If you can't tell who in the group is providing the buff can't this be used to grief other people leveling in islands and dungeons?
Isn't island leveling way slower than freehold boosting? I thought that'd be the bigger loss of the two.
Why? This doesn’t hurt the game. Why stop this from happening? Again, another example of devs thinking something in the game is a problem when players don’t.
So basically, if I wanted to be a huge jerk, I'd get a 110 toon and lock XP to troll island groups?Definitely a better fix than just balancing 110 toons. /s
God damn it, if people want to level up by paying a twink to boost them then let them do so for crying out loud! Who cares?
Why is this even an issue? I mean really what does it hurt? If people want to invest a lot of time and gold into a carry toon then that's their business. Blizz has never had issues with people buying runs for gold before either. I just fail to see why they need to shut this down?
How many hotfixes to make leveling take longer before they give some sort of incentive to level without boosting? Already nerfed dungeons/raid exp for sub 90 dungeons and been constantly hotfixing to make it take long since the elevating changes.
ooft... they're discussing a level squish as levelling is nothing but a painful and unrewarding chore these days... and nerf yet another decent way to level (and/or provide a service to boost other people to level). it's like they're determined to ruin all levelling ways and force us to go at a snails pace and beg them for paid boosts and/or a stupid unneeded squish... sigh...
I feel like there is all kinds of things they could be worrying about besides this. It just amazes me sometimes the things they choose to "fix".
Why not use well geared 120s for the carries?
There's absolutely no way this could back fire. Great job Blizz on yet another change for the betterment of the player base. :))))
Blizz hates fun. may as well merge with activision (the publisher) at this point.
A problem that prob was not a problem to begin with but now a problem that most will stir up one.
So, uh... 120's... grouped with leveling people... lose nothing by trolling folks with this and leaving it on... and 120s DO have a reason to be in normal islands and dungeons.
Does this effect low level groups? I turn my XP off when I hit 60 to let a lower level friend catch up to me so we can keep up too pace in BC / Wrath dungeons, since I have one extra heirloom.
