If u delete Titan forged, u dont need to keep scaling it, 200IQ
Could just ya know, get rid of Titanforging. You'd be amazed Blizzard, how so many of the issues you keep needing to add band aids to, would magically go away the moment you remove titanforging.
I like Titanforging. Keeps Mythic raiding relevant constantly.
Agree with Yaypandaslol - warforging and titanforging are generally great systems that add excitement for most of the player base, long tail rewards on the bosses you have to kill to get to the ones you want (or other content below you to pass the time if bored), the small chance of an upgrade when doing something with lower geared friends, and quite aside from all that it removes/reduces the need for raid-wide nerfs towards the end of a teir - WF/TF gear pushing weaker groups item level up slowly over time gives them that extra push so you no longer need the 5-10% raid wide nerfs, instead progression is -by- the player, feels much better.I'd argue that there are benefits for mythic raiders too though, chance for upgrade from bosses on farm you already have the loot from, which a) keeps it more interesting to farm kill the same bosses each week even when you have the loot already, and b) adds to that item level growth to help augment your learning of the fights to help with progression, same as lower teirs (albeit with a smaller effect, quite rightly - it's meant to be the hardest)I'd be fine with Mythic having WF and no TF (420), and the cap for all non-mythic raids wf/tf being 415 so there is that distinction, if it helps people feel better about the system, but this is purely a "keep people happy" compromise and I don't think it's necessary. Statistically it's so rare, it as good as doesn't exist, but that moment when someone gets a 425 TF - boom, that's a story, and their day made, without negatively impacting anyone else... and it's not like the chance for +10 TF is negating mythic progression, two levels of possible upgrade after getting the base loot adds longevity to the older fights while you progress and gives you a chance and sense of progress when wiping on the same boss for weeks.
Just remove Titanforging and stop putting RNG stats into RNG drops.I wish they'd just give us Sockets and Reforging back. It was a tad bit complicated but allowed you to choose things for yourself.
Thank you Jykupajr, for the well-reasoned argument - a rare thing in a comments section - I can see where you are coming from. I think the benefits outweigh the downsides across the whole player base, but can see why some people dislike the loss of BiS and a smaller subset who care about it dislike the effects of RNG gear on parse-cheesing (which, despite my use of the term cheesing, I appreciate requires a ton of skill and adds some interest on mythic raid farm bosses, in a more social way than just another loot chance)To me, "BiS" is still what it used to be, there is just a "bonus" possibility if you keep playing, and a chance some other combo of gear might pull ahead if you get a sweet titan forge with socket (which I see as cool, but I guess might suck if you value both maximising DPS but also hate the playstyle a TF piece pushes you into - that trade off is often there with BiS too though, if you prefer the feel of focusing more haste, but it's better to have less)Having the base item level piece you prefer in every slot, for the difficulty you play is still a target that's there to me, but I appreciate this is a "feel" thing and others feel differently when "done" clearly isn't "done", and that is a reasonable criticism of the system.

i honestly don't know what titanforging is. is it like reforging? i thought that got rid of that concept years ago.
The nerve! That's downright.... reasonable.
I'm so mad I got Tsunami Talisman! Why couldn't I get Dragonspine Trophy instead, screw this game! :(
Rip the dream of predetermined stats and sockets. Rng itemization on top of rng on top of rng such a rewarding system.I should give you devs a golf clap at least it didn't take you 2 days to answer.
As always - Warforging/Titanforging itself isn't main problem - Main problem is BAD LUCK with it Related issues:- there DON'T exist some decent non-RNG way to get upgrades- its virtually impossible to get PERFECT gear for any type of content- no sure sockets on higher gear- professions are useless for higher gearing- reputations are virtually useless for gearing for several expansionsThis is part of something I posted few years ago when RNG related problems started:
