Basically EU got the short end of the stick again.
How so? Your 3 days starts a day later or you get a faster turn around on the quest the first round.
Hmmm... If the quest became available yesterday (Tuesday) and it expires tomorrow (after less than 48 hours), how is this a 3-day quest? 3-days is 72 hours. If it was a 3-day quest, then the first quest should not expire until Friday, just saying.
You are right, but for some reason the timer started one day in (as mentioned in the article) which means this first instance is just two days with the reset coming tomorrow morning.
Blizzard: "players don't like dailies/rep grinds?.... well....we'll make them like dailies/rep grinds...and they're gonna do it if they like it or not, just for giving us a hard time..."
I think the better question is why does this not follow the same schedule as the Assaults in the Maw or BFA corrupted zones which were on a 3.5 reset schedule which happened late on Friday nights and Tuesday during the reset event for NA servers. There really should be some consistency to this rather than having multiple 3.5 day quest events reset at different times, particularly within the same expansion.
Well for EU that does not very much time to get alts that i wanted to get through it done to keep on top of the rep grind needed for crafting :(
I feel like the weekly format worked better. These mid week resets aren't easy for everyone to deal with. E.g. BFA and Maw Assaults. Sometimes there just isn't enough time to play during the 3 day window and it always sucks to miss a reset. (More of a concern early in a patches life)Also, given it's a 3 day window. This means the resets are going to shift over time right?T-W-Th reset F-Sa-Su reset M-T-W reset Th-F-Sa reset. That just seems inconvenient and annoying as far as scheduled resets go. It's known instances reset on Tuesday. Imagine a moving target though. Does ___ reset on Friday or Thursday this week, I forget? I'd take the maw assault reset timing, which I'm also not the fondest of, over that.
Many people have been able to do the campaign, and get the quest BEFORE a daily reset , it’s doable and will be doable for anyone who commits ( since all rares are able to be repeatable) so yes technically EU will need to work just slightly harder to get it done but because rares are repeatable in ZM it’s not a big issue
This quest will be trivialized with flying.
Is this really on a 3 day rotation or does this simply follow the same schedule that was established for Black Empire invasions and then also used for Covenant Assaults?Feels like the latter would make waaaay more sense.
This reset timer might be a good addition to the front page Tracker of notable events: "Today in WoW".
Weird how Ion did an interview posted here on Wowhead where he said they don't want to make players feel like they have to do world quest type things in order to be powerful, and then they do this. Just make it a weekly. So stupid.
