Panser
has highlighted new things coming in the patch in her "39 Things" series:
The
Brawler's Guild
has returned in Legion! There are new Rank 1-7 fights and some special challenges like
a Seagull
. There is also a new
random brawl mode
which brings back many old fights like Hexos!
New to Legion, players also earn
Oro dei Combattenti
for winning Brawls, which in turn is used to purchase Rumble Cards and some fun buff items.
Rumbles
are special challenges that pull
everyone
in the queue into the arena to fight a boss.
Brawler's Guild invitations have reset; you will need to acquire
Invito Macchiato di Sangue
again in Legion. A good place to farm the invitation is from the elites in Shield's Rest in Stormheim.
The
Brawler's Guild Guide
is updated with details on all the Legion fights! This is Pwuebear's third expansion straight maintaining the Brawler's Guild guide for Wowhead. Check out the linked boss tips or share your own tips on each NPC page below.

Every patch brings about balance tweaks, buffs, and nerfs for specializations--and Patch 7.1.5 had an unusually large amount of changes. See how your specialization has changed in the patch with our

The
official patch notes for 7.1.5
are now up as well! These have undergone several rounds of revisions since Blizzard posted them yesterday.
Our guide writers have been hard at work researching updates for their guides, including summaries of what has changed for each spec. Check out the guides below for information on ability usage, gear and artifact recommendations, and more, as well as the
7.1.5 Demon Hunter Overview
breaking down Havoc and Vengeance changes in detail.
Note that some guides may still be a WIP due to last-minute changes on Blizzard's end; most, but not all guides are updated as of Tuesday morning.

