This is very unexpected
Dont wanna be the kid screaming "nerf X covenant and buff Y", but its very noticeable that most of the people are going for NF and Kyrian, we need more love on the Waaag necro boys and our Twilight Tea lovers for more variaton between covenants
I would be curious about what percentage of characters in this statistic have at least one mythic boss kill (or more than one since Tarragrue is extremely free)
So people are playing whatever performs best.Meaningful choices
I would be more interested to see how this spreads out after 9.1.5 when people can freely change their covenant. There are likely a great handful of people who have been waiting to swap for one reason or another.
This is super interesting data. Thanks for putting this one together!Btw... Now that all covenants are available to anyone at anytime, I think it's perfectly acceptable that certain classes/specs gravitate toward certain covenants. You can have your functionality and your flavor anytime you want. No "buff X or nerf Y" needed.
Well swapping takes effort for boomkins for example: also meaningful reason its still a 3minute cooldown to manage no?
Why are so many night fae? Is it literally the highest DPS? Is that the simple answer?
Amusing how so many of my characters ended up in various covenants matching the max ones per class despite my having no intention of picking them based on best of the best. Was pretty random, mainly just choosing whichever ones I did not have cosmetics for that armor type for that covenant and dumping that character there.
The choice is pending to the most well balanced option, that isn't a surprise, everyone told blizzard the meaningful choice didn't exist, they didn't believe.
It would be interesting to see these numbers include how many raid consistently and how many run keystones. Then take it one step further and include the level of raiding and/or keystones. I'm sure once you start looking at people mythic raiding or running keys above 20 you'll see them less spread out. But it is nice to see that for many people the covenant they are choosing is based on choice and not "meta" or what is suggested from fan sites.
Well...I just picked the covenant I felt like joining. I guess that's the bonus of a casual non-raider ^_^
