The Vol'kaal Trash Skip in Atal'Dazar

The trash pack in front of Vol'kaal is one of the hardest pulls in Atal'dazar. In this post, we'll go over a couple ways to skip this trash pack.
The Trash Pack
The Trash pack before Vol'kaal contains two
Reanimierte Ehrenwache
s (with 1 Reanimation Totem) and two
Hexendoktorin der Zanchuli
s. This pack contains:
A large amount of AoE damage after the Reanimated Totem dies
High Single Target damage from
Giftstoß
casts
An interruptable Crowd Control ability,
Instabile Verhexung
A stacking Tank Bleed
Reißendes Zermalmen
As there are two of each mob, the outgoing damage of this pack is very high and most groups will opt to skip it.
1. Two CC's, Ring of Peace
The requirements for this strategy are as follows:
A Monk with
Ring des Friedens
The same Monk's
Paralyse
Another Hard Crowd Control ability that works on Humanoids
In order to execute this skip:
The Monk should use
Ring des Friedens
on one
Reanimierte Ehrenwache
The other player should use their Crowd Control on the
Hexendoktorin der Zanchuli
which is on the same side as the Paralyzed creature.
Ring des Friedens
should be used to push both CC'ed mobs away from the edge.
Ring of Peace doesn't cause creatures to enter combat and because the mobs are CC'ed, they don't move back into their regular position allowing the group to sneak past.
After defeating Vol'kaal, you can use the same trick to get back out as enough time will have passed for the cooldowns to come back up.

On Teeming week, another Undead CC is required as there is a bonus

on each side.
2. Two CC's, Combat Drop
This strategy is very similar to the above and requires:
One Crowd Control that works on an Undead creature
One Crowd Control ability that works on a Humanoid
One party member with the ability to drop combat (Mage, Hunter, Rogue, Night Elf)
In order to execute this skip:
Crowd Control the
Reanimierte Ehrenwache
and
Hexendoktorin der Zanchuli
on one side
The party member that can drop combat should walk on that same side past the CC mobs (which will cause them to enter combat).
The rest of the group should now walk past the CC mobs, which will NOT cause them to enter combat.
The player in combat should now drop combat using their class ability:
Unsichtbarkeit
,
Totstellen
,
Verschwinden
,
Schattenmimik

After defeating Vol'kaal, you can use the same trick to get back out if the cooldowns are back up.
A rogue can Crowd Control both mobs.
On Teeming week, another Undead CC is required as there is a bonus

on each side.
3. Shroud of Concealment / Invisibility Potion
Each of these abilities will only work when entering or leaving as the cooldown is 5 minutes. However, you could, for example, use Shroud of Concealment to enter, and then an Invisibility Potion to leave as their cooldowns are separate.
For this skip, you need one of the following:
A Rogue.
Every player in the party with some form of
Unsichtbarkeitstrank
(

Skaggldrynk
,

On Teeming week, this method is not possible as the added
Zuls Schildträger
has True Sight.
4. Tank Death
This method has an intentional death, but doesn't have any specific class compositions.
The Tank should mount up, aggroing the pack and dragging the creatures to the side, making sure to go far and living until the group can make their way past.
Once the mobs have moved far enough away, the rest of the group can run through without getting in combat and the Tank can die.
You'll have to resurrect your Tank afterwards.
5. Over the Water
This method only works when entering Vol'kaal's arena, and you'll have to use another method to leave the arena. No specific class compositions are required.
You'll have to work your way to the far side, moving around the mobs. To do this, you can jump down onto the stairs (watch out for the two
Schattenklingenpirscher
s) and hug the left wall when climbing the stairs. This puts you next to the water and some rocks.
Mount up and climb to the top of the rocks.
Jump at the tip of the rocks while going forwards towards the water.
Move forward along the invisible wall, and the wall will eventually end, allowing you access to Vol'kaal's platform.

There are two invisible walls in this area that Blizzard has placed, as can be seen in the image below.
The Orange Wall was added first but it doesn't extend to the wall, so players can just walk around it. The Red Wall was added second but since it extends to the tip of the rock, you can just jump over it.
History: The Gateway through the Wall
As a little bit of history, there used to be another way to skip this trash pack using
Dämonisches Tor
.
The wall on the right side of Vol'kaal allowed a Warlock to place a
Dämonisches Tor
through the wall, allowing players to use the Gateway and get in and out easily. This was fixed in Patch 8.1.
