If mage and shaman was switched, it would make sense to me by a theme. But now i'm a little confused.
I don't mind this change away from actual weapon drops in the raid, at least now if we don't have a hunter in the group we can give the token to someone who can use it rather than straight up disenchant the bow.
Removing the token groups altogether wouldn’t be the worst thing either....especially for legacy raids. A generic token that conforms to whatever spec and class you are would be the best way to do this.
i propose a vote. We must ask blizzard rename "Abominable Anima Spherule" into "Edgy Anima Spherule".

how about weapon token and shield/offhand token
Vanquisher tokens with extra steps...
It's funny how with master looter you wanted fewer people on your token but with personal loot, you want more.
This definitely helps fix the "my spec now has 2 different styles of wielding so now I'm going to be flooded by weapons I don't want to use issue" at least for the raiding scene, same with spellcasters who want to use 2h or 1h+oh. The thing about melee wielding styles is often one outperforms the other and also they can have completely different stat priorities depending on the style, so I'm glad they are implementing a new way to get weapons.
I really like the idea here, but I'm also not a huge fan of how you have to return to your covenant sanctum. But that's just me wanting to use the next new shiny toy immediately.
I don't understand this and I don't like it.
Nobody is really looking at the drawbacks of this system.Classes that can equip other class weapon types such as a Warrior equipping caster offhands, staves, agility swords, etc now have no way to unlock those transmogs. After my guild has been farming content for a while, we end up rolling for transmog and with tokens being restricted to classes there will be no way for classes to unlock the appearances.Examples:Rogues could unlock strength 1h appearances. Warriors could unlock staves, caster offhands, caster 1h weapons, daggers, etc.I'm going to guess in Shadowlands, with warriors/paladins/death knights being on separate tokens they also have different weapon appearances. It won't be possible to collect these anymore unless you play each class now.Maybe a minor complaint in general, but still sucks.
Im still real iffy on this system. Blizz wanted the "get an equip" style of play but they add in a token system where you have to leave the raid to cash in?why not make it like the older tier tokens that you can activate where ever and have it open a menu to pick the weaponhaving to either leave the raid to get an upgrade OR wait until after raid to cash it in seems pretty bad. If your group doesnt have a lock you have to wait even longer for people to get back (which was a thing blizz didnt like when reforging was around)
