About the questions in the survey:Barbershops: big YES. Been asking for them since the beginning of classic, not for special customizations, but because some races' hairs are badly designed and clip with a lot of helmets, which looks terrible. Most caster classes probably know what I'm saying. Also is a small gold sink that helps keep inflation away and doesn't affect gameplay in any way.About the survey in general:Blizzard seems to be looking a way to make Vanilla something that can be played forever, there is no much sense to keep playing today's Vanilla, how much time can people be playing the same content over and over? Maybe a small group of players do, but WoW is a game with a big world that needs a minimum number active players to keep that world alive.I believe that, in the end, we will end up having seasonal realms like diablo 3, with everything adjusted to fit a life cycle of 3 months.Personally, I wouldn't play a "fast paced" or seasonal version of WoW, I like the sense of character progression, which would be lost if it becomes something like Diablo 3.
Why do i never recieve these surveys? I really wan't to give blizzard my feedback on it, but i have never gotten a single survey from them. What are the requirements? or is it just random
Summoning Stones - Very Likely, there's no point to them in classic otherwise.Difficult Raid/Dungeons - Very LikelyIncrease Debuffs - Very LikelyBarbershop - Neither, it would be nice to have I guess.Faster XP - Very Likely (bc it's a fresh experience, people won't stay around if it takes too long, they want to have alts... also, bc boosting, no one will be able to play the harder dungeons.)No world buffs in raids - Very Unlikely. Just make the Chronoboon available from the beginning. And make WBs persist through death in PvE.BM AH - No, just no.Original AV - Sure, 24hr+ games!Increased rate of items - Yes, more items per boss kill, especially for 40 mans. Make very rare drops have a way to be obtained with time/effort rather than rng. (Yeah, F YOU Thunderfury....)Earn gold at faster rates - nope, it's fine. People already know how to get insane gold in classic.
I would like Blizzard to sponsor "Hardcore" Servers akin to the "Hardcore Challenge" made famous by Kargoz, (Death=delete, no trading or grouping etc)
I just wish Blizzard could go back in time and redo classic launch. My friends and I had a blast playing the game and then hit level 60 and realized that we were genuinely outnumbered 8 or 9 to 1 by the enemy faction. Completely ruined endgame. And it was all by dumb luck when they rolled out the wrong amount of servers and ours had a ton of our faction bail out when everyone was level 15-20ish. Completely soured me on classic to the point I can't even bring myself to play BC (because my only level 60 was on the wrong faction of a server Blizzard killed) even though BC is when I first played wow and I $%^&ing loved it back then
What vanity items would they add to a classic bmah? Only things I could think of are quest rewards removed before 1.12 and the old epic mounts
I’d be perfectly happy with all of these changes. If it keeps the game fresh and brings people in, it’s a good thing imo. I’d like to see specific challenges (say a 6 month league, 10x exp rates, 2x drops on endgame, pre nirf bosses, all content unlocked at 60). Kind of like a mini league.
Classic+ is dead dude. It's time to let it go.
why don't they just make it free to play as well
Without class design changes classic is still world of auto attack. None of these make your character interesting or fun to play.
Like poe? Standard and League. End of league, char moves to standard.
