We have new in-game models of some enemies players can expect to face in Diablo 2: Resurrected.
Enemies
Blood Hawk & Nest
Blood Hawks spawn from their nests, which players need to destroy quickly before they're overwhelmed.
Fallen
Fallen are demonic imps, as vicious as they are small.
Goatman
Half-man, half-goat, all nuisance.
Skeletons
These animated skeletal forces can be warriors, archers, or mages.
Tainted
Tainted are slow, misshapen demons, but don't let that fool you. They don't need to move fast with their lightning powers.
Quill Rat
Quill Rats and other Spike Fiends can shoot poisonous quills at the player.
Vampire
Vampires in the Diablo II universe don't just steal life. They are empowered by the demonic flames of hell, and wield powerful fire magic.
Wendigo
These once-peaceful creatures have become dangerously aggressive towards humans, possibly for good reason.
Zombie
Zombies are the lowest of the undead, though a couple of special ones - like
Corpsefire in Act I
- can provide some challenge.
Baboon Demon
One of Diablo II's stranger creatures, the Baboon Demon was a peaceful primate until twisted into a new, demonic form by Mephisto.
Bat Demon
Bats that gather near the gates of Hell are transformed into these Bat Demons.
Blunderbore
Blunderbores are warriors whose bodies have been physically transformed by powerful alchemical enhancements. The process all but destroys their brains, but that's ok, as all they really need are their muscles.
Claw Viper
It's not quite certain where Claw Vipers come from, just that they're demons that exist.
Leaper
These annoying, agile little creatures are named for their ability to leap great bounds.
Mummy & Sarcophagus
Mephisto takes the honored dead and bound them with spirits of demons to animate them into these dangerous enemies. These mummies can spawn relentlessly from a Mummy Sarcophagus until the player destroys it.
Greater Mummy
Mephisto is careful to only bound the strongest demons to the bodies of the most honored of the dead - creating these powerful Greater Mummies as a result.
Sand Raider
Once a race of powerful warriors, Sand Raiders are said to have made a pact with unknown forces to gain the ability to each fight with the strength of four men.
Scarab Demon
Not even beetles are safe from the corrupting powers of Hell.
Vulture Demon
While Vultures would only eat creatures that are already dead, Vulture Demons don't mind helping their prey get there first.
Maggots and Larvae
The less said about these creatures, the better.
Spiders
Spiders come in all sizes in Diablo II, the most notable being "giant".
Bugs
The most annoying thing about Swarms is they'll drain the players stamina, making it difficult to get away.
Traps & Towers
These dangerous constructs are empowered with magic to guard certain areas and treasures, and should be destroyed quickly. Below is a Fire Tower, a Gargoyle Trap, and a Lightning Spire.
