Very good for Bear druids (particularly 'of the Monkey'). It has the best armor of any shoulders until ZG/AB gear. The AB epic shoulders are probably the first thing you would replace this with.

These are the best rogue/druid twnk shoulders out there, and great even if you aren't twinking. You won't be replacing them until LBRS/UBRS/Scholo/Strat/BRD come into play.

First pair of spaulders to drop - Of Defense :p Took only 6 stealth runs.

In case anyone is wondering, Zolo doesn't drop them - ANY of the 6 mini-boss trolls do. They're all fairly easy to solo as a druid, just pay attention to what they do and you'll own them. The three to look out for are Hukku, Zolo and Mijan. Hukku and Zolo summon adds; Zolo by placing totems during the fight. If you destroy Zolo's totem as soon as it appears, you can fight him the same way as Hukku - ignore his adds and just pound on the troll, bash when you need to heal and then pop either a rejuv + regrowth or a HT. The adds do incredibly little damage otherwise. Mijan is easy, but the fight takes about 12-20 min (depending on your gear) because he can practically heal himself to full even after he's run out of mana. He slowly gets worn down... not worth fighting for the low drop rate of spaulders, IMO - just skip him and do the other 5.

BTW - Allakhazam comments say the spaulders are 198 ar with +19 Def when you get "Atal'ai Spaulders of Defense".

Not true. The pair I just got are 193 ar with only +13 Defense. I suspect it's like any of the other stats on the Atal'ai items and gives either +13 or +14.

Atal'ai Spaulders of the monkey dropped the first time my group killed Zolo..

+12 Agility
+13 stamina

Not really the ones i want, but the armor kicks ass compared to the lvl requirement on them..

But.. what i really want to say is:

They look like ^&*!

Is The Temple of Atal'Hakkar known as Sunken Temple? i think it is by memory but i could be wrong, and if it is it could probably be farmed quickly :D

Got these a few months ago. got !@#$%ed at by a rogue for rolling. (I was a druid) later replaced with Death's Clutch and vendored these. I am now kicking myself and heading back to ST to farm some.

Just did all of them xcept Mijan, as a lvl 57 feral druid with a few blues and most greens.
The hardest are Gasher and Hukku.
Gasher hits really hard, so a 100rage into frenzy is needed, I had 3300 hp in bearform. You can try it with a bash/regrowth but if you miss your dead for sure.
Hukku is easy in itself, even with all the minions, but if he curses you at the start you can screw up.
The curse gives +50 dmg to any of the minions or he's attacks, and thats kind big.
But he doesnt always use the curse, and not always at the start.

The others are easy, really, the totem guy is easy, the skellies are weak, just keep some rage, target and swipe it, I always got a skelly because Im a clicker, but never got killed by the guy.
If it lookslike ur getting pwned save up for a regen also.

The shield bash guy is safer with a frenzied regen also, if he bashes you (that absh does 150 dmg) while your healing in caster ur dead.

Mind it, I couldnt kill any of them until lvl 55. Dont even try under that.

Zolo seemed pretty easy to me. I could kill the totem in bear form after it spawned like one skeleton, and since they just drop dead after a few seconds, I only had 3 up at most. They don't hurt barely at all.

I opened with Ravage and got a 5pt rip on him, then switched to bear. He goes down quick- I frenzied and that was that.

Can any of these be soloed by a sword-rogue with a couple of epics to get some nice FR shoulders?

25 trips to Sunken Temple, going on 30. Killed all 6 bosses solo including Mijan. All that time and not a wiff of the spaulders! The breastplate dropped in back to back runs. Id give up, but I end up tanking most of the higher 5 man runs when the guild warrior's not on, and an extra 300-400 armor in bear form is invaluable.

Zolo is obviously gonna be a cakewalk if you have some epics, but I still think he's safely doable if you just stay in one place and get ready to swipe the totem asap. And he's actually the most fun fight after you get them down cold.

Did the same with Mijan but his healing wards kept coming up in diff spots so I had to turn or reposit constantly.

Watch out for Gasher though, you get overconfident and stay in Cat one moment too long and it's buh-bye.

Cloak of Warding and as much Armor as you can find will help this go easier.

Edit: Finally dropped of the Owl for me after I'd say maybe ten runs. More useful is the cloth gloves of Healing that dropped on the first run - I wear those every big raid we do, the combined + Healing on those easily outdoes most epic gloves.

