The Hatchery
Somehow we get to the Hatchery after defeating Lady Ashvane. She welcomes us to the Hatchery.
Queen Azshara
: Ah, good. You arrived just in time to welcome these little ones into my service.
Shandris Feathermoon
: We cannot allow these creatures to hatch. They will overrun the surface!
This is where we fight Orgozoa, who tends to the eggs in Nazjatar. Once you get Orgozoa, he runs away during the encounter and you have to follow him down the Hatchery to finish the fight. If you look around, you see tons of eggs with something moving inside each of them.
The Queen's Court
After the Hatchery, we move towards the Queen's Court. You have to jump off a ledge into a pool of water and then swim through a corridor. You then emerge in the pool below another statue, similar to the one after the first boss.
Moving forward you move to the Queen's Court where Thalyssra and Shandris Feathermoon are waiting, staring at the upper balcony. It is assumed that Queen Azshara will be up on her podium when the encounter is live -- This is her court after all!
Shandris Feathermoon
: Enough games, Azshara! This shall be the final day of your twisted reign!
This is the location of the 6th Boss and you'll have to impress Queen Azshara while fighting the Nazjatar Forces. However, she occasionally gets bored and issues a series of decrees which changes the rules of the fight.
Outside the Palace
After the Queen's Court, we go deeper into the Palace, but eventually get back outside and there's a bubble surrounding the nearby area keeping the Water at bay. A large area is in front of us which represents the arena for the 7th boss, Za'qul, Herald of N'zoth. Note that the colors shift in this room--most of the Eternal Palace is blue and purple, but now there are reddish hints, possibly hinting at the corrupting influence of the Old Gods.
As you approach the arena, Shandris and Thalyssra are present and comment on what you can see in the background.
First Arcanist Thalyssra
: There is... a presence here. Tendrils strangling my mind...
Shandris Feathermoon
: Out there... titan pillars. And chains descending into darkness...
First Arcanist Thalyssra
: Azshara wants us to see this. Why? Surely she knows we would never let that monster free!
Shandris Feathermoon
: There is no time to warn the others! We must end this, champions... now!
Here are some screenshots taken from the Arena. It's very cloudy and foggy due to the Protective Bubble.
It looks like the that platform looks like the Datamined map for a boss encounter, and the only one we haven't seen yet is the Queen Azshara encounter. The placement of the statues looks very similar to the map below, and the circular layout reminds us of the Circle of Stars imagery.
We were able to get outside the bubble using a Demon Hunter and glided in for some close-up shots of the pillars.
And even closer... though it doesn't look like they go anywhere but into the darkness right now.
The Spectral Chains and N'Zoth's Prison
These spectral chains are reminiscent of the chains used to imprison Yogg and the Heart of Y'Shaarj in past expansions. The Encounter Journal makes clear that during the fight, Azshara tries to free N'Zoth:
Queen Azshara will use all of the forces at her command to disable the Ancient Wards keeping you alive while attempting to override the Titan device keeping N'zoth imprisoned.
In this preview image of the Eternal Palace, released by Blizzard last month, we see the chains in greater detail, greatly resembling the other chains we've seen in WoW:
We know that Nazjatar was built from the drowned remains of Zin-Azshari, Azshara's capital city before the Sundering. This city grew next to the Well of Eternity, created when the Titans ripped out Y'Shaarj, and later described in
I Kaldorei e il Pozzo dell'Eternità
as:
The lake, which would later be called the Well of Eternity, was the true heart of the world's magic and natural power. Drawing its energies from the infinite Great Dark beyond the world, the Well acted as a mystical fount, sending its potent energies out across the world to nourish life in all its wondrous forms.
The Eternal Palace is part of Nazjatar, a zone which lies close to the center of the Maelstrom, created from the ruins of the Well of Eternity after the Sundering. With the raid ending at the prison, it now appears that N'Zoth is located in the remains of the Well of Eternity, created from the lifeblood of Azeroth.
The location of N'Zoth's prison opens up lots of questions--notably,
Chronicle
claims N'Zoth is buried underground, but instead the prison is underwater. That will be the subject for
another
article though!
Edit:
this article is now live, in which we try to reconcile both locations of N'Zoth's prison. Check out