There are also several flashy new animations:
Each class has new legendaries in 7.1.5 and many existing legendaries have received changes.
Legendaries that were powerful in all situations were nerfed to avoid being the clear best choice.
Weaker legendaries like
Prydaz, Magnum Opus di Xavaric
and
Segreto di Sephuz
were buffed.
When Nighthold goes live, legendaries that drop will be ilvl 940 instead. This was mentioned in the
7.1.5 November Q&A
. Legendaries will drop at a higher item level, or players can complete
Il tocco del Titano
to get the upgrade item
Essenza Titanica Distillata
to use on existing legendaries.
Our
Patch 7.1.5 Legendary Item Overview
lists all the new and changed legendaries. Our guide writers have also been updating their
gear recommendations
for the legendary changes.
Secondary Stats are rebalanced in 7.1.5, to emphasize the importance of item level instead when determining gear upgrades. There were three parts of the revamp:
Increase the amount of rating needed to obtain 1% of a secondary stat.
Increase the amount of stats on jewelry, with high item levels having more of an impact.
Increase all stats on gear, so player power does not feel nerfed. This shifts the source of player power from secondary stats to primary stats.
The ratings changes are:
Critical Strike - 400 needed for 1%, up from 350
Haste - 375 needed for 1%, up from 325
Mastery - 400 needed for 1%, up from 350
Versatility - 475 needed for 1% damage and healing increase, up from 400. 950 needed for 1% damage and healing reduction, up from 800.
More techncial details are in the
Secondary Stat Changes in Patch 7.1.5
article. We've made a list of all the
Nighthold Loot
with changed stats as well.
There are two Artifact Knowledge Catch Up systems coming in Patch 7.1.5:
Turn in 500 Order Resources for
Sinossi sulla Ricerca dell'Artefatto
. This will grant you one level of AK, up to AK 15.
Players with high Artifact Knowledge can purchase
Compendiums
and send them to an alt. This will automatically boost an alt's AK to a high level.
For example, a player at Artifact Knowledge 25 can buy a book to automatically boost an alt up to AK 20.
We've made a new guide to
Artifact Knowledge
covering the catch up systems, the hidden appearances that require Artifact Knowledge, and how the basics work.
Some professions have some updates, including:
There are two more Obliterum levels; crafted gear can go up to ilvl 865.
Blacksmiths can collect
new recipes
for removed old-school weapons
Enchanters
are getting
cheap enchants
that grant 200 of a secondary stat:
Rank 1 recipes can be purchased from a vendor in the Farondis Hub.
Rank 2 recipes are found on creatures in specific Broken Isles zones (except Suramar), as long as you know the rank 1 recipe.
Rank 3 recipes are found in emissary chests for those zones, at a 20% chance. The rank 3 recipe requires knowledge of the rank 1 or 2 recipe.
Other enchants have received changes:
Marchio dell'Antica Sacerdotessa
now heals for 400% of spell power.
Marchio dell'Artiglio
now gives 1000 haste and Critical Strike (was 550 at level 110).
Marchio del Soldato Addestrato
gives 600 Mastery (was 300).
Marchio del Satiro Nascosto
damage is now 200% spell power or 250% attack power, whichever is higher.
Engineers have the new
Dono del Costruttore
enchant.
Dono del Costruttore
rewards
Contenitore di Ciarpame
s from kills in the world, about once an hour. This is needed to craft new
ilvl 880 Skullblaster Goggles
.
There is a new pet,
Procy
, to purchase with the Fishing Currency
Manaffogato
.
With Patch 7.1.5 live, players across the community are discovering details that weren't documented in the
official patch notes
. What follows is a list of interesting observations taken from Wowhead's 7.1.5 PTR news and the
Undocumented Changes
thread on Reddit.
Achievements
Several high-end achievements were added for PvE and PvP:
Sulla cresta dell'onda: Helya
,
All'avanguardia: Helya
,
Élite Vendicativo
,
Élite Impavido
Artifacts
Applying Artifact Power to a weapon that is already at 54 traits does not store the AP; it is lost.
Classes
Death Knight Ghoul is not benefitting from mastery.
Ranks 4, 5, and 6 of some cooldown reduction Artifact Traits have been nerfed.
Maestro Assassino
(8/6/4 sec),
Tiro Rapido
(8/7/7 sec),
Demoni Scatenati
(15/15/10 sec)
Storm Earth and Fire clones walk instead of jumping to mobs or to you - they are slow.
Travel Form appeared to be nerfed to 80% of mount speed and a fix is on the way, this is not intended
Blizzard
Hey all,
This is a bug and we currently have a hotfix in the works to resolve it. I'll update this thread if I hear anything more.
Thanks for the heads up, and we appreciate your patience on this.
PvP
PvP World Quests can now reward
Contrassegno d'Onore
.
Mists PvP gear can be purchased as an
Ensemble
for 12
Contrassegno d'Onore
; previously players had to buy each item individually. Check out these sets in the modelviewer:
Dreadful and Malevolent
,
Tyrannical
,
Grievous
.
Items
Moneta Xuriosa
appear to drop more frequently from Emissary caches.
Dalaran now sells the
Dono dell'Animalista
enchant. This drops Pet Charms and Treats.
Pandolce di Mana Evocato
is from a Mage's Conjure Refreshment as well as the group refreshment table.
Many Nighthold items had
changed secondary stats
. While players couldn't acquire this gear yet, it was visible in the Dungeon Journal since Legion's launch.
Bonus Rolls can now reward the Artifact Power item
Talisman of Victory
. (Data added in
Build 23038 Globalstrings
).
We've seen related quests pop up for
Cubo della Memoria
during the 7.1.5 PTR (
Enigma al cubo
) - perhaps this mystery toy will be obtainable!
Prydaz, Magnum Opus di Xavaric
looks different and no longer makes noise:
Visuals
Reddit noticed the
Cuore della Corruzione
version of Ashbringer has
now been flipped
when sheathed:
Nighthold opens on Normal and Heroic difficulty the week of January 17th. When Nighthold goes live, you will no longer be able to complete
Sulla cresta dell'onda: Xavius
and
All'avanguardia: Xavius
.
Prepare for Nighthold in advance with our guides to bosses and their trash:
Skorpyron
Chronomatic Anomaly
Trilliax
Spellblade Aluriel
Star Augur Etraeus
High Botanist Tel'arn
Krosus
Tichondrius
Elisande
Gul'dan
Nighthold drops loot with Tier 19 set bonuses, learn more with our
Nighthold Loot Guide
and
Tier 19 Armor Sets
.
Some
achievements and quests
can only be completed when Nighthold is open:
Rivisitazioni storiche
unlocks the Valorous Artifact Appearance and lets players use the tints earned from
Mostruosità scatenate
,
Maestro delle Chiavi
, and
Gloria dell'eroe di Legion
Gloria dell'incursore di Legion
requires special achievements from both Emerald Nightmare and Nighthold. It rewards the
Redini Profanate
moose mount.
Manafiera dell'Arcanista
is a reward from
Fate of the Nightborne
; this is the final quest in a long series from
Insurrezione
.
Scrutasangue Predatoria
and
Beccotruce Brillante
require players to kill bosses in Nighthold; the other Falcosaur questlines required bosses in Emerald Nightmare.
Gul'dan
has several unique rewards:
Nucleo Diabolico di Fuoco Infernale
is a 100% drop on Mythic difficulty.
Nucleo Vivente di Vilfiamma
can drop on all difficulties except LFR.
is a title for defeating Mythic Gul'dan.
Anomalia Cronomatica
drops the weapon illusion
Illusione: Cronos
.
Several bosses drop recipes:
Glifo - Bocciolo Crepuscolare
: Modifies your Lifebloom to appear as a large blooming twilight flower.
Borsa di Fildiseta Infusa
(Rank 3): Greatly reduces the materials required to craft an Imbued Silkweave Bag.
Bardatura del Vilsegugio del Nucleo
: Craft a Fel Core Hound Harness.
Micro-holidays will now show up on the calendar in Patch 7.1.5. However, the first one will not start until January 21st.
Micro-holidays celebrate the events and history of Azeroth, unlike past holidays which are inspired by IRL celebrations. There are no permanent rewards or achievements from these events.
Richiamo dello Scarabeo
, starting January 21st, will send you back to Silithus and pay tribute to the opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. The Alliance and Horde will race to turn in the most resources--whoever wins will hang their banners by the Scarab Gong for the next year.
There are many more micro-holidays, which you can check out in our
Micro-Holiday Overview
.
Mists of Pandaria Timewalking will be added to the bonus event rotation in Patch 7.1.5. Currently on the PTR calendar it is scheduled for March 7th, but who knows if Blizzard will move it earlier.
Players level 91 or higher can queue up for Mists Timewalking dungeons:
Porta del Sole Calante
,
Palazzo Mogu'shan
,
Monastero degli Shandaren
,
Assedio al Tempio di Niuzao
,
Birrificio Triplo Malto
,
Tempio della Serpe di Giada
. These dungeons will delve into the lore of the Mogu, Pandaren, and Mantid.
