Awakened was a very good affix in my opinion, it was fun to deal with it. I welcome if they do something similar in the Season 2. I also like the Prideful affix, however it has the skipping problems due to the scaling as it was already mentioned here.
As long as it isn't like Infested, Reaping or Beguiling I'll be satisfied
I really liked Awakened and I really liked Pride, altough I think Bliz should find a way to keep the Risk/Reward rolling in higher Keys.I agree that its time to leave percentage breakpoints to open up the Dungeons a little more. What I really dislike is the idea of changing Stuff ontop of Affixes. There is allready a problem with Push weeks, and I dont want to wait for a "Push Week, but only with Haste Bonus Anima". We had that in 8.2, where Push Weeks on the affix Side got harder due to bad Seasonal Spawns. As someone who plays like 20 Keys per Week In the upper casual bracket of 18s I still dont Feel the need for changes as We still figure out Pulls to break through 20s. And Stuff like Inspiering feels annoying in this process allready.
As long as it isnt RNG which powers you get it should be interestingPlease Blizzard don't make it RNG.
God how I miss Awakened and 8.3
Am I the only one who would hate a seasonal affix that causes massive changes to routes week to week? I'm a tank and making sure my routes are perfect and practiced is something I've been struggling with already, because of how much things like fortified/tyrannical and bursting/inspired/necrotic changes things from week to week already. You can pull big on a tyrannical week if there's no bad affixes like necrotic or bursting, but you can't if there are. Some packs you want to completely avoid on an inspiring/fortified week. Do people really want MORE to change on a weekly basis? The fact that some weeks are basically dead for pushing keys has been a source of frustration from everyone I talk to.
Reaping was not a negative affix. It was the most fun we have had in a loooooong time.
Reaping didn't help you overcome the dungeon with a buff, but I agree it was a lot of fun
prideful is bad cuz it pops up during fight
i hit my goals for this season and quit playing until next season. This anima affix seems interesting (i know its WIP and not final yet) and i know i will return just because of that. The slight negative on all this is that powers are not random. If they are not random people will min/max and create meta in first few weeks and i will be forced to pick specific traits/powers.With random powers, like in choreghast i dont know what i can expect which is better than what to expect.
This sounds good! Just lemme stack 2x Convoke and some Fero Bites
mh.. as long as they manage to balance those powers class-wise and don't shift things around too much I'm fine with it.. let's see if they're enough to offset the missing pride buff in tyrannical weeks. If so, it's a good change as pride+BL wipes on bosses can easily trash higher keys and I suppose the powers persist until the end of the dungeon.
I don't care. At all. I'll kiss Ion's feet just for getting rid of Prideful. A pug pulled a mob? Ohhh boy, better wipe or completely re-route to not mess up your Prides. Such a terrible-feeling affix as a tank. Anything else will be fantastic.
I personally hate the idea of learning a new route through the dungeon every week. The biggest problem I have with M+ is routes and the expectation that yours (while tanking) is absolutely perfect. Planning a route and pulling every pack perfectly is not what I enjoy about dungeons. I want to fight enemies, move through the instance, and defeat bosses. I love the idea of keystones making dungeons harder and I enjoy the idea of having rewards based on percentage of enemies killed, time taken, etc. - but to have to fill a meter and kill all the bosses before the time runs out is creating a really toxic environment where expectations are so high because there's literally ONE way to approach a dungeon and your damned if you stray from the path an inch.I think the answer for M+ is moving towards something closer to the new Torghast scoring system, where different approaches can yield similar results, or where you have the opportunity to "earn back" time for killing more enemies or by collecting certain items within the dungeon. This all out dash to the finish line where every pull has to be scripted is not why I play WOW (this isn't the MDI) and it sucks that I have to subscribe to that philosophy to play challenging content. My choices are A) play supremely easy (regular) Mythic dungeon content where the objective is to beat all the bosses or B) play super-scripted, high-pressure (but not from actual combat) content where the enemies actually provide a challenge. I want the challenge to be the enemies, not a timer and not other (often unreasonable) player expectations. That's why "The Great Push" event is so appealing to me.And before anyone goes off on me, I'm not talking about wanting to waste people's time by doing content I'm not geared for or have experience with. I'm talking about being able to enjoy highly-challenging dungeon content at the pace that raiders are allowed instead of forced to flawlessly fly through it every single time.
I think we can all agree that Prideful is on the weaker side of seasonal affixes. It won't happen ever, but what I would really like is the removal of Fortified and Tyrannical affixes altogether.
I think Prideful was an excellent affix. It does exactly what a seasonal affix should do:
trying to complete a dungeon with all wrong RNG Powers is something I'm not looking forward to do.
