I've been playing since '05, and I gotta admit, I quit when I hit level 120 on my monk. Then, I came back, and Blizzard was making some changes again. Facepalm! But you know what? I was thrilled when Classic came out, and especially Hardcore mode. HC really puts you in your place, no doubt about it. It doesn't matter how good or skilled you think you are if you can't hit level 60 without biting the dust. It's that simple.I'll keep on dying in HC until I finally hit that elusive level 60. As for Mr. Conspiracy Theorist, I'm guessing they're not trying Hardcore or they threw in the towel in frustration. I've died a bunch of times, usually in my early teens, and let me tell you, it's not because someone's out to get us. Most of the time, it's just us not paying attention, making silly mistakes, or pure accidents like stepping off a cliff.Let me give you a few examples from my own mishaps: I wasn't watching my health while I was mob-hunting. That was a common one for me, getting too cocky! I decided to try a new attack rotation right in the middle of a battle. Duh! That Son of Argul around the corner? One-shot me. Lesson learned. I decided to chase after a dog in Brill (when I should've just left it alone), and I got ganked by two level 9 bats (I was just level 7). I didn't even have my nameplates up, rookie mistake!See anything there that was Blizzard's fault? Nope, me neither. While some folks like to throw around the "F" word and blame Blizzard, most of us understand that we messed up, not them. If you want to brag about your skills, show me a level 60 you've made on HC, and I'll gladly take your advice. Don't have one? Don't make up stories and blame Blizzard, simple as that.Do I get frustrated when I die? Heck yes! But do I keep coming back for more punishment? You bet! I guess I'm a glutton for punishment and a Hardcore junkie now! While the regular classic is still there, Hardcore mode is probably how the game should be played. People take it more seriously, you can tell by the crowd. It's what we've been wanting, and the higher level you reach, the more bragging rights you earn.Remember, in Hardcore, stupid moves equal death. And you can't cheat death. So let's put a stop to those conspiracy theories and remember that sometimes, losing just means you suck (JK).
