Right now (beta build 13066) this quest is slightly bugged -- in order to "break down" the statue, you must attack it before it becomes untargetable (roughly half a second after the channel from the quest item ends). I was able to do this by spamming an instant ability that targets the nearest aggressive mob near the end of the channel time. Once you're fighting it, you will need to wait for a meteor to land on the ground; right-click on it to throw it at the statue. 3-4 of those will kill it.

I was having a lot of difficulties with this one. I had traps down, I would drop the quest and re-take it, clearing my cache.. I was trying everything. Then out of frustration I was spamming the item to trigger the quest and finally one of my traps broke at the beginning of the 2nd spam and the fight was on. I never found the meteor however but it wasn't an issue to burn him down manually. Spam your disc and hope for the best.

I can active the sculpture, i can fight him; my problem is that I didn't see any meteor....I just kept killing him...then finished the quest. Didn't feel any hard on killing him. Bug too?

For those having trouble, you have to be up on the platform, near the edge facing the statue for this to work. Doing it on the ground next to the statue will prompt error text saying something like. "You need to be in the chamber of the sun to use this" even when you are.

Just jump down next to him and pop the eye and kill him normally. The way they wanted you to do it keeps making him despawn before he dies.

After you pick up this quest, you will move east a bit to the enterance to the chamber. Use your Titan Device to active the guard. Avoid most of his fire spells, click on the meteor after he casts them (usually he will throw a spell on you that increases your movement as a headsup just before meteor) 5 or so will bring him down. Collect the item and fly up to the quest turn in - in the same room.

Just completed this on live and this is what I have to say-
When you're attacking him, go to the floor beneath the platform and activate him. If you stay on the platform, he despawns on the 2nd meteor.

On the floor, just burn him down and remember to activate the giant meteors to kill him faster, similar to "The Sun" in The Day Deathwing Came quest.

A very peculiar issue I ran across... the statue got close to the wall and when he went to spawn the meteor it was spawned mid-air. What is truly peculiar is that the meteor spawns at level with the statues crotch. This left my poor draenai paladin jumping in the air swing and grabbing up the statues...skirt...to activate the meteor. I feel so dirty now :-\

After you kill the statue, go up to the platform in the center of the room and click on the question mark to complete the quest.

for me to do it i had to just go to the floor and kill him. the orb things where useless

He bugged for me a few times. Standing on the platform and trying to kill him with the meteor didn't work because he'd just go to full health, so I activated him and stood on the edge and with my back towards him and clicked the meteor and went flying off the edge. I'm a Paladin so I had to divine shield to avoid death from falling, but after that not a big deal. He'll still deal the meteors and I timed it so that I killed him with a meteor just in case. Seemed to work.

He does basically next to no damage but he hurts if you stand in his beaming gaze. I'm sure any ranged can simply do this from the platform and avoid any melee attacks from him.

You need to stay on the lower ground to activate the guardian
Just stay around the lens area and wait for him to throw you the meteor, which eventually you will throw it back to him about 4-5 of those will kill him
You don't need to attack him head on, stay at the lens area will be safe

Make sure that you are starting on bottom floor, not the platform of the tomb where you turn the quest in. If you do stand on the platform, the meteors will only surround him in the air, and you cannot hit him. Also, I am a warlock, and noticed that my Void Walker was taking aggro like usual. This however caused my meteors to float in the air where I was not able to get them. I dismissed him mid-fight and it seem to have fixed the problem.

After you manage to kill the titan statue, turn in this quest above you by clicking on the yellow "?".

I spent 5minutes wondering why I couldn't click the device underneath the yellow "?"..

To be more precise, to turn the quest back the yellow question mark can be found inside the cave on the platform, not on the ground level.

After completing the fight, turn in the quest in the center of the platform at the bottom of the ramp (same room as the fight).

Fight gone ok and got the lens Quest completed in Q log and Question Mark on minimap as stated. But NOT in chamber, nothing to click on !

I just tried to make this quest 6 times and then find out that you must stand on the middle of the plate where the "?" mark is and click the ? mark. It is that simple...

okay, so for those who are trying to find the ? I had a hard time, i was up and down the whole time, after the fight, if you look up, you will see a little, bridge looking thing, fly up there, you will see the ?

I ran into a bug? where there were no graphics for meteors in the room. I had shot him a couple times, and started a heal on my pet worm (even though he didn't need it). I ran around trying to see this darn meteor, and my worm killed him while I looked, so you really don't need the meteor to off him.

If you are having trouble finding the quest completion, get off your flying mount and walk up the ramp. Its on the platform between the floor and ceiling.

What meteor? It kept saying to click on the meteor to do critical damage but I didn't see any meteors. I just ignored the messages and killed him with my felguard. Did they not get complaints from users during the beta? I can't believe that everyone who did this quest did it using the meteors.

Found the statue all the way down, in a corner...
DK - so i used DnD and started channeling.
Fight started ... dodging fire pools and watching out for meteors being cast ... oops .. i killed the statue.
The meteors are either random or they nerfed the poor statue.

Horrible quest. Can't kill him with the meteors - he goes to full health in between every one. I'm strictly melee (rogue) so I can't shoot him with anything because he is too far away to throw daggers. And, since I'm a rogue I can't go down and fight him or he kills me in a couple of stomps. So, basically, I can stand on the platform and very slowly die from being hit by fire as I uselessly "kick" meteors at him. I finally gave up and walked away shaking my little rogue head...

Edited 5/22 @ 8:40p. Spoke to a GM in-game who watched me play the quest. Confirmed it is bugged. Word is to keep trying and see if it starts working, if not open a new ticket. So, this quest line is stopped for me for now.

Two months ago on my rogue I did this quest without any trouble, now I try to do it with my hunter and it suddenly doens't work anymore :/.

lol, i did it on my hunter today and i could see the meteors but i couldn't reach them so i just nuked him with my shale spider tank, NUKE NUKE NUKE

Let's be clear:
There are 3 ways into the Chamber of the Sun and to the Titan Statue and two levels to the Chamber.
1. Down the nice spiral ramp at the south end of the obelisk's base; this takes you to the upper level where the key you get from the Statue is used to activate the obelisk (find the gray question mark). See screenshot.
2. An excavated entrance on the south face (below the level of the plateau's surface) of the plateau the obelisk is on; this takes you to the lower level, which is an excavation in progress, very near the Statue. See screenshot 2
3. An excavated entrance on the north face of the plateau; this takes you to the lower level, on the opposite side of the Statue. See screenshot 2.

After I kill the statue and get the lens, a question mark shows up on my minimap. However, no question mark is showing up in the chamber.
Not on the lens or above the lens.... :(

Fly in from the side at 46,61. Soloed easily in catform by using the meteors, which worked fine. Turn in quest on on high platform in the middle of the room, NOT back at Jones.

Quest ends with yet another unskippable cinematic, but not too long of one.
