Wish they'd just add the updated models and put the WoD checkbox in for them that way the purists can still play and see their old models. That way I can play with a non 2004 tauren.
classic+ >>>>>>>
I ain't going back to classic Era unless they make bosses drop more loot. The many weeks between upgrades kinda killed it for me. TBCC so far seems better in this regard, but this is more because of the raid sizes, than the amount of dropped loot.
“Black Market Auction House”This smells so much like a justification for token implementation.
BDO has seasonal realms. If WoW's version functioned like them, with regular resets, it would also make stupid money. I'm sure they are going to offer some sorta service to players either going into seasons or coming out of seasons; transfer seasonal characters. TBC boosts, Tokens, or something along those lines. They're basically looking for ways to further monetize what they've already produced rather than producing something new.
As per usual, they probably sent them to their 55 loyal retail customers still playing.
Probably has something to do with people coming into TBC with thousands of gold making any kind of meaningful progression in p1 meaningless
i would have liked more work on retail instead of something that can wait for a week or two. But no lets work on bs instead of what actually pays the bills
I'm down for fresh vanilla realms. Harder content? Hell yes. No world buffs in raid? Hell yes. Summoning stones? No. Faster XP/gold rates? Hell no. Barbershop? Indifferent. Original AV? YES. Increased rate drops on items? No. Black Market AH? No. Increased debuff limit? Depends on tuning of content. Content cycle? 1.5 years.Edit: Fix dungeon boosting as well. Nerf mob xp gains if you have a high level in your group or something.
lol..AV 1.5 but not with AV 1.5's terrain.
I like No World Buffs and Original AV. Hard no to the others from me. Some I wouldn't even play if they added, like increased loot drops.
Here's my opinions:Dungeon entrance summoning stones: Yes, very much so. It will increase the number of people who are willing to do dungeons.More difficult dungeon and raid bosses: Dungeons, no. Raids...maybe. Dungeon bosses are difficult enough already. Raid bosses, particularly the earlier ones, could maybe use a boost, but not by much. Need to be very careful not to overdo it.Increased debuff limit: Neutral. It would probably make the game more fun but you'd lose part of the Classic essence. Also, if you did this, you'd definitely need to increase at least the health of raid bosses.Barber shop: Leaning yes on this one. As long as no new customization options are available anyway.Faster XP rates to level: No. I don't think Classic needs this and frankly it would take away part of what makes the game Classic. No world buffs in raids: Definitely need this. I'm not completely sure, but I highly doubt that the raids, even the later ones, were tuned with world buffs in mind. Plus, we've seen how unhealthy the world buff meta is.Phase release cadence: Personally I'd prefer 9-12 months for the full 6-phase cycle.Black Market Auction House for vanity items: I presume by "vanity items" they mean the trading card game loot card items that were available in vanilla and are completely unavailable on Classic. If so, I feel favorable on this one as long as the BMAH doesn't include anything else.Original Alterac Valley design: Definitely. I have fond memories of the original design and the current version choice in Classic is wanting.Increased item drop rates: I hope by this they mean dungeon and raid drops and not anything else. If so, I favor it for 40-man raid drops only. 2-4 items per boss per week split among 40 people is very low and the biggest problem is that you may never see some players' most sought-after items ever drop. 20-man raids have a shorter lockout so this in essence already gives them high loot drops per week. Dungeon drops, with the possible exception of UBRS, are fine the way they are. You'd also need to do this if the phase release cadence is accelerated from original Classic. People just wouldn't be able to gear up fast enough otherwise.Earn gold at faster rates: No. There isn't much point to this other than letting people get epic riding faster, and epic riding is supposed to be an achievement. Relative AH prices would just rise to meet the new rates and nothing would really change.
As someone who has joined in on a few seasons of Diablo 3, if this is a stepping stone to more of that? Then hell yes. Imagine a season that is like x3 talent points per level. Let's get weird with Classic.
