Para mata-la, fique atento quando for anunciado que ela vai usar a Chama da vida, corra para um dos pilares (que estão em pé) do lado dela.
Espere a skill sumir e volte a atacar, como paladino proteção eu atacava 4x e já corria para o pilar.

Go to the pavilion type deal that's in ruins and wait for the green dragon to spawn. Talk to her, kill her, finish quest.

Wowhead seems to say that this is a horde only quest, but unless there's an alliance version with the same name, I was able to get this quest as a NE druid.

I got this quest as a human Mage even thought Wowhead says it's horde only, but I couldn't get any followup quests. She just flew away...

I arrived, buffed up, saw another player fighting the Dragon, flew up to wait, and got credit for the quest just for watching.

After Alysra is resurrected as a phoenix, an in-game message says that you will see her again. Alysra has probably become Alysrazor, the 3rd boss of Firelands.

Said fiery chicken flies off into the distance. Yes, you're letting it fly off: it has 7 million hitpoints and you're some shmuck who showed up for an easy 20 gold. She's some raid's problem now.

Note: the management is not responsible for explaining how a green dragon can be transformed into an Anzu that is on fire and uses the protodrake skeleton for animations. Admittedly, if we ever got to see an animation besides the ridiculous flapping to stay airborne and the even more ridiculous rear-back-and-flap, it'd probably look AWESOME.

Perhaps someone could explain how not to die while doing this? I talk to the dragon who turns attackable. I (feral druid) start attacking her, run behind pillar when it tells me to get out of its breath, but no druids turn up & I die. Twice now.

Am I missing something obvious or is this actually an unmarked group quest?

How do you turn the quest in? I killed her and it says the quest is complete in my log but there is no where to turn it in. No question mark icon on the map nothing.

Got the quest, turned it in through auto turn in, she flew away, what now? No more quests popped up, went to ysera and she has nothing for me...

I completed this quest. First I died. Then I hid behind a pillar while I went for a pepsi and a snack. When I came back, the quest was completed. Easiest ever!

For those asking for help with this fight, it is easily soloable. I've done it with a fully geared prot warrior, as well as a brand new 85 kitty and brand new 85 lock. She's not the hardest hitter during the regular phase so there shouldn't be too much of an issue dying to melee, the only real killer is her "deep breath" ability. As soon as she starts to channel immediately hide behind a nearby pillar, remembering that the point on her you're hiding from is her head. If you've got a bleed or other DoT be sure they're all ticking so you're still damaging her while you're hiding. There should be at least 2 if not 3 of these deep breath phases so if you're having trouble you can try to bandage or health pot during the second and you should be fine for the rest of the fight. Rinse and repeat until you win.

Also to clarify a few misconceptions, the druids do NOT come to help you. The flame druids arrive after she dies to rez her as a flame dragon. Also there is no turn in point, A ? box pops on your screen to get credit. Seeing as those often pop up for a chain it's understandable if you click on it to turn it in and forget about it, or think there's more, but that's it.

can someone tell me what i am doing wrong? i killed alysra... the druids came and rezzed her... the end. i got no credit for killing alysra. the map shows that alysra still needs to be slain at the same location where i stand. no popup came telling me i finished the quest. how do i kill

edit: nvm i was still in a tol barad raid group when i killed alsyra. i hate when that happens

Personally I found her to be quite the heavy-hitter, but after pairing up with a worgen mage that was also having similar issues, she went down quite nicely.

I ran into a number of issues with my feral, but there are some offsets.

The toughest two were that 1) Hiding behind one or two of the pillars doesn't work; it's like they're "fake" pillars. So you're hiding behind the pillar and still getting burned up. Those seemed to be the pillars closest to her. 2) She shoots some kind of ball of fire that follows you around until it catches you. You can run from it for a long time but it will eventually catch you. Not a lot of fun.

Other issues - in running around, you can find places where you can't jump back up onto the fighting area, as if there was a kind of invisible wall. If you're a healer and you run out of mana, you're toast, as the saying goes. Also, you can't start the quest and then stealth while's she's yakking because she knocks you out of stealth when she stops talking. Not sure if this applies to rogues, but be prepared.

But....you can run away, out of range and behind some pillars that are actually "real," heal yourself and come back. It took me 15 minutes to kill her the second time and she never reset. Obviously, those with DoTs, just DoT her up, get behind a pillar and go have a cup of coffee. A little tougher for melee classes but hey, that's why we get the big bucks, right?

First two goes I was hiding behind the horizontal pillar chunk at an angle in front of Alysra, but was still being hit hard by the special breath.
The horizontal pillar chunk that is behind Alysra at the start, does work.

Okay, I get behind her when the message pops up, but she still rapes me. And my pet won't take aggro to save its life. Any tips?

This quest was a nightmare for a DK. I could do nothing to get out of her fiery breath. so I gave up.

