No account wide essences......alright boys I'm outtie.
I don't quite get why people keep saying we'll get shadowlands in the summer... the preorder stated quite specifically that it'll be released on or before december 31st ... sure, they can bring that forward as much as they like... but chances are they wont (or wont do so very much)... November at the earliest imho (round blizzcon time).
Also, a great big nope on a 8.3.5 and account wide essences... rip... :'(
I love how the interviewer writes as he knows whats their plans. He/she does not know its just speculation. With track history i would take that with a grain of salt. One topic "That said, I think we all expect to move away from Old Gods for awhile. While Blizzard may never fully close the door on any idea (see: resurrecting Illidan 9 years later), we shouldn't expect to see them for quite some time. If we ever face the Void Lords though, it's likely the Old Gods or similar entities may show up again."I 100% disagree with you makes no sense that the old god shows himself then we don't see them at all for years as you state. Yes theres a so called end yall posted here but that does not confirm anything even the dialogue does not. If wraith or someone uses the blad to entrap his essence. It could be his plan all along. No old god can enter the shadow lands unless they had a way in aka dagger.I find it funny that interviewers like this try as they might to say "Oh no olds are done 100%" Ya its not 100%.If you follow the story there is a reason why he wanted the dagger. Why it took so long etc. With that said take it as you want. I stick to its his plan.
since no 8.3.5 that means next patch 9.0 is the shadowlands and that the pre-shadowlands event is encrypted into 8.3 which means the pre-blizzcon leak that the time between 8.3 and 9.0 will be the smallest gap in wow history of xpacs. what that can mean tho is the shadowlands zone may be timegated bastion 1 month then revendreth night fae necrolords ect. if the time gate is big questlines per week that wont be as bad as per say previous monthly time gaps of quests.
It's a shame to hear that account-wide essences, or even alt-essence catch-ups, aren't being implemented, but this was a fun interview none the less.
Amusing how they insist on playing stubborn mule with essences. No, no, no, hooves firmly in the ground and refuse to move, whatsoever. Guess won't be fair to end a brilliant expansion like BfA on a different note.
Did I miss what happens to the BA sword in Silithus? Is that remaining there throughout Shadowlands? (azerite is going away...right?)
He did mention something in another interview that gives me hope. While there is no 8.3.5 in terms of content, he mentioned keeping an eye on balance and system changes that are needed. So while there may be no new quests or scenarios like a 7.3.5, there COULD be a small patch to fix issues. I'm holding out hope for further nerfs to essence acquisition.Blizzard has developed this game for years now to be "play the patch", yet in 8.3, you're expected to go back and do 8.2 content to upgrade your character. I feel awful for returning players. I see people who are asking if 8.3 is worth coming back for, it REALLY is a good patch, but if you didn't do the 8.2 content to get essences, it's going to be rough and it might ruin the experience.
