This item has an interesting proc. The item has a comparable proc, which raises the minimum and maximum damage of the weapon. +30 damage and 10% attack speed is a pretty big amount. I would imagine that enhancement shamans, 2h warriors, and ret paladins could get some decent mileage out of this hammer.

When the proc is active this hammer's damage range goes from 170-241 and its attack speed goes to 3.3. This brings its base DPS up to 62.27. For warriors - Calculate for and 5/5 and its attack speed should be 1.85 (3.3*.7 = 2.64, 2.64*.8=1.848) while the proc is active. During the proc (assuming no weapon enchants + weightstones), Frenzied assault, and Flurry - this weapon gets a base DPS of 111.08. If you put +9 weapon damage and a +7 weightstone on it, this becomes a 120.27 DPS weapon.

Would be interesting to see what kind of theory crafting people could do for Shamans and Paladins with this weapon.

Got this item recently (after the ST loot update when it turned epic) and discovered the the proc effect is bugged. At the date of 07/06/2024 instead of increasing attack speed by 10% and increasing the damage by 30, it increases attack speed by 10%, reduces the damage by some amount and then adds +30. So in general the base damage of a weapon is lower when the proc is active. Very disappointing bug.
