Nerfed LFR Archie, should be back to under 5 stacks of Det.
Since the other topics are (intentionally?) derailed/cluttered with the "zomg free stuff" comments, could we have perhaps a polite discussion here about flying finally being introduced? Are you really happy about it, will you be really using it until Legion or can you imagine getting bored of it after a few weeks since most of us have already completed most parts of WoD where flying would have been helpful. Here's something interesting;Between the last raid patch of Wrath (Ruby Sanctum) and the release of Cataclysm only 4 and a half months passed.Upon the release of Cataclysm, flying was enabled for "old-world" zones and the new zones of Cata, in total for nearly 60 zones!Between the last raid patch of Pandaria (SoO) and the 6.2.2 patch that introduced flying for Draenor, 2 whole years passed! In Draenor, flying is implemented for only 7 zones. The developer team for Cataclysm was only HALF as big for WoW as it is for Draenor.Just let this sink in.I think it's nigh time to seriously think about where WoW is going and we didn't even mention the other issues.
I really don't understand in the slightest how you think that's supposed to be a solid comparison.
why cant i upvote flatluigi's comment
What is your point?Really? Ruby Sanctum to make a comparison? Introduction of flying in Cata to all old zones compared to just the new zones of WoD? Too many menToo many peopleMaking too many problemsAnd not much love to go roundCan't you seeThis is a post of confusion.I like flying and will use it. Convenience...yeah!
--Edit for Agapyr;Yes, I made a comparison with Ruby Sanctum and I knew someone would jump on it, but even if it was a small raid, it was still content added to the game. After SoO, there was supposed to be another, 5.5 patch, yet they killed it off to focus more time and development resources on WoD.In those 14 months of content draught, we had zero content added. Imagine if a small Ruby Sanctum-like thing have been in there somewhere. And yes, that's the point, both old zones and new Cata zones received flying in a much shorter time, than the 7 zones of WoD.But what's exactly the point of your poem or song lyric excerpt?(lol, messed up editing)
But didnt you understand that flying in WoD is not about development, its more about other mechanics they want ppl to play, the treasures stuff, where you have jump paths, the gliders, and other stuffs, they want you to go through all that, and travel arround all the labirintic zones ... just to make things a little less easy.... it was more about strategic decisions than development ones, I believe content was ready to fly since day one of WoD.i'm glad that i can fly now, after found almost all of the treasures, and explore all zones.and i hope they give us some "ruby" before Legion
#ActivisionDisolvedBlizzStays I'm pumped about flying though. Was great to turn into flight form and go as high as I could... or leave my garrison and get somewhere in less than 5 minutes very quickly, that took me 15-20m beforehand.
"Most importantly, Raid Finder Archimonde has received numerous nerfs."I'm both happy and saddened by this. Happy, because that fight was brutal. Saddened, because that fight was brutal.
Of a mixed mindset concerning Archimonde nerfs. The fight had very specific mechanics. Mechanics that could be understood by a quick reading of the Dungeon Journal, or Wowhead's guide, or listening to a quick explanation by someone in the know during the LFR (thank you all you peeps who post a quick rundown of the fight), or simply sticking to the "Adds > Boss; Don't Stand in Fire" mantra. The fight was not a tunnel-vision DPS race, and lots of LFRs couldn't muster enough give-a-damn to adjust their go-to strategy. I loved and hated the fight for that; that you could not go in there, pew-pew, and receiver your Bonus Roll Gold. A small nerf, sure, why not? To the ground with the Nerfbat, though?
As I flew around Draenor yesterday (for very limited time I must say) I remarked to nobody in particular "Wow, what an amazing place, I have a whole new perspective now that I am up in the air, wtf didn't this happen MONTHS ago?"So it seems they HAVE been quoted as saying flying in the next expansion will follow a similar path... which means after it's half over, they will announce some huge, long uber grindy quest chain, timed so that it MAY get flying long after all the content is totally exhausted (i.e. the WoD model). AND cause fractions aplenty in the user base with the toxic half screaming about how the other half MUST be grounded (most likely because they are simply too lazy to subject themselves to a "huge, long uber grindy quest chain").Now I was not so happy with the MoP model of no flying until level cp, BUT I pretty quickly made peace with it, leveled up and got flying. Meant I could have some fun flying around, finishing off the quests I hadn't done, doing the dailies & some archaelogy here and there, getting the rep etc. NONE of which I could do in WoD (as in it's way too LATE to be able to enjoy any of that now).Sooo, this is it for me. Oh, as long as my guild raids, I'll show up ahead of time because I did kind make a committment to them. But I am NOT going to put myself through the ringer Blizz put us through... so no 70 bucks for Legion...
You guys are just bored and upset. I love wow and I like it the way it is. If you dont...well...there are a few more mmo's to play.Oh and I think it was a good idea to introduce flying in draenor now. Even without flying, inpatient and selfish people still nuke down every rare without calling it out. Now...its impossible to get anything.
