They look nice, but the faces really are way too similar now. Just about all post-rework races have this issue.
Why are they so cartoony? It's kind of ridiculous... ruins the whole theme of the game
I almost couldn't tell the difference until I stared and realized they took the wrinkles away. I guess all WoW characters are in their 20's now?
I hope the female goblin chin is an issue with your renderer and not the way its going to look.
The female faces look really off. Head on they all look the same until you turn them slightly. Hoping they do some slight alterations to differentiate each a bit more before it hits live.
every single one of the female faces look exactly the same...
The game with a cartoonish look is too cartoony?Exactly, it's like playing with a Disney character. I still like playing Horde simply because the faces have/had character. they're angry and fierce. Not so much now, the Worgen look more like Lapdogs.
None of the girls are missing eyebrows on the old models. But the new models a bunch have missing eyebrows? Why is that? I thought they were just updating old faces.
Sameface syndrome (no room for squinted or slanted eyes, I guess?), faulty facial hair colouration (white chin on dark skin, lovely), outright removal of an eye colour (red), incorrect saturation (fluro pink vs. "normal" blue/brown instead of bright yellow and such), smudged lipstick, ridiculously proportioned lips, Ears 2 (guys) had the cut-out portion under the ear removed (personal dig)..$10 says this is what we're getting on release. People are so wrapped up in the Worgen (because the gals were broken on launch) that we're gonna wind up with another set of poorly handled models for the next ten years. ._.
Male goblins it terrible pleass Blizzard remake male goblins. They look like pumped botox.
All the girls have resting B**** face now. bummer :/
Female goblins are a little too deep in the uncanny valley for me
That’s due to them not displaying the facial animations. The old models look different because they didn’t have the same animation rig as the other models and thus the expressions were ‘painted’ on making them look different. If you zoom in you can see there are differences but it’s very subtle.
Shame that Goblins didn't quite get the 'glow up' that Worgen did. Which I understand, they needed a lot of rework and heavier details on the model has given fur and whatnot. However, they also got some new additional face models and variations- whereas Goblins it's just a revamp of all the old models. As others has said, there isn't as much facial variation between the male and female models. I get Goblins aren't a 'pretty' race, but maybe an option for a younger-looking male face with less heavy wrinkles? Maybe adjust the lip size a tiny bit (it's almost comical on some of the models) at least for a couple of faces. Not sure what's with Blizzard and giving most males from their races NO EYEBROWS, it works for some.. but why then do the females have eyebrows? Shouldn't Trolls (who have also evolved into elves) have prominent eyebrows? Why do female goblin have them but males don't? I wish this was a bit of an option - along with more facial hair for males. Honestly, a male goblin with a goatee would be fantastic - they do have five o'clock shadow -- why not fully commit with beard variations? The females look pretty decent, a lot less scary but they don't look much different from each other.I was hoping for some new hairstyles perhaps...?
You’re right, they do look a lot better in the model viewer. Still could use a little more variation I think but they’re way less creepy.
The lips NEED to be changed on the new female faces. Just... oof.
I had really hoped they would separate ears and piercings.
