I really hope the female Night Elf's uni-brow is a texture glitch lolAnd I'm seriously really liking the female humans, their eyes are a bit too open but so far as animation and hair goes they're looking really awesome to me.
Sorry, I'm just not convinced this is worth the hype it's getting as a major aspect of the new expansion. Sure, they look nice, but it isn't going to matter unless you have your helm display off all the time, and that's just the head part of the update, the rest of the body won't be visible and the added polygons only matter so much with the effort into designing new textures we'll almost never see. I've looked up some of my characters in the profiler, and for the most part there isn't a noticeable difference because I've xmogged my gear with the helm, and so don't exactly have my face visible, and I imagine doing so simply because of the update will get old rather quickly. I just feel the resources being put into the model update could be better allocated elsewhere.
Personally, I never have the "show helm" option clicked. I would much rather look at my characters' faces! Also I really hope they get rid of that unibrow for the NE females... I am worried...
For the love of everything good in the world of warcraft, can we please refrain from making my night elf look like a man? The massive hands and feet? They need to work on female night elfs more. Please make them more fem and way cuter. I'm hoping the other face options will be way more pretty than that manly one.THIS SUCKS! D: I will be unsubscribing if they're released in the current state that they're in.
Love the new forsaken, so much evily and creepy, especially on the faces. Hope they can fix the shoulder bone clipping through pads thing though.
I feel that the Undead Male's face may be a lil too shapely, just doesn't feel sunken enough compared to the old model.I Love the bounce on the Night Elf Fem's ears makes me laugh so much, Its just sooooo Cuute!& with the Draenei Male it seems the things they updated were just facial expression, giving the fingers actual dimension, and I think the tail is moving more, Love it!
All of the new animations and model upgrades look great. I really like the undead model, looks much more menacing and scary imo.
Still waiting on those Blood Elves. Basically the only race I'd really care about seeing an updated model for. All the others look amazing when you think about what we currently have in WoW.
Night Elves still look too bulky, and judging these videos, they have man hands and their flex faces are completely scrunched up, they look AWFUL. Blizzard, while you have exceeded expectations and excelled at every race, you've STILL managed to get it wrong with Night Elves. All but two of my characters are Night Elves and I'm sadly very unhappy with these test models.
You guys really are doing an incredible job making all the toons look better. This is going to be EPIC! Although I will say I was hoping the dress/robe draping around the legs would be more natural. The static cling look has always sucked...
Is there some way to manually preview specific hair/face choices for these new models? Or could videos be uploaded that flip through all the possible faces/hairs?
Even though these are about 4 years overdue (should've had new models with Cataclysm, IMO), I must say I'm really impressed. This is a situation where time and tech have made things better than they would've been had they been released with Cata.I've loved almost every single change... except: Why do the human males have pepperoni for nipples? I really, really hope that gets changed before release. I'll never play a human male anyway, but if I did, I'd be pretty disappointed and upset. I feel bad for those players who have human male characters. It's creepy like when Schumacher added nipples to the Batsuit.I'm not too fond of the female Night Elf unibrow action or the man-hands either, but, with any luck, that'll all get worked out by release too.I'm hoping Blizz will pull a "DAoC" on the models. For those who don't know: When Dark Age of Camelot upgraded their character models, players were allowed to re-customize their characters. Blizzard really needs to do the same. For each character a player has, they should allow for one free character customization (think Barbershop). You can change anything you'd like except race, gender, and class--and only once. (After that, normal fees apply should more changes be wanted.)I've just come back to WoW after a 2.5 year hiatus and I refuse to play anything but Pandaren right now. I had to switch servers upon my return, so I'm starting over from scratch. But I will not play another race right now because I'm concerned I'll be forced into an aesthetic I don't like. They really need to reconsider their plans.Other than that, though, these all look amazing. Kudos to Blizz for their efforts!
With the pics of the Dranei in armor, thin its possible they could be druids in WoD? armor looks like something a druid would wear, could just be some random armor blizz decided to throw on the model to show the gear off, but makes you think.
No more pink hair for NE DKs? No more derpy two-handed talking animation? Hair that moves? She speaks WORDS? This almost redeems the fact that they LEFT THE BOUNCING IN, YOU HORRIBLE PEOPLE. On a side note, human female chests actually breathe. Their breasts don't inflate and deflate like balloons anymore. Look close, it's true. It also appears that for her exclamation animation, she is saying, "I don't need a man!"
I like the fact they are taking the time to do the updates. They aren't rushing them out and taking their time to make them look good. The hard work shows! Great job Blizzard.
Wow! They actually did improve the Draenei! No longer do they look like a retarded little boy's character, nor run like one! Amazing! Doubt I'll still ever make one, but it's a very, *very* nice and welcome change! Well done, Blizz! All in all, they all look light years better, especially the human models. Stoked for both gender of Orcs especially :D FTH!
Also, the facial expressions and the detail in them look ten times better. Again, well done; however, the female's "rude" face looks... worse, actually. That mouth is just *way* too wide for normal ;)
These are awesome! Loving the addition of small details like cheek and eyebrow movements. I'd never notice them in game but it's cool to see they've put in so much work.