Read all the hints but still kept getting killed (3 times), druid lvl 85 solo. I hid behind several different pillars, even jumped over side smack up against wall and she still got me. My error was picking pillars that were around her. Trick was to hide in the pavilion behind at least the third pillar back, this kept her unable to see me in any way shape or form. Popped out to renew a couple spells when she wasn't blowing fire at me, was amazingly easy once I figured out location.

As others who play feral druids have commented, this fight can be a stinker. Observations with my feral after seeing comments here (which were quite helpful):

1. Most important - you MUST hide from her flame attack! Best way is to get behind a pillar, but:
2. The pillars in front of Alystra at the start of the fight provide no cover from her flame attack.
3. The broken piece of pillar lying horizontal behind where she stands before you start the fight provides no cover from her flame attack.
4. The taller pillars behind where she is standing at the start of the fight do provide cover from her flame attack.
5. The edges of the "aisle" she is standing in at the start of the fight look like a curb, and you have to jump to get over it. This can be important when you're trying to maneuver around to get behind a pillar to avoid her flame attack.
6. Going bear form for extra armor and hitpoints does not help, because her flame attack is magic and goes through armor. You are better off doing the fight in cat form for the extra movement speed you get.

Just a note - ranged attackers have much less trouble with this fight than melee. When I did this with my 85 hunter, he just walked up, talked to her, sent in his pet and killed her.

For reference, my druid's gear is i-level 359: he has 125k HP. The hunter's gear is i-level 358: he has 116k HP and used a ferocity pet (cat) for this fight.

Um, the fallen pillars directly behind her do NOT protect you from her breath (says a well-crisped hunter a bit testily).

I had to dive behind the standing pillars towards her flank to avoid dying, and then indeed encountered the edge of the aisle problem - no easily popping out from behind a pillar in this one! Luckily for some reason her breath didn't affect my pet, and he dragged her down while I hid with the slimmest sliver of health left. I only healed him a few times (which was lucky because I was either caught in her breath or stuck behind a pillar and couldn't "see" him for the spell to work). He finished her off in full health - go figure.

Thanks for the pointers. Would have given it up, or had to wait for friends.

My character is a feral druid with about 107K health.

Some things that may help:

She will not pursue you, but will attack from where she is.
For feral druids, the following is what I did to kill her and may help if you are having trouble.

Just as she was ending her speech and was about to attack I started the following sequence:

1. Tiger's Fury
2. Faerie Fire (Feral) (of course)
3. Rake
4. Mangle (until I had 5 combo points)
5. Rip
6. Ran away to the east, just south of the pavilion, where it seems a column may have blocked her sight of me.
7. Healed
8. Waited until I saw her attack was ending.
9. Ran back to her.
10. Rinse and repeat.

Trying to pick this up as a fresh lvl 85 rogue with a 293 reported ilevel has netted me nothing, checked the inn at the port in point-nothing, waited by the santuary-nothing so? to low iLevel?

after obtaining the 365 quest cloak it appeared so, 312 ilevel was what i had reported so.

A word of warning for death knights, do not use you army of dead. They turned around and attacked the druids of flame when they appeared and as I had failed the fire I was nearly dead. Managed to get far away to zone out but one of them was still on my tail, however that one died.

So I missed the animations at the end when the chicken runs for it.

I just got it done with my Frost DK, took 10-12 tries, read all the tips, was getting frustrated and tried one last time after some advise from a guild member. Get next to the pillars that are right by her and close enough to run to quick. Get right behind them when prompted but don't wait too long, her regular "balls"? will get you there too. AS SOON as the big breath thing is done get back in and do all your best DPS, keep your best healing potion handy cuz your will both lose HP at about the same rate. You'll have to hide 2-3 times, but again, not for too long. That's what I did, it was tight, but I got her.

Ok rogues! I figured it out. You are going to need either a gun or a bow. and lots and lots and lots of bandages. get those things. trust me. then when you go to dragon lady you get her talking and get UNDER HER BELLY. you stabby stabby her when she turns red and when it says run for cover go hide behind the third complete pillar. use a bandage. let her run her fire mouth once more. go out till you can shoot. shoot her and run and hide. add bandages as needed. This takes forever but I finished the quest.

I tried TimeTraveler's tip several times but still was repeatedly killed using my feral Druid.

I couldn't see any pavilions, so assumed it meant a small dais behind the dragon. Though I was still attacked there, just not as much.

Eventually, a another player, who I don't know, turned up for the same quest and not realizing I was hiding behind a pillar to heal for a sec, (I wasn't scared, honest), started. 'We' ended up destroying the thing.

So, thank you kind stranger, whoever you are.

The only tip I can offer is to have better equipment than I have. :)

She was last seen in the Ruins of Lar'donir, west of the World Tree.]
