Yesterday, I finished the first 30 days on my "new" WotLK realm. My goal was to see how difficult it would be to make enough gold for a WoW token, starting from zero.According to the Ledger -> Resale tab I ended up making 21,431g68s40c profit. WoW are ~7.5k on EU :) pic.twitter.com/G5oLYp6g1N— BilisOnyxia (@BilisOnyxia) June 30, 2023

Goldmaking in #wrathclassic #wotlk has been insane since the token dropped. 22k in profit, with 4 tokens purchased along with epic flying. Hoping for 2 more tokens before the end of the month. Check out my twitch and YT channels (baconbits078) to see how I'm making gold. pic.twitter.com/KAl8nVUhcj— 🐷 baconbits 🐷 (@Baconbits078) June 27, 2023

It's interesting to note that they are not commenting about the "feast problem"/Islefin dorado market scarcity, which is a thing since day 1 of 10.1Since 10.1 dropped, fishing seems to be bugged. Giving way less rewards then it used to and it's been very difficult to find fish in general. The Islefin dorado, which is used for most of the food ingredients to make a feast, has been pretty difficult to find and it's price is slowly increasing as availability decreases. At least i think it's still a thing, tested yesterday and fishing still seemed bugged.
Miss the times during BfA when i paid 190k for a token here in EU...its out of control and i think we will hit 500k here during Dragonflight. the pressure to make gold for people paying their subscription is growing and growing
Wouldnt others buyting tokens make it a lot easier for the guy to make money without token? It's a weird experiment cause it feels that without the existance of tokens, he would make less.
Simple solution to fix it, remove the ability to gift games, codes with battle.net balance, only direct purchase with bank card. That will hurt RMT more than anything, and with no demand on their side for tokens, price will become lower and lower.
Looking forward to being able to shift some of my stock on the regionwide AH, there is so little demand on my server for old pets and mogs (which accounts for most of the stock I've accumulated from farming old content for completionism), I generally price these things according to the region sale average anyway so even if prices drop a bit the increased sales volume will more than make up for it. I basically just make my gold by playing the game; anything with a sufficient market price (relative to vendor price) goes to my AH character and gets listed, and the rest is just raw gold in whatever form it's offered (RIP mission tables). Nets me about 20k/day which isn't honestly a lot but it still adds up to about 2 token's worth (US) per month.
I wont get the next xpac once region wide AH drops. I'll probably burn out quickly. I play this game for raids, and AH PVP. Raids are only a handful of hours a week, so I really cant justify sticking around for just that.

no mention of how dracothyst prices have plummeted?
Relaxed gathering for at least some months is dead, gold making will be only for the last tryhards. In the end they have to sell more tokens to make up for the fewer subs each year.
Not sure how cross realm cold mailing will affect the price of token. I personally parked several characters across different realm to get better price on account bound item (battle pet, transmog).
