Go easy on the impoverished indie company guys. They're trying their best.
Can't they just leave Activision and create an indie Slizzard company that actually delivers quality games again? Like a start over of shorts, I mean money shoudn't be a problem if the creatives and developers don't already swim in pools of coin after all these years of success they must be doing something wrong...
What I really really want to ask Jay Allen Brack and the Project Management team in charge of Reforged is ... How in 2020, do you still think you can get away with delivering so much less than what was advertised and remove so many features that players always had. I mean .. just ... how? You've been down this road before. You understand scope creep. You understand budget and what is required to properly resource a project like this. You understand that people absolutely hate having features removed and not getting what was advertised ... and you even understand the PR s*** storm that will come as a result. So again, how do you allow this to still happen?
Worst thing about reforged is, that I didn`t want it. Yet it soiled my original client. Now I have a 28s black screen when starting the game.
Another little thing that was removed that kind of bothers me was those 3D intro screens for each race when selecting their campaigns.
Blizthesda? Blithesda? Bethezard? ...at least they let modders finish their games :(
They could just keep it as it was but integrate it into the App and increase mostly the resolutions, but nooo, they had to step beyond their feet. Starcraft Remastered is still the best right now. I'm a bit worried about Diablo II REMASTER (please do not do this 'reforged' thingy).
Hopefully they pull a Diablo 3 with this and fix the miserable release into something worth a damn -_-
I wish they would have waited to release this for a few months until they at least got clans, ladders, and custom campaigns working. I also really don't like the fact that they destroyed the previous version of WC3 and force everyone to downgrade to the new client that pretty much lacks everything that was in the original. This feels like it's still in beta.
Whoever came up with the bright idea to merge the two clients made a huge mistake. You can still play the original Starcraft before Remastered known as Starcraft: Anthology just fine and there was no problem with that so I have no idea why they didn't do that here. Now they've literally ruined a core part of what made old Blizzard great so we can't even have our nostalgia properly.
I would trade every promised feature for a working game. It crashed about 12 times, even in classic mode, and I refunded that garbo. I am also still bitter over the blatant disregard for human rights.
