If it was just time-gated in order to swap covenants, mayyyyyybe I could live with it. But when you factor in the week-long cooldown to swapping conduits, this is a kick in the balls. I never thought I would find myself in a position where the expansion looks AMAZING but blizzard’s stupid choice-limiting artificially time-gated stubbornness on ONE issue would make me not want to play at all. Incredible.
This sounds so scuffed it will probably butchred in 9.1Let's hope it's butchred for the better
Fully expect this to be massively nerfed in 9.2-ish timeframe. The questing seems fine and makes sense story-wise, but artificial timegating of this level has always bothered me. Like having to wait for mission board assignments to finish, etc. I’m surprised there’s not a microtransaction to skip the wait lol.
At least its not that hard to switch if we must. People cry too much.
Wonder how long it is going to take blizz to let us swap covenants whenever we want
RIP modsgod damn this is gonna be a cesspool of (justified imo) negatively.I wish you luck!
That's not bad at all really
Seems reasonable for what it's meant to do, prevent frictionless swapping based on whatever moment you're living in.
Can they please for ffs remove those awful timegated stuff? or they plan to make us wait like 5 months to realize that the system sucks and put some hehe patch to '''''''''''''fix''''''''''''''' this?
I like this, it is very reasonable. The fact that Wowhead's writers have already figured out a way "game the system" has only proved the good players will find a way to be good, while the less talented players will use the system as THE reason they're not so good.Moral of the story, play WITHIN the rules to achieve greatness and fun will just happen.(Look at the crazy awesomeness Rextroy pulls off.)
My question is whether the steps get more difficult each time you want to go back. Say you leave a covenant, return, leave again and try to return. Will the steps be the same or will they be evein more pissed at you now? :)
I mean this is whatever. People need to realise that just making covenant abilities swapable won't do much because of all the covenant specific conduits that interact with abilities. Now they could put a lot of effort into replacing and reshaping everything or they could put work into new content and we should learn to live with the covenant we choose
The quests itself look bland as hell, is like they didn't even bother trying making something, like they tried to piss off people on purpose.Just do some dungeons, and yeah, mostly wait, because we though that would be interesting.
I've already made up my mind to just go with the covenant I like the most aesthetically, performance be damned.
Why have the choice if you can just do this weekly? Really terrible decision.
