I was so hopeful that there are maybe new changes that I missed (balancing, catch up), but no. Also, this is wrong:"the Honor cost will for fully upgrading the piece will be spread across the new ranks and the upgrade costs have been reduced by 25%, giving us some much needed relief with regards to the long Honor grind"- honor cost for upgrading rated gear (CQ gear) stays the same, but is spread out over more ranks- honor cost for upgrading unrated gear (honor gear) is lowered
I wonder if this affects getting the transmog, like do you need to be a Rival 2 to get the entire set now? Which is a 1950 rating instead of 1800.
The conquest part reads more like Blizzard is not entirely sure how the system works. But great changes!
pvp will never be too popular, as the learning curve excedes the attention spawn of casuals. with that being said, the concept of this many spells is quite strange, less engaging, and the cc element is also..just not fun. if there womt be a better reward system at least pvp wont be any more popular than pet battles
They should've went back to MoP or WoD style gearing. This is a waste of their effort. And with no actual balancing; this will only VERY SLIGHTLY increase participation for PvP.
Sounds nice to know someone's rating when signing up and such - to know what kind of players you could be facing - as iirc its based on highest rating in your party.
I wish they'd tell us whether the gear we've already acquired and upgraded will auto-upgrade to the new ilvl or not. I know it's unlikely in all honesty but still would be nice to know.
The only part of 9.1.5 pvp change that does something is increase conquest earned by 70%. Everything else is just pointless.PVP players need:HONOR INCREASED BY 100% OR EVEN MORE (super important)Actual efforts to make arena balanced.Until these happen no one is gonna log on and queue. There are literally 3 comps in the god damn ladder right now: jungle, necro warrior ret and RMP. Until things are actually getting balanced PVP's playerbase is only going to decline, why bother to annoy ourselves lmfao.Like come on, at the beginning of 9.0 people have high hope about things getting better but somehow blizzard can't even make biweekly pvp balancing changes. Just look at how AWC goes from 20-60k viewers last season to 4-7k this season. Blizzard is just useless.
it should be 1 honor gear and 1 conquest gear. People who come to pvp late or on a alt will get outgeared so hard its not even fun.
1950 are boots & helm, as i saw. The last tmog.
Can they just revert PvP items' PvE iLvL nerf? I feel disgusted, I was 227 iLvL during 9.0 till 9.1, I came back and bought 2 new items from conquest vendor, I went down to 226 iLvL? Why do you nerf PvE İlvL of them so much and you expect us to do Torghast.Imagine starting a new season, buying new items only to decrease in item level.
There is no 'massive' grind for renown. I was doing an alt recently, less than a month ago, and was getting 2 renown each time for some content, I think it was the campaign up until around renown 40. I don't know the exact details, but it only took me less than 2 weeks of just playing to hit max renown and with 9.1.5 if you join a covenant you already have done you can skip to 40 instantly so it's not that big a deal. The hardest part is the honor grind and if you are doing the campaign while sitting in a PVP queue than you will get renown super fast, well before you hit any limits due to not having enough honor for gear. The only issue is getting the honor for the upgrades gear and the upgrades. I still see the PVP iLVL difference as being too much, it's certainly better than it was, but anyone who does PVP knows that anything over about 5-10 iLVL and you almost certainly don't stand a chance.
