I have set everything up according to the guide for my PHPBB 2.0.12 forum, but when i do "Bracers of Might" in a post absolutley nothing shows (the code is there when I edit it). Anyone got any ideas?
I had exactly the same problem in my phpbb plus 1.53 install. I hope someone can find out how to fix that problem since it would work a lot easier/nicer than going through the trouble of setting up a complete itemstats database again.
I managed to get the
http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=28587
to give a mouseover and even when i did a link with the tags it worked, but on itemname with the links as posted by Horris and Pythagoras i was unable to get it working.
I designed my mod to work with phpBB 3.0 and haven't had the opportunity to test it with any other version. I'll see if I can't get something working for older versions and post it up here sometime this week. However, since I work fulltime, I may not be able to get to it until this weekend.

Hi there. This looks like a great tool but, how would I modify it to work with e107? I'd like it to work site wide using the normal itemstats style if possible. If it was an e107 plugin it would be even better!!
Thanks
I too, would love to implement this on my e107 forum. I am a windows application developer by trade, so branching out a little into web shouldn't be too difficult (hopefully :P) Just some pointers in the right direction may be enough to get me playing.
That shouldn't be a problem. I'll take a deeper look at it this weekend. Stay tuned.
Thank You!

I am trying to get the phpBB3 mod that Horris wrote to work in phpBB2. However, I don't know the syntax to use to get the codes in the bbcode.php file that phpBB2 has.
Anyone able to do that?

I'd love to integrate this with my Mediawiki page on my website. I've been able to get the tooltips to work, but the background is completely white and it makes it impossible to see the text. Anyone have any suggestions or have worked on this themselves and could post up what they did?

Anything on phpNuke? ;) Would be nice for adding a link in the front page news thing... That also is integrating phpBB I am guessing?

Can you provide us a screenshot of that?

Is there any sort of quick fix to make the backgrounds on the tooltips opaque, rather than semi-transparent, for the sake of readability?

Still nothing for phpBB2?

not sure if this was covered but I created a very simple userscript that just does what he suggests in the first post. It adds:
<script src="
http://www.cuckhead.com/widgets/power.js"></script>
to the page for US and EU forums
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/16762
this is a greasemonkey script FYI

Because some friendly guilds asked me how they can make wowhead-tooltips avaiable in their message-boards and some user's asking on the wowhead-forums the same questions I wrote up this litte step-by-step workout.
This is how you can install the wowhead-tooltips on your vBulletin-Board including the creation of a brand-new vbCode-Tag.
For anyone using a licensed copy of vbulletin (which everyone should be), you can use the Plugin i wrote for vBulletin
http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1404216
Which is a one step process.

On some items on my website it goes
Loading...
and then
No response from the server =/
, while some other links work.
I just visited the page and had no problem with the mouseover tooltips.

I got solution for using Horris script in phpBB2. With this script you can use following bbcode with tooltip, URL and item quality color:
Megaepic
So, follow this steps:
1. Download phpBB Wowhead mod by Horris
http://mattmayers.com/download/phpBB_wowhead_mod.zip
2. Then, unzip and copy the whole wow/ directory to the root directory of your phpBB install.
3. Next, for every template you want this to work with you have to edit the overall_header.html file and add the following lines right before the </head> tag...
<script src="
http://www.cuckhead.com/widgets/power.js"></script>
<script src="wow/jquery-1.2.1.js"></script>
<script src="wow/wowhead_linker.js"></script>
4. Open /forum/templates/YourOwnTemplate/bbcode.tpl
Add this in the bottom of the file:
<!-- BEGIN wow --><a href="wow/wowhead_wrapper.php?item={TEXT}" class="wowhead">{TEXT}</a><!-- END wow -->
5. Open /forum/includes/bbcode.php
* Find this line:
$bbcode_tpl = str_replace('{EMAIL}', '\\1', $bbcode_tpl);
and insert these line after it:
$bbcode_tpl = str_replace('{TEXT}', '\\1', $bbcode_tpl);
* Find this line:
$replacements;
and insert these lines after it:
// text
$patterns(.*?)\#is";
$replacements;
DONE! )
This is compilation and modification of posts wrote by Kalroth and by Horris. But i still have problem with white font of common items, how to resolve it - i dont know right now)

Have you tried
document.write('<script src="
http://www.cuckhead.com/widgets/power.js"></scr'
+ 'ipt>');? Works for me on a MediaWiki installation. Are you adding it to a .js page, or just any random page?
