Re: Abyssal FocusCrafting soulbound items longer directly requires materials from dungeons and raids... ... But upgrading the Abyssal Focus requires 200 of an item from the Eternal Palace. This is dumb. I don't raid. I play M+. So I'm SOL from upgrading my gear from my profession ever? And if we're using so much of the item to upgrade, can we at least make it account-wide?
"the ability to craft the raid quality (410/425/440) gear "oh noes, you actually have to raid to craft raid quality gear. But I want everything for free and some NPC mining the ore for me so i dont have to!Did you ever see a raider complaining he had to do M+ to get the weekly chest? Or a PvP he has to fill Cap for his? Whats the difference. If you want it, do it. You can even get the stuff in LFR, its not that hard.
How dare blizzard forces us to get 2 piece of heroic/mythic raid quality gear from doing the same raid we're aiming? They should give us free mats because I log into game. They should be grateful on us for logging in.
Is there any word on if the Jewelcrafting shrines are going to give upgrade gems, have a chance to give upgraded gems, or new shrines on Mechagon and Nazjatar?
Ilvl max go up to 455 and they add 370 staff, great
That's really good actually. It's a 370 BoE u can get for toons...
Will the new movement speed gem actually stack with stuff this time or be just as useless as the old one? Has anyone tested it?
I guess it's less confusing this way, but my jewelcrafter is sitting this expansion out, I'm afraid, if I have to run him through to get 220 of these things to upgrade the thing that can only be used to make rings for myself. What a joke.
blizzard devs: Lets make crafted gear not require raid mats to make....BUT lets make you need to get raid boss drop to begin to make them.I am not shocked TBH.....BFA's chocies have been bad across board.
People are complaining about raiding materials and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that the materials for the jewelcrafting rings are at least 100 times more expensive than any other profession crafted piece of gear, ignoring the raiding mats and expolsum because it is the same for everyone for one piece. I don't think that having only one crafted item instead of two (e.g.: blacksmithing) is a justifiable reason to have this outrageous cost. And let's not talk about the RNG of secondary stat rolls that cannot even be compensated by higher main stats (str/agi/int) because rings don't have them...
If only there were another way to get rings in 8.2. If only the drop rate for the Eternal Ornaments was higher than one a month only purchasable from the Blizzard store for $100 a pop. If only jewelcrafters could create one other item besides rings. Literally unplayable! Unsubbing!
Will the Tools of the Trade Jewelcrafting equipment from 8.1.5 award the new gems? Or stick with the old ones?
I think people misunderstand how this system works.Consider the old system:youd have to get 20 breath of bwonsamdi to upgrade an item to heroic. Then 200 more to upgrade it to mythic. And this for EACH and EVERY personally crafted item! Here with the Abyssal Focus. You only need to to get 20 ornaments to allow ALL personal crafted gear to be crafted at the heroic level! 200 more to upgrade ALL personal crafted gear to mythic! And what is the JCers complaining over? Its not like other proffessions have many personal crafted gearpieces either. Alchemy for example only sits on the alchemists trinket which certainly isnt terribly impressive. Or the helm for engineers. Jewelcrafters have one of the best personal items, given how difficult it can be to get a second ring of a desirable stat, given the high competition for them in gear trades.