The answer, short, is no.This is obviously just my two cents, but a lot of these replies feel more like "Barbies Dream Classic WoW" than actually playing the game as it was released, which was-initially- part of the mystique and draw of the game. And whilst certain things were fixed, the game was-by and large- released in its original state...which quickly revealed just how colossally peoples tastes, and knowledge, have advanced. Naxx being cleared in less than an hour, wars erupting over world buffs, raidlogging, this all became the meta because Blizzard gave the community what it wanted: an unvarnished, (mostly) unchanged edition of the game they claimed to know inside out. And if most players were being honest, once you got past the honeymoon phase, Classic WoW was pretty dull: the excitement came from the community and the goings on in your realm, not the game itself. Unless your guild was absolutely braindead, all the raids were basically loot-vending exercises after a few weeks (barring the occasional 'difficult' encounter, which was largely an issue of gear and not not knowing the tactics) and levelling up was increasingly a chore, especially in the mid-30s bracket. There's a reason why boosting and gold-buying exploded massively.Fans love to navel-gaze and get dewy-eyed over Vanilla, but although the game was a success (and it was enjoyable, in its own way) it also proved once and for all that you can't go home again: the magic of running around what was at the time a groundbreaking achievement in gaming, of not knowing what was around ever corner, is looooooong gone and isn't coming back. And it doesn't really matter how much they change the displays in the windows: it's still the same shop, selling the same stuff, to the same people, except they got older and more knowledgeable. I recognise this sounds like I'm hating on the game, but I'm not. I expected Classic to be something I'd absolutely despise, and I've ended up sinking more hours into it now than I have the last two expansions in Retail. I've met some great people, had some amazing times and laughs, enjoyed the factional and server drama, and genuinely been pleasantly surprised at how I've reacted to the entire experiment. But it's only reinforced the fact that there's no returning to those days, and any attempt to make it happen, I don't think, will be successful. If it DOES happen, I won't be playing it. But if it does, I hope those that do enjoy it. Who knows? I've been proven wrong about Classic before.
FORCED personal loot, removal of any consumables in raids with the exception of mana pots.Otherwise it's going to be the same massive ^&*!up classic was, with black lotus bots, 150-200g flasks, 1000-1500g/night in Naxx, gdkp for everything leading to more botting, gold selling and gold buying - supplemented by the 1000 mages/realm boosting for gold, gold they then sell to gdkp buyers. The only way to deal with this...personal loot, no world buffs, no consumables.Anything else is a complete waste of time. Some balance wouldn't hurt either. Looking at 20 warriors in a Naxx raid with 1 druid brought for FF spam.I'm never going back to classic otherwise. That thing can rot. 315 herbalism (+enchant), one year and a half of never even seeing a yellow dot (black lotus) on the minimap and quitting raiding after clearing Naxx cause spending 1000/reset (on farm) was too much. But yeah, whatever, some people like those videos of people buying gressil for 35,000 gold. They probably farmed that gold in DM:E jump runs, guys.
Faster XP rates to levelNo. And no "Classic Pass" level boost either.BarbershopNo reason not to have it. No brainer. No world buffs in raidsYes, please fix the biggest problem the game has. Please.Increase debuff limit on raid bossesYes, on the condition that the next change I list below also gets added.More difficult raid bosses and dungeon encountersYes, the game is way too easy by today's standards.Black Market Auction House for vanity itemsI don't see a problem with this, but that also depends on what they mean by "vanity items".Original Alterac Valley designYes, it should of been that way from the start.Increased rate of item dropsSure, as long as it's only for quest items.Earn gold at faster ratesUhh, no? The amount of gold in the economy was already insane.Summoning stones at dungeon entrancesSure, just level restrict them, so they're not abused too hard.
Eeeexactly! Imagine the year long content drought between ToT and SoO:
I would really, really like Classic+ after WotLK. Like, take WotLK as base game (but restore the old Naxxramas and Onyxia too), and then build on top of that, just in a different direction than retail, because honestly, after playing retail since the end of vanilla, and then returning to TBC Classic after trying out Shadowlands for several months, I can confidently say that Classic's gameplay is more "engaging", as Blizzard calls it. And another reason I would like Classic+ is to have a branching story -- retail lore has felt like fanfiction since Cata. It did have some good stuff, like Pandaria -- I wanted to go to Pandaria since I encountered Chen Stormstout in Rexxar campaign in Warcraft 3: TFT, and Pandaria's aesthetics were better than Cata or anything that came after MoP -- but on the whole it's just either boring, or badly done, or doesn't feel like Warcraft, and is nowhere near the quality of Warcraft 3. I refuse to accept the argument that you can't make a compelling story in an MMO, there are quests in WoW that prove this wrong, like Legion campaigns. So I really hope they do Classic+ and go in a similar direction. And also finally give Alliance High elves with paladins, instead of awful Void elves.
Please Blizzard fix this.Let Horde players BG vs Horde players this is the best and easier solution to fix this problem.