I'm considering going in again for another ten runs, looking for some stamina or at least something related to str/agi/sta - but more than likely I'll just spend my time BGing instead since I need the rank 8 stuff and might get reasonably close to the good AB reward shoulders that way too.

Yes, this is in ST, which is located in Swamp of Sorrows.

I've been told that level 51 druids can solo about 4 of the 6 mini bosses.

Here is a comprehensive writeup from Mitskurina from Gorgonnash realm as posted in the official WoW Druid boards:

So argualby the best feral shoulders in the game are up for grabs in the Sunken Temple, dropped about 3% of the time from any of the 6 troll bosses on the platforms overlooking the pit of sacrifice. They have a random modifier that can make them better or worse for tanking. The best mod going is probably 'of Defense' which apparently yields you a whopping +19 to defence, but 'of the Bear' or 'of Stamina' would be nice too. I've seen mention of soloing them on the druid forum from time to time, but I've yet to see a decent guide. So I wandered in on my own and picked up a few things I thought I'd share...

Getting there:
Enter the instance and take either of the two middle corridors, take the stairs up. Watch for the patrol - there's one on every staircase, and they can be a nasty surprise on the blind corners (stick to the inside or outside wall at all times and you'll be fine). Before you reach the Hall of the Cursed there will be a landing with a bunch of mobs on it. There's another exit off the landing that opens onto one of the other platforms - there are 4 of these in all. To reach the others, go up to the Hall of the Cursed and look for other staircases leading down off the outside of the ring. Also, on the inside of the ring are entrances to two of the platforms.

Yeehaw! ASCII diagrams! The entrance is at the north end, and heading south, the middle left corridor takes you to platform 1. The middle right takes you to platform 6. Platforms 2 and 5 are accessed via the inside of the ring. 1, 3, 4, and 6 are all accessed from the outside lower landings.

Good times:
Hukku - warlock with 3 minions. Surprisingly easy - the minions don't hit hard (and many of the imp's fireballs will be resisted) and he goes down easy. Sometimes he doesn't even have his minions out, and just hits you with his bare hands and fires the occasional shadow bolt. That doesn't work too well for him.
Gasher - dual-wielding melee type. Hits fast, and fairly hard, but very doable with a frenzied regen and a bash/regrowth.
Loro - warrior-type with shield-bash. A fairly long fight, but pretty easy.
Zul'Lor - He's got a two-handed axe, but he hits like a 10 year-old girl. The only unpleasant ability he has is this debuff that decreases all attributes by 10. He likes to spam it, and it stacks up to -100 to all attrs, so it's not long before you're hitting him only slightly harder than he's hitting you. Still, while the debuff draws the fight out, the result is never in doubt.

Not recommended:
Mijan - heals himself constantly. I fought him for a good 15 minutes before I'd drained his mana pool, and even then the regen rate was such that he could keep himself at 1/3 to 1/2 health for another 10 minutes. I finally slivered him, got impatient, and died while attempting to moonfire spam him. Doable, but not worth the time.
Zolo - shaman who summons billions of skeletons via a special totem he likes to spam. He probably wouldn't be too hard if you could destroy the totems quickly enough, but given the attack speed of bearform, expect a skelly or two with every totem. Not fun.

Another thing that is worth paying attention to:
Hukku's imp will sometimes run away when he goes oom (which doesn't take long). If you're on one of the platforms accessed via the outer stairwells (1, 3, 4, 6 in my diagram), he can sometimes wander far enough down the corridor to aggro the group of trolls outside. If Hukku spawns on one of these platforms, I like to pull him as far from the platform entrance as possible so the imp is less tempted to leave the area, and he's next on the hitlist after Hukku, even though he's the one mob who doesn't do any damage. If Hukku is on platform 2 or 5, this isn't an issue, so I kill the succubus and voidwalker, then the imp.

I just "Zoloed" him =p~~~~

I just took on Zolo in the first try. Wasn't a problem. I stayed in catform for the most of the fight. I had 4 cenarion pieces on for ac and sta in bear, and some int for healing. Other than that I had some good feral pieces on.

He died pretty quick so he only made 3 totems, which I smashed quick in catform.

He doesn't hit hard, when he was at 10% I was at around 20% health, so I changed out and NS'ed myself with a high rank healing touch. That took me too 100%. Then changed to bear and finished the job.

Went well.
