Yaaaay
For the Horde!
Imagine if loot drama still ensued.
imagine this beign done back in vanilla, they would become legends
Horde actually accomplished something cool? Brings a tear to my Orcish eye. <3
Our guild ended up having the main tank and healer duo her for 70% of the fight so almost the same. The other 38 of us all wiped and we just sat outside and waited forever. We were so bad.
So the current player base has surpassed Classic as a challenge? What use then?
Nice! Carried by Shaman mana regen... That music is a freaking nightmare.... who the hell listens to that autotuned abortionfest?
The f*** is all this arguing about classic raids being compared to retail mythic? As somone who actually did some mythic raiding before quitting retail, here's my breakdown:Mythic:- Usually bonus mechanics, sometimes extra phases or entirely different mechanics compared to heroic.- Bosses and their abilities hit harder than in heroic.- Some fights (obviously) have enrage timers or other forms of dps requirements, so they can't be solo'd.- What rextroy is doing is cheesing stuff with Last Defender, a prot paladin talent, and/or relying on self-heal and immunities to get through fights, but in all cases he's using some design oversight to solo those bosses.Classic 40's:- Really not that hard, bosses have about 3 "mechanics" (more like gimmics) on average.- Bosses hit REALLY hard, so there's a lot of healing required, and classic tanks don't have (a lot of) self heal.- Using a consumable in fight doesn't prohibit you from using a consumable of the same type (e.g. potions) in a fight, thus allowing healers to essentially never run OOM.- You have a LOT more consumables and minor buffs that you can use.So classic raiding is really just: "Ok, if everyone is avoiding that ONE mechanic that might wipe us (usually pulling aggro from tanks) and tanks and healers know what they're doing we can down every boss no problem."Whereas retail mythic is more like: "Ok guys, phase one DPS have to stack, heals have to use those specific 3 cooldowns, and tanks have to move in this very specific way. Also, if that mechanic starts,..." You get the idea.So you guys were basically comparing 2 different games that really have little to do with each other. On a different note: Personally, I'm playing classic for fun, doing some brainless grinding to relax can have an almost therapeutic effect, not cause the content is "challenging". You can also do some dumb fun challenges like 3 man Onyxia. I get the sentiment of some players who say they wanna speedrun raids or do them with as small of a group as possible, but there's also that kind of player that brags about getting up at 3 AM cause that's when the gates of AQ opened on their server to attempt server first C'thun. There really shouldn't be bragging rights for clearing 15 years old content, or achieving (most) stuff in video games in general, anyways.
