If you havn't tried this then you are missing out on the best thing in the game. Base Jumping!
The best giggle i had in this game for a long time, we spent an hour doing this and a good amount of gold.... :)
There is an Elf (Marli Wishrunner) at the foot of the Mountain on the left in Feralas (the Colossal's) who transports you to the top of the one where Kalin is, then you need to find a suitable spot to jump off and do your base jump thing.
most fun with your clothes on.

This vendor is located on the east peak of The Twin Colossals.

The NPC to teleport you to the top of the mountain is called Marli Wishrunner (https://www.cuckhead.com/classic/npc=8313) and she is found on the east side of the western peak.

The parachute is Bind on pickup and only lasts for 20 minutes... The timer on the slow-fall is 10 seconds. Make sure not to open it too soon or you will fall to an untimely demise like I did :)

this is the solution to getting down from the quest To The Top. Works for 5sec. If you use the SW side of the mountain it will dump you out over the lake. fall into the lake to live.

Just jump at east side waterfall intro that pool below waterfall.

Seriously...it wasn't that hard... wait a few seconds before using the parachute. A few seconds from the ground, use it! I did it on my first try. You guys just proved again that the human race is retarded. Great going.

I think the point about these things is that at the top of the colossal, where u get teleported, there is a pond. This pond looks like a really great place to fish, try it out.

Fished the pond and the best fish was a sunscale salmon 9lvl 35). I am a high level fisherman and didn't drop a fish. Maybe you stand somewhere and get something.

Also tried my feather potion to look at the sides.

this sucked lol...didn't realize i couldn't use it mounted and jumped off, then didn't have time to dismount...i hit a cliff edge and died, walked all the way back to my body and couldn't reach it...then had to try to find the spirit healer again lol....i hate this parachute

when you buy it it will only be usable for 20 minutes. its possible to use this to get close to the bottom of darnassus.

i used slow fall with my mage from the waterfall at back of darnassus, slow fall lasted 30 secs and then it cut out - cue plummeting for 20 seconds into the sea - its a long way down - good fun tho

In fact it's possible to use this to get all the way down safely: go to the Gnarlpine Hold in the southwest and there's a set of branches. Get all the way out on the farthest reachable tip (right, then left if memory serves) and take a running jump. Hit the parachute pretty early and pray you land in the water. I'm pretty sure being a rogue with the falling bonus didn't help much since I took no damage on impact, but I did land only about 3 yards offshore.
