Stormwind's Spymaster Mathias Shaw seems to have his eye on a special someone.
Valeera Sanguinar
: The bitter war is over, yet it seems few among us are in the mood for celebration. Our young king least of all.
Master Mathias Shaw
: A great weight rests upon King Anduin's shoulders. I fear his burden won't get lighter anytime soon.
Valeera Sanguinar
: And what of you, Shaw? What is there for Stormwind's spymaster to do in a time of peace?
Master Mathias Shaw
: You know as well as I that a true spy never rests. There is always a new conspiracy to uncover. That said, I may find a bit of time for myself.
Valeera Sanguinar
: Just yourself?
Master Mathias Shaw
: There is someone I would like to... get to know better. But such things are best taken slowly. Carefully.
Valeera Sanguinar
: Spoken like a true spy. Just remember, happiness is a fleeting thing. Find it while you can, Shaw.
Master Mathias Shaw
: Perhaps I will, Valeera. Perhaps I will.
Magni Bronzebeard, former king of Ironforge and now Speaker of Azeroth, has a warm exchange with his brother, famed explorer Brann Bronzebeard
Magni Bronzebeard
: I know we've got a grim battle ahead o' us... but it feels good tae be swingin' a hammer again.
Brann Bronzebeard
: Well ye haven't lost yer touch! It's good tae see ye back in the thick o' battle.
Magni Bronzebeard
: After all the pain the Old Gods have inflicted upon Azeroth, I have tae do my part in givin' em some payback.
Brann Bronzebeard
: Ye've done more than yer part already, Magni. And no matter what comes, I'll stand with ye until the very end.
The brothers continue to discuss events from their home and the council of clans which now rule it, including Magni's daughter Moira.
Magni Bronzebeard
: Brann. Do ye make it back tae Ironforge often?
Brann Bronzebeard
: Every now and then, or at least I try tae. Why do ye ask, brother?
Magni Bronzebeard
: Well, it's just, eh... Moira, how has she been?
Brann Bronzebeard
: Ye should be proud. She's a strong leader, and a fine mother tae her wee one. But, eh... maybe ye should ask her yerself.
Magni Bronzebeard
: Aye, yer right. It's just... in some ways it's easier talkin' tae a planet than it is speakin' tae me own daughter.
Brann Bronzebeard
: Thank the Forge ye've been given a chance tae change that. Tae make things right between ye.
Magni Bronzebeard
: Aye, and I plan tae. For her mother's sake... and me own.
Brann Bronzebeard, longtime explorer devoted to unravelling the mysteries of the Titans is in awe of the wealth of information and technology in the Chamber of the Heart.
Brann Bronzebeard
: I cannae believe I get tae see all o' this titan technology in action!
MOTHER
: Understood. Compiling corroborating evidence of current functionality.
Brann Bronzebeard
: That's not what I--never mind. I've been studyin' the titans fer years, is all. It's excitin'!
MOTHER
: Affirmative. Previous Forge activations resulted in momentary elevation of physiological responses from proximal organic lifeforms.
Brann Bronzebeard
: Momentary? They were only riled up for a little while? Why?
MOTHER
: Termination of organic matter due to rapid reorigination.
Brann Bronzebeard
: Ooh. Yeah... that'd do it.
Brann tries to explain why life is worth fighting for.
Brann Bronzebeard
: It comes down tae this... all the gizmos that the titans left behind tae contain the Old Gods.
MOTHER
: Old God containment compromised. Immediate reorigination advised.
Brann Bronzebeard
: I know, but if we don't properly calibrate the Forge, we won't just be gettin' rid o' N'Zoth--we'll be erasin' the whole world along with him!
MOTHER
: Inaccurate statement. Reorigination sequence preserves structural integrity of world unit Azeroth.
Brann Bronzebeard
: Aye, the planet itself would survive, but a world is more than just mountains and rivers. It's made up of all o' the people who call it home.
MOTHER
: Error. Input not recognized.
Brann Bronzebeard
: I was afraid ye might say somethin' like that...
Highkeeper Ra, the titanic watcher who gave life to the Mogu and was subsequently enslaved by Lei Shen, is also quite taken with MOTHER.
Ra-den
: MOTHER, you reconfigured the Engine of Nalak'sha to help power the Forge of Origination?
MOTHER
: Affirmative.
Ra-den
: Incredible! The level of expertise that would require... You are most impressive.
MOTHER
: Initiating commendation reception protocol: Thank you.
Ra-den
: I would... appreciate... the opportunity to converse with you further on the matter.
MOTHER
: Scheduling conversation for next available cycle. Please stand by.
Ra-den
: Oh. Yes. Of course.
The effects of N'Zoth's release are being felt throughout the world, from Uldum to Pandaria.
King Phaoris
: We know little of the Amathet, save that they believe themselves the sole defenders of the titans' great works.
In their eyes, all others are corrupted and must be purged through reorigination. It is imperative that they be kept away from the Forge.
To the west, another threat looms. Terrible monstrosities have emerged from the sands and gather in great numbers.
Though we suspect they hail from Ahn'Qiraj, they are unlike any qiraji or silithid we have faced before.
And worst of all, our priests are plagued by unrelenting nightmares. They see our cities burning to ash and our people turning against each other.
I fear that these visions are but the harbinger of something far more dire. We must prepare ourselves for disaster.
Stormspeaker Qian
: As you have seen, the mantid have begun to swarm. I did not realize they had grown so bold as to invade Mogu'shan Vaults.
This is far too early for another cycle to begin. The rise of their new empress must have spurred them to action.
Meanwhile, our scouts report that a massive mogu army is assembling in the north, in numbers not seen since the days of Lei Shen.
With the attention of the Golden Lotus divided, the mogu clearly see an opportunity to conquer the Vale and subjugate everyone within.
Most troubling of all... though the Vale has been cleansed of the sha's corruption, a tangible sense of dread lingers in the air.
The Highkeeper speaks of a looming threat that we are powerless to stop. I cannot draw him out of his malaise. Perhaps you will fare better.
Il'gynoth appears to have a new prophecy.
Il'gynoth
: Before the last shadow falls, the Father of Sleep shall savor his feast.
The golden one claims a vacant throne. The crown of light will bring only darkness.
When their mistress beckons, nine ravens take flight. Each seeks a prize to earn her favor.
The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green.
Five lanterns, now darkened. The flame they seek will light the masters' way.
The blind queen wields a scepter of bone. From the deep she calls forth doom.
The cunning ones kneel before six masters, but serve only one.
