For such a high profile character I would have liked a much better storyline.
The walls if water are nowhere near high enough. This is supposed to be the sea floor, not a shallow coastal region. They should be ten times taller.
Think this patch was a bust. More timegating. More Dailies (thought we were done with these expansions ago). More World Quests. More making prior gear useless. All the things players hate.Logged in for an hour to play. Hit a timegate wall. Now I wish I didn't resub.
In regards to the manipulation of Zul, was that ever confirmed as canon? If I'm not mistaken, that was only mentioned during a PTR quest that never made it to live.
Good read, apart from the obvious Alliance point of view.

I'm glad they noted Nathanos' lack of surprise at the ocean opening up. That was the first thing I thought of; he isn't surprised at all. Greymane, however, is caught completely off guard. Hey, if only they'd had an uber ocean mage with them to...oh wait.
I'd like to remind everyone that comments section under this post supposed to discuss the cinematic instead of in-game systems. Thanks.
While I reserve judgement until the story plays out to the end, I have to admit that I think they are doing much much better job with Azshara than they did with the start of expansion. In Uldir, we kinda on-the-trot rolled over yet another Old God, and one that clearly could have had connections to previous showings or incidents like Hakkar... particularly due to presence of the Zandalari. But they missed so many opportunities, both to interconnect the stories better, or even to properly emphasise our achievement. Would a few cameos hurt? They could have even brought the "old" Zandalari back to their island in STV, and allowed us to work on the rep again. Yes, not something most people would do, but why kill off content? Though thinking back... this old god business, that is becoming a trope. Just like roflstomping Yogg-Saron was an overtly short pastime while waiting to face the Lich King, roflstomping Ghuun was made an overtly short pastime while waiting to... well, we will see.
Thanks, we made a note about the dialogue! Still worth mentioning though as Lady Ashvane working with Azshara in Siege of Boralus was another cut plot point from the beta, that resurfaced later in an important way.
