looking forward to next week's rankings
Thank you for this informative article! Can't wait for next weeks rankings : ).
Warlocks can use incinerate or shadow bolt for their main damage source. It's misleading to say they only use shadow bolt. As well, in general destruction warlocks will not want to use corruption unless they have 4pc, which is unlikely for this week. Sadly, warcraftlogs can't differentiate between fire and shadow locks since they use the same talent build, but it would be interesting to know which one performs better overall.

Hunters on the top, guess that Dungeon set is doing work, as opposed to people who have to wait for harder gear from raids.
Why do you guys keep using 95th percentile numbers when the statistics landing page has box plots that provide a much better picture of the class balance/numbers across all skill levels?
Oh hunters, how low they've fallen now compared to this
All things considered, this is surprisingly similar to the damage rankings in Shadowlands. Funny to see that the melee-ranged imbalance has always existed.
So looks like https://www.warcrafttavern.com/tbc/dps-rankings/ was pretty much correct, oh well, hail to our Warlock overlords.
As a sub rogue main, it's a bad time to play WoW. The worst spec in retail and TBC classic.
I don't really find this type of data to be all that useful TBH. There are so many raid buffs in WoW as well as RNG factors which cannot be accounted for. Sure, maybe in sunwell where you need to stack like crazy for a boss like Muru, but for most of TBC its just not necessary.I know there's a disclaimer at the end about individual class buffs/debuffs not being accounted for, but they're such a large piece of the puzzle here . You aren't getting those insane warlock or arcane mage parses without shadow priests and their mana return, or maybe the arcane mages eating innervates just for their parses, or any other shananigens. This stuff is also far more common in the top 5% which makes the 95% parse charts feel.. irrelevant.
