75g isn't a way to say 'buy gold' it's just to make your initial decision matter. Despite adding many tanking and healing options to classic, must people just DPS anyway so having multiple of these trinkets isn't going to be that common anyway. This only effects people who swap roles in P2 and have the trinket from BFD anyway. Unless you have a massive amount of gold to throw away, somebody isn't going to want two of these trinkets anyway. Oh no, you're missing a small amount of spell power, healing power or AP! There's absolutely no way you can clear the content!I've never done a GDKP at all in classic and just finished my second character a couple days ago. Between the two of them I have about 250g. It turns out if you play the game and sell stuff you find, you can accumulate wealth, especially if you have gathering professions. If you don't play the game aside from the raid, of course you aren't going to have that much gold.
75g is too much
Their arguments for why they don't want to do this ever again is "because the next complaint is why even fly to tanaris to change it every time you respec, just give us all trinkets from the quest for free", and by that logic, respeccing is bad - make players beholden to the spec they chose and if they want to change, make a new toon. Next thing they'll start asking for dual spec, for cheaper respecs, for respeccing anywhere in the world etc. I'd argue the "special quest rewards" should NEVER even be BiS crucial spec-defining gear, because then the ONLY people you're hurting is the hybrid classes. Which are now practically all but warriors and hunters. The gearing honestly feels like a joke. Them making set pieces be tokens in Gnomer is good, sure. But we keep having the same problem as before - you get 2 item drops per boss, one of those will be a token that either EVERYBODY wants, or NOBODY wants because everybody's got their bis in that slot. And that leaves one slot for the unique, super duper specific to a single spec loot. Like the mage healer only staff. Like the countless feral-druid-only, or moonkin-only pieces of loot. Then those will drop super rarely, mostly when nobody can use them.
To hell with off specs o/
At least we now know that Chinese Gold farmers will not be unemployed after the GDKP ban.
75g? That has to be a mistake.
