.
I expected that buffs and debuffs would be provided by at least two classes. I wonder why it has been done this way, while BL or brez can be provided by three classes.
Well its still 5% so that's the point, like why wouldn't you buff even with the nerf?
I wonder if there will come a time where instead of nerfing, they instead buff other classes. I don't even main any of the classes listed but this approach to game development is detrimental. Instead of looking for something to nerf, look for something to add or buff. It's a positive vs Negative approach. Far less people will get mad that a monk gets a buff than having a good chunk of other classes being nerfed. You get far less anger and far more happiness.
Things are usually rebalanced around this kind of change, so it's not really a nerf if all encounters are balanced accordinly in the end game.
DH/Monk debuff is still insane and so noticeable when missing.
Constantly buffing is detrimental to the game as well. Balance is exactly that; give and take.
Please can we just ditch the DH and Monk buffs. They add nothing other than feeling bad when you are without them.
so now a piece of paper gives more stats (7%) than any experienced mage/war/priest champion(5%)? nice
even being half value, your raid really noticed the absence of a DH or a monk. Not so much with a mage or warrior. And If you overgear it wont miss priest at all because you shouldn't need +10% hp to live in this situation you just need to stop sucking and taking less unnecessary damage. With beta for azeroth scrolls being 3% weaker compared to shadowlands being 2% weaker its less punishing. We are pretty much staying the same "ilevel" this expansion more or less with the squish. This will just make sure the raid has a Monk and a DH at all times.
They really need to rethink the dh and monk debuffs. playing without the other 3 has always been whatever since you can use scrolls. you cannot play without a dh or monk (unless you run no melee then monk doesnt matter).
