I like that they finaly aknowledge what most of people are saying :P
The class pruning part and learning from Classic really sounds promising, even if it's not going to be until 8.3 or even 9.0.I miss simple things like auras on paladins or poisons for all the rogue specs. They don't add much overall but they add a lot to the flavor of the class.
Dumb down the game, ignore the complaints, wait a few years to run off the playerbase, make a video about it, talk with your hands. Got it.
This write up needed one more proofreading pass. There are a few too many typos and errors in here.
I hope when they mean giving back to class and not spec they are talking about utility, mobility, and other things that aren't really tied to how the specialization directly does it's job, not like dps cooldowns that are thematic to each specialize or anything like that. I honestly enjoy the specializions feeling like you really are specialized, and I just hope they don't swing back to how in many cases, you didn't really feel much different on some classes as some specializations. I'd also like to say that Stances were terrible, and the only one I'd want back is defensive for warrior, so they can get gladiator back.
Oh what would Non Vanilla Warriors do if they had to learn to stance dance? The tears would flood the whole of Azeroth...
Does this mean druids will get back actual frenzy regen and not the current crappy version, warriors will get their stances, paladins their seals, rogues their poisons and maybe hunters getting their ammo too(refering to the ammo talent, not what is in classic)? I hope so
Looking forward to get Alter Time back for my Mage, enjoyed that skill very much in MOP (not so much the WOD talent version)
Very well-written summary. Ion is the man.
So my Forst DK may have more than 4 buttons one day? :o
Unpruning the paladin= +30 spells on your action bars. No thanks.
YES! This is what I like to hear Blizzard. That you guys are actually seeing the criticism and agree that too many things have been taken from the game and it made gameplay less enjoyable.Reading this gives me a lot of hope now.I'm already excited to hear about the next expansion and I can't wait to hear what you guys are going to bring us.
YES!"There are ways in which we've furthered spec identity at the expense of class identity"thats exactly what i wanted to hear. Really looking forward to playing classic because I really enjoy the RP of a class, and not of a spec. i dont like how different they feel now. i personally feel like i have to pick specs now and be locked into them. and i love the vanilla wow system of having most abilities be class bound, and talent trees letting you pick your playstyle.
Usually companies look to learn these things in beta environments...
Acknowledgment is good, but I think no substantial class changes will come until next xpac
