The only time I run a cellar is when it's up for the whispering tree.
The first thing I did when I opened up World Tier 3, was run a cellar, and I got the unique Staff of Lam Esen.
I’ll run a cellar if I happen to be 1 tick short of world tree reward. Other than that, I don’t partake.
Anybody else tired of coming across these darn 3 limping survivors you have to protect as waves of monsters spawn on a fixed timer ? F these guys, let them die. Already old as hell and definitely not fun.
Is there anything in this game that worth it? All your progress is wiped anyways every season so nothing you do is worthy...All your investments should be preserved long term or there's no reason to even play this game.
I'd say cellars are good for a bit if an exp boost in the early part of the game, particularly if you're trying to get to a particular level ASAP (like I was trying to get to 15 to get my skelly mages).
I like them a lot. They're a bite sized encounter which does potentially have a decent reward. There's something to be said for quick low time investment side amusements. They'd lose charm if they were strictly "optimal".That said, given that they're not conveniently grindable, I certainly wouldn't object to them being more rewarding. Somewhere between a similarly sized segment of a regular or nightmare dungeon.I'd like to see more variety of activity too.
nice to see people from the d4 side of the site meeting tomrus for the first time
I run them whenever I am close to one, whispering tree or not. And the reason is because they take 10 seconds to do, and I have had (the luck I guess) to encounter quite a few of the cellars that are full of treasure goblins. I know, treasure goblins are garbage in D4 but I still get a kick out of running after them and blasting away in hopes of getting fat loot.
