Really unfortunate. It was cool to try and discover runes like meta. But i kinda get it. It's too hard for WoW players here to play whole class not one spec. Just imagine going into raid as warlock dps. Their hands would fall off. Really sad how bad people can be at 20 years old game.
OK, now it's time to nerf Meta because it is seriously OP.
Doesnt matter much since we are the only tank that cant hold agro on more than 1 Enemy so we are practically a Joke. The cleave has such little agro build up if not everyone in a dungeon does ST on my target its a free for all. No clue why Meta doesnt give Immo aura so we also can tank well
It's quite funny to read all the comments here about how unacceptable and dumb it was to put the rune in a raid etc while Blizzard already acknowledged that you were right, that they made a mistake and that they are going to fix it. Way to beat a dead horse.
its unreal people say they dont wanna go to 4 separate 28+ elite areas on opposite sides of the map for a spec defining rune when shamans can literally get theirs at like level 12 and people response is StOp CrYiNg. how about they lock a strong awesome cd behind a bunch of bull^&*! and let you have the role defining rune early? why does it have to either be handed to you or you have to do an onxyia lvl quest chain to unlock it? To be frank i dont think most of the people saying stop crying even know what you have to do to get the meta run but there is a middle ground and i dont think it take much foresight to see this was a terrible idea. Not the mention their verison of "fixing" it is do put the elite mobs in groups of 4 outside the instance. for those of us who cant find a 5 man group will to spend 6 hours running all over the world for your one rune this is a major frustration. Especially since it was so heavily advertized as a core thing to SOD at blizzcon.
Feedback for devs to the future: Make it similarly difficult/annoying for everyone. Doesn't matter if it's gonna be easier or harder, but just stick to one kind of difficulty and make it equal for everyone. You simply cannot have a game where balance druid is able to finish his BiS runes in Mulgore (if we exclude Starsurge, because why bother with it when it's so underwhelming) and has game-changing and insanely convenient rune unlocked on lvl4, while tank warlock has to finish the whole first part of the game and go through a bunch BS in order to tank and has to wait ~3 months now to play it in the next phase. I also find it mindboggling that half of the players defend this rune acquisition and call those who complain names and keep sending them back to retail while they are also missing the point of why people are complaining. It feels incredibly surreal that this is the situation in SoD both from devs game-design and half of playerbase's opinion.
I am in disbelief at the amount of moaning here. Grown men who are 30 plus years old literally crying over one rune in a game. A game. Pathetic.
you can tell who in these comments were excited and hyped for warlock tanks only to have it locked behind a raid where you cant even get used to it, and those that werent. for those calling us "soft" or wanting "insta rewards" im sure if the glyph/spec they were excited for was the one locked behind a max level raid they would be changing their tune.
Guys, read patch notes:Players questing for “The Orb of Soran’ruk” will now find that The Twilight’s Hammer have invaded the shores of The Zoram Strand near Blackfathom Deeps. Developers’ notes: It wasn’t our original intent for discoveries to take you into raid instances. Now, the enemies needed for completion of a pre-requisite quest for a rune are both in the outdoor world and inside the raid.
Yeah "consume the new content THEN get the thing that is cool to use while consuming the already consumed content". I think that's fair criticism and y'all are weird for defending Blizzard on this. It's not even about the "rune being hard to get", it's just horrible timing in gameplay design. It's like getting the master sword after beating Ganondorf, doesn't make any sense. And for y'all who are saying "the rune is useful for future phases" bro I subscribed for this month, I want good gameplay design for this month. Yeah I may or may not sub in the next phase, but that "invest in next phase gameplay" argument is complete garbage.
