why would anyone be surprised about this? why would anyone even open a ticket for help with this?
Because it's stupid to lose currency in general from dying
This is ridiculous, there are so many bugs involving stygia, including the infinite death bug if you log out in the maw. Why are they so stubborn to refund it? It's an important currency for character progression, literally any other progression currency before they would reimburse if it was the fault of a bug.
"Working as intended" = "We can't be bothered to actually fix it"My years of interaction with WoW customer support can be summed up by the following: They'd rather spend an hour telling you why they wont or "cant" do something, than spend 30 seconds actually helping you.
I lost stygia due to an obvious bug. I reported the bug, and they told me it was "working as intended."Why open a ticket? I don't know, maybe for customer service? Why expect them to support their player base? Too busy giving their execs fat bonuses to care.
Historically, corpses have spawned at some point along the 'coast' when one falls into void. It goes against all previous well-established mechanics and just seems very clunky to me the way it is.
Disappointed but not surprised. I got yeeted off a cliff by a mechanic and ended up dying before I got back to the location anyway, but I didn't have much to lose at that point anyway. Just another reason to stay away from the maw.
what i DO think is that we need pvp immunity after death for somewhat longer. It is a bit unfair to be killed by a random rogue/monk - with literally nothing you can do against it, after losing 8k stygia to something you are not even aware of (mount puzzle runic displacement). Or chain-killed, for that matter.good riddance i found a dudu to ankh me, in my case. Else my hate towards blizzard would be... understandable.Oh, and not to forget respawn bugs like beastwarrens can rez you at venari, which is unreachable at eotj 5. (4.5k in the day i got revered rep so no way to dump it beforehand either)/rant, but.
Classic case of the Git Gud.He could of gotten his corpse & stygia backUse Borr-Geth's Fiery Brimstone (you have this toy if you even remotely care about lost stygia) > Goblin Glider > click corpse > land back on cliff, or alternative, have a summon pending (join random m+/raid if no lock friend) and accept after clicking corpse.
If we die in an "unreachable" location then we automatically resurrect at the nearby grave yard then why not implement such mechanics for stygia? If we are unable to reach our corpse then we shouldn't have lost stygia, or it should be near our corpse.
"We dont have the ability to restore any lost stygia back to the player" .......this is not true actually its just a simple GM macro >..> Strange that they want to turn this into working as intended,i once died at ardenweald cause i fell into the abyss :P and my body spawned at the edge of the area i fell so i could walk to it, as for people that say that this is a consequence for dying .........no, repair bills are! not this, this is a stupid bug.The dude lost 4k stygia .........dont wonder why people dont set foot at Maw anymore.
Then don't play in those zones if you are not intelligent or skilled enough to stay alive :) That's the game and if you don't like it then don't play the content you dislike, no one is forcing you to.
If the designers' intention was to create a mega hell environment that just sucks to play in then they've achieved it. I haven't been to the Maw for anything other than souls for months now. But then I seriously doubt their intentions are actually good.
This would require actually doing the Maw
