Blizzard died a long time ago. This is some patchwork abom that's shambling through the current year.
This is a fancy smoke screeny way of saying the studio is dead. They haven't made a non-remaster is nearly 10 years. So, remember when Blizz/Activision laid off 200+ people awhile back and they got a lot of crap for? Now suddenly they're...um....having that same amount of people come in. Hear me out on this one.....they fired the redundancies so that they could eventually fold VV into Blizzard.
Will the Bandicoot race be Alliance or Horde?
World of Crash Bandicraft when?
So the Diablo 2 Remaster might be also outsourced like W3 Refunded. Well, this gives me a great hope for this remaster....Really, really big one.
Translation: We laid off to many people from the last round of layoffs because our executives had to have their bonuses so we're dragging in people from a subsidiary to shore up the works until the next round of lay offs in which they'll be next.
Activision is killing Blizzard! It is sad!
So THPS 1+2 Remaster is a Blizzard game now, vote for Secret Skater Thrall :p
"guys, diablo 2 is getting a remaster - and we mean it this time!"-the last 10 or so years
They think BfA's story failed because it was about politics. It failed because:1. They opened with having the surprise villain commit genocide and then insisting she wasn't the villain until, surprise, she was the villain, fooling no one who remembered MoP and saw where things were going.2. They tried to tell a wide-ranging war story... through like, 5 NPCs. People complain about Cataclysm, but this was one thing Cataclysm objectively did better - it showed minor NPCs giving their opinion on why they're fighting a war. We know they didn't learn this lesson because they said they're going to continue focusing on a handful of NPCs to tell wider stories.3. The trailer sold it as an expansion about faction pride, but the Alliance were just repeatedly told they're supposed to hate the Horde while having nothing to be proud of, and the Horde were just repeatedly shamed. You may think BFA was a failure in your opinion, and that is your right, but in my opinion BFA was GREAT!
They clearly marketed it as more than remaster. Afterwards they also pretty much have dropped support for it, months now have passed without anything about the promises they made for ladder, custom campaigns, etc. A single patch came in December - only to fix "something" server side only.Oh how I hate the corpo PR speeches, they are full of crap. This is all on them and their greed.
I hate how Blizz acts like "Oh it was never anything more than just a remaster" when they literally ADVERTISIED it was much more than that.Eventually they had to change it to avoid false advertisement charges, because the likely truth is that they ran out of budget or time and tried to excuse it.
